2431 W Montrose Ave, Chicago“I have only been inside Aldi once since I have lived in Chicago. I'd never heard of them before since they aren't on the west coast, but I know they're popular here and in Europe... but I could never get into them. I was also put off by the deposit required for carts, since I don't usually carry cash and stuff. It didn't help that the one I went to was kinda dirty and gross. Anyway, this store has been here for what, a decade? Something close at least since I remember when it was under construction. Today I went in because a friend tipped me off to one of their special Aldi deals that she thought my little one would like. They didn't have the item (though she schooled me in the Aldi ways and customs, so now I know I actually have to go tomorrow to see if they have the dress-up princess shoes I'm looking to buy and put away for a few years. The store was really clean and modern-looking, unlike the one that I went to many years ago. It looked bougie, even. I didn't have much of a chance to look around because I was on my lunch break and was lugging around a sleeping baby in a car seat, but I would be interested in taking a look around sometime. Or possibly more accurately, using their app because they do curbside pickup. That surprised me; I'm used to budget grocery stores (my mom has worked at Grocery Outlet for more than 20 years) and since these type of stores have rotating merchandise, they're not always keen to do something like curbside with items so in flux. But Aldi's going to save me a few bucks AND not make me actually go in and grocery shop, one of my least favorite activities? Ok, you've gained a customer.”
“Fast check out. Much better prices than other stores, great variety and organic options. Prefer many of the Aldi versions than brand name items. Fun household and assorted shoes and apparel department including electronics, health, exercise equipment. Great store. All employees have a great attitude, especially Maggie who has been there for years and knows her regulars.”

1508 W 47th St, Chicago“I enjoy shopping at Aldi's but more checkout lines need to be open. Most of the time the lines are far too long and the lines reach to the middle of the aisles”
“A enjoyable way to sample foods from another country. Especially enjoyed all the flavored chips, candy and other snacks. Lots of places to eat- a food court and 2 restaurants. Lovely housewares and fun shopping.”

3030 S Kedzie Ave, Chicago“For the first time I went to this Aldi store but the truth is that I was delighted by the tranquility and the kindness of the cashiers. The truth is that I loved it. I would love to be part of the staff of workers in this beautiful place.”
“My husband has been bringing me home Slice Shop everyday since he found the place. We have another favorite pizza place in the area but think Slice Shop just might top it! The other day he told me they have subs next door. My husband brought me the Italian, I was hooked. Today we actually went in and dined in. I got my sandwich and he got his pizza, we both got what we wanted all in one spot. The grocer has so many items and is way bigger than it looks on the outside. New favorite place!”

4934 S Kedzie Ave, Chicago“Good prices and good products both in vegetables and in the basic basket, although they are not well-known brands, they also sell Mexican tortillas (el Milagro). Ample parking and good hours, as well as good service from the staff.”
“Overall Thoughts: Carnicerias Guanajuato is a nice Mexican grocery store in the Wicker area with a little restaurant tucked in the back. It carries a solid range of Mexican staples, brands, snacks, and ingredients, and the staff are really kind and friendly. The restaurant is counter-serve with a well-sized seating area, and had a wide variety of meat options, from ox tongue tacos to beef jerky tortas to chorizo burritos. (However, the vegetarian options were a bit lacking in creativity / depth). By the time I went at ~6:30pm though, they were out of both ox tongue and beef jerky, so I’ll have to go earlier next time to try those. The prices are reasonable and affordable in both the restaurant and store, and you can use either cash or card.Food I tried:- Lomo Encebollado Torta (4/5): The torta bread was a little stale / not super fresh, but the meat was good and flavorful. Especially for the price (<$8), it was a very solid meal.—Price (relative to peers): 4.6/5Ambience: 4.4/5Service: 4.8/5Overall Value: 4.4/5”
“Some of the best tacos I’ve had. Stuffed to the max and cooked perfect. Tortillas were soft and hot, not to chewy and not falling apart. I tried asada, carnitas , and al pastor and all the were delicious.”
“Pretty average as far as Aldi's go. Clean, good pricing, good variety of food. Parking is almost never entirely full, though there is almost always only one lane open when I go, but the line is never too atrocious.”
“It is a very clean store. The workers are excellent and knowledgeable and I spent a lot of money and got way more for my money. I will be going back. I LOVE this store”

2333 W Madison St, Chicago“Very broad range of items and easy to find different nationality's customary foods (typically per aisle) and the staff is very friendly and readily willing to help one find whatever they need in a quick, positive, painless manner. If you ask, the baggers may even bring your heavy items or bags to your vehicle for you (time permitting w/permission)! [Relevant for disabled or elderly shoppers]”

5629 W Fillmore St, Chicago“Good amount of fresh food ???? on the shelves.Usual Aldi set up inside. Two cash ? registers and only one was operating. No self check outs.Good size parking lot. Entrance is tricky and so is exit.”
9AM - 8PM
7345 S State St, Chicago“This is my second time shopping there and the service is the same good. The store is neat, clean, and organized. The only thing I don't like is I have to pay for shopping bags. But, other than that this is my go to place for groceries.”
8:30AM - 8PM
5501 S Harlem Ave, Chicago“Decent location. The self-checkout was awesome and made getting in and out a breeze instead of having to wait in long lines. First time seeing that, and I like it.”
“Cermak was my first choice for many years for all my groceries but unfortunately, it’s not what it’s used to be. The produce quality keeps getting lower while I keep getting less for the price. They store greens on piles of ice which just ruins them. Other produce, especially avocados, just goes bad in a matter of days and generally lacks flavor. If i feel like dropping that much cash, I’d just go to whole foods and get much better quality for those price tags.Otherwise, it’s a clean and organized store with great staff.”
8:30AM - 9PM
1753 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago“ALDI prices are so LOVABLE and POOR FRIENDLY because they have good prices its low and poor people can atleast buy. The only thing i dislike is outside ENVIRONMENT have lots of garbage as if nobody is cleaning up the area. I hope theyl put homeless people to have work HELPING HOMELESS PEOPLE HAVE WORK”
“County Fair is great for their quality meats, homemade dips, a good selection of baked items, and quality produce. The customer service is usually excellent as well.”
“Great resource for hard to find snacks or basic Asian culinary staples. If you are a newbie and seeking to experiment... take a moment to make a list -- and include both Vietnamese and Chinese names for items such as herbs or veggies. Don't forget the seaweed-wrapped pretzels or the easy to prepare frozen dumplings. Also -- Ponzu is as little as 1/3 the cost of Whole Foods.”
“We enjoy shopping at the Archer store and have so for many years. The smoked kielbasa is really good quality and priced pretty well considering our inflationary conditions throughout our economy. What happened to the fresh kielbasa. Going from a range of 99 cents to $1.99 about 3 years ago to $3.99 is one thing. The quality was always really good. Not anymore. No flavor except for salt. Very little black pepper or garlic. Anyone can make a bad batch but we have it four shots and the quality and taste aren't there. Quality meaning even the sausage consistency isn't there. The in store pierogi, kapusta, potato pancakes and sops are still 5 star. Please review what's happened to the fresh Polish Sausage. Cleanliness and produce still very good.”

2828 N Central Ave, Chicago“Great prices! Had what I wanted. Great customer service as well! Shout out to the security guard who went over and beyond her job helping me on Friday morning!”
8:30AM - 9PM
201 W Division St, Chicago“I come to this location on a regular basis and it's become my preferred Aldi since it opened. Overall satisfied, but what is with the one shelf stocking employee that loves to excessively honk a horn as he wheels stock around, even when no customers are in his way? I often hear him beeping at essentially nobody all over an otherwise very quiet store.”
“Absolutely love the Valley Of Jordan! The chicken shawarma is the best in the neighborhood, if not the entire city. The grocery selection is very unique, with new and delicious options every week. The staff are so hospitable, kind, and very fun to talk to. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick and affordable meal, or just stopping by a few groceries. شكرا جزيلا!!”
9AM - 8PM
2333 E 95th St, Chicago“Great prices for everyday and specialty items. The ability to buy 1 bottle of cold water was a plus, as most places these days only offer chilled carbonated sugar water or energy drinks with questionable ingredients.”
“One of the best mexican restaurants around!!! Hands down the quesdadillas have to be the best I've ever eaten!!! Their tortillas are hand made and they are.. amazing! And then to top it off, the all of the employees are super nice and very attentive! Would definitely recommend!”
