Very poor customer service. No empathy, and won't talk me through processes. Took 4 calls (last 2 were angry calls) to get Allison to call me back. Then she was not nice. They are more about their bottom line than servicing customers.

Never work with West Bend. They were not helpful in any way. When, after many loyal years, we needed their help, they were unprofessional, unfair, and disorganized.

Avoid them like the plague. They didn't honor our insurance for a mistake that was made on both sides, and refused to cover a law suit against us, then they dropped us. They totally didn't have our back.

I was in an accident where I turned left and the insured tried to pass me and tbones me. West bend said I am 50% liable for this accident when I couldn't see it coming and couldn't prevent it. It was on a single lane road where you were not supposed to pass anyone. West bend insurance and schemers and fraudsters that will do whatever they can to deny your claim.
Update- They asked me to email them and explain my situation. So I went ahead and emailed them and never got a response. What a joke!

After a major hail storm came through our neighborhood and damaged every house, west bend refused to let us use and pay the local company of our choice that every other house on the block was using. West bend chose a company 45 minutes away and when we finally got our roof replaced, the next wind storm we had two months later, half of our roof blew off while our neighbors were all fine. Our siding was also damaged in this storm and they are refusing to pay the company they chose the amount it costs to replace our siding properly. Leaving an out of pocket cost of over 7k for us. This was over a year and a half ago and our siding still isn’t replaced because west bend won’t answer calls and says they refuse to discuss this claim any further. Absolute worst company. Zero stars.

I had to have my roof replaced. West Bend's support staff and claim rep, Justin Johnson, made the experience very easy and pleasant. I have been with West Bend for over 14 years and I've never had a problem with them or claims. I also have them for my vehicles.

They use to be a good company but they jacked our home owners rate 89.5% in one year. And our car 29.5% and we haven't had any claims and only drive about 2000 miles per car per year. We went with Auto Owners for our insurance needs. We now pay what we were two years ago.

40 Call attempts to Charlie. No response or pickup. Absolute worst Insurance Claim experience in existence.

Unfortunately we had to use our insurance. We had a tree go through our camper (act of god), 6 months later we had a hail storm cause damage (act of god), and two years later my husband hit a pole in a parking lot (our fault). Decades with this company and the cancelled our policy. They then had the audacity to charge us for an extra month. I guess insurance is unusable. Who knew! Ridiculous

I just recently cancelled them for the second time for my business insurance needs. This company is awful. Constantly auditing and overcharging and threatening collections and legal action if you don’t pay the audited premiums. We were on auto pay and they pretty much used my account like a piggy bank every time they felt they needed more money. I will never work with them again. I would pay another company double before giving them any of my business

If I could give 0 stars I would. Landscaping company shot a rock and damaged our vehicle. The Landscaping company is insured by this terrible company and they spent weeks on a very clear cut case. I called Tricia B. Several times and left voicemails (during business hours) only to receive no call back. I received and email days later expressing they were still investigating.. saying no one from the company recalls shooting anything. Loud machines while wearing headphones and they want to take the employees word (who have motive to not admit for fear of punishment.) The vehicle was backed into a spot with only grass near the vehicle.. back window gets broke on suv.. on perfectly sunny day, right when the lawn mower goes by.. it's cut an dry. The manager Jennifer was just as terrible stating they had to do their do diligence. Hmm like calling a customer back thats left voicemails maybe? No.
Weeks of waiting for resolution on a simple case. Classic terrible insurance company.. collecting their money monthly but fighting and battling to not pay out a dime!
Wouldn't recommend West Bend to my worst enemy. They should all be ashamed.
Edit; They replied asking me to reach out. But they didn't even reply. It's just the trying to act like they care and will help but again no follow thru!

Don't be fooled by the so-called 5-star reviews. I would rate this company with a 0 if that were an option. After a storm caused some of our siding to fall off and get damaged, public adjusters inspecting homes in our neighborhood advised us to file a claim, assuring us they would work with us to replace the siding.
In good faith, we filed the claim with West Bend and arranged for an inspection on a day we would be available, but the appointment was unexpectedly canceled. When the inspection was rescheduled, we were unable to be present. The claims adjuster, Patrick from West Bend, was extremely rude to the public adjuster and made it clear they would not be covering the damage even before examining our home.
A few weeks later, we received conflicting information and a letter stating they would not cover the damages based on distorted Google Maps images from 2019. They recommended we reuse the damaged siding and cover the cost with our deductible, claiming the repairs would fall within that amount.
I am in the process of sending CEO Rob Jacques an email in hopes that he will address this issue and improve the company's service. Meanwhile, I am switching home insurance providers and would not recommend West Bend to anyone seeking home insurance.
(See picture) I was still staying hopeful. Even when I emailed as requested.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this company is terrible. Unethical business practices and price gouging like I’ve never seen before. Business owners STAY AWAY.
