I own a 1985 Mitsubishi Tractor. The starter went out and there was nothing like it available on the www. So, I brought it to my local starter / alternator rebuilder for overhaul. They told me it was obsolete, so they sold me a replacement starter for $350. I took it home and tried to install it, but the bolt hole pattern didn't even match! Huh? Then they told me they could rebuild mine for $800; huh? No thank you. Back to my www research, I found a rebuilder in Texas who flat-out told me that this starter is obsolete and there are no rebuild parts available; thank you for your honesty. One last attempt before I bought a whole new tractor was Kaestner Auto Electric in WI. I called them and I was told that there is a 95% chance that they could rebuild my starter. I shipped it to them UPS ground from CA, and two weeks + $279 later, my tractor is back up and running. These guys are outstanding. I had hours of research tied up in this thing before I found Kaestner Auto Electric, and the whole process with them was simple. I also note that it was returned to me with all new nuts, washers and insulators, and the starter body was repainted. It now works as good as it looks, and I will definitely use Kaestner for all my rebuilds from now on. Thank you Kaestner Auto Electric.

I bought a new starter motor in July for $200 and gave my old started plus a second as cores. Shortly after the Solenoid would not disengage and the motor and burnt out. I took it out of the car (an '80 911) and returned it to Kaestner. I was told it had to go back to the manufacturer. No word, and several calls. TODAY 11/7/2023, I returned with the reciept for $200 and I WAS MADE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $1.54 taxTO GET MY CASH $200 BACK AND NOTHING FOR TWO CORES (usually worth $50 per). Very shabby treatment by management. Same starter without a core was $150.00 at AUTOZONE.Service: Electrical

It's refreshing to know that mom and pop businesses are still around. Kaestner Auto Electric is just that, family oriented, professional, honest and worth the visit. These guys saved me over $300 on a car door lock by finding out all of my doors have a factory recall in place. Instead of taking advantage of me they looked out for me, and i truly appreciated it. Give them a call, you won't regret it!Services: General repairs & maintenance

This place is unbelievable in a great way! They have always been so super friendly, which is all fine and dandy. But they are damn good at what they do! I own AAA Asphalt LLC out of Muskego Wisconsin. I have been coming here for years. They helped me one time with the starter on my Asphalt Paver. I had a crew of guys and Asphalt on the job and the starter stopped working. It was after 4 PM in the afternoon. I was about 2 miles from their location in Waukesha. I brought the starter over it, they rebuilt it at a very very reasonable price on the spot I went back started my paver and finished the job! Wow that was back in about 2015. Now today April 12, 2023 I brought in an old electric fan motor off that same paver for the fan for the cooling of the hydraulics. They are rebuilding it and seemed very very knowledgeable about what they’re doing here.I totally appreciate this company, and so will youPS. I honestly have no ownership of this company or I’m not affiliated in anyway- family friends or??I just really believe in giving Google reviews like this when people deserve it! This is old school service the way I have been doing it for years and years.Thank you again!Services: Electrical
