Very thorough, professional, knowledgeable and pleasant expert in vintage electronics. Went through my Kenwood KR4400, fixed a few things, brought it back into spec. Sounds great now! Work was completed quickly and at a very reasonable price. I’ll definitely go back to him for my future needs!

My Onkyo TX-2500 Mkii was having issues with the right channel. Brought it to the audio shop and the issued was identified right away. I also took the opportunity to have the unit serviced overall and it's like new. Panel lights were updated and there was some cleaning and alignment work done. Best of all, it was aol done at a reasonable price. Great service, thank you!!!

Found a Teac 3300S reel to reel being given away on EBay and snapped it up. After some internet research found The Audio Shop. Spoke with Ron and he said it needed at minimum a good cleaning. Dropped it off and while it took a bit of time to complete the cleaning and repair anything that was found during the inspection I am completely satisfied with my experience with Ron's work. Come on people the man is working on and restoring items from the 1970's and doing a hell of a job getting it right.

My wonderful Marantz 2265B lost it's left stereo channel, I think do to the tone mode switch giving out. I had no idea where I could get it repaired by a trusted repair shop. I shop at Chesters Electronics but they don't do repairs. With their excellent reputation they recommended The Audio Shop. Ron diagnosed that the switch relay contacts were corroded. The pots needed cleaning to. Ron cleaned it all up, replaced some weak caps, burned out lamps and tuned it up. He is the expert in high end audio repair.

The shop is an old school repair shop in Racine ,Wisconsin. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. My 50 year old quad 4 channel receiver was repaired and sounds better than ever! I would highly recommend this shop . It is better to fix your old school gear than to throw it away.

I have brought in my 2235B, A project one mark 400 to get fully restored and even some “upgrades” and some Advent Bullnoses to get restored and I can say Ron does amazing work and impressed me with his knowledge and experience with everything I bring to him, if you need your stereo or speakers repaired Ron is the most well knowledgeable and equipped person to do the job, I trust and appreciate all of Ron’s work that he does!

Had Ron work on a couple of Vintage Panasonic stereos for me (radio/turntable/8 track player) from the 1970's and both work now as they did brand new; He is a whiz, gets things done quick & is fair on pricing; would recommend him to anyone/everyone.

I talk to Ron drom time ti time, and all my Fisher tube amps he repaired are spot on after 2 years after fix. I see some cheap stuff come thru the doors, and say buy a new one to myself, as his skills and smarts are truly in the top equipment and tube and vintage solid state, not some sears 30 buck turntable?? Some people complain, but running a stereo shop is very difficult, and this man is on top of it. If you actually get to know him, and listen to the things he knows, trust me, the man knows his craft. My gear, its to me very close. To trust Ron, he is that good. Just maybe keep the cheap stuff away, and just go buy a new one. The man is just to good to work on junk.

He had the stereo for 7 months. Promises every other week. I formed him Monday I wanted it back after being told 2xs in 2 week period he'd get it done. He told me Monday I'll get it put together tomorrow for you and call nothing... today I go there He can't my screws and or some parts. 1600.00 stereo. Calling bbb and filing lawsuit. Pick your gear up before its destroyed.

I took a vintage receiver and a amplifier in for repairs. Ron had the repairs complete in a few days. Upon picking them up I dropped off a cassette deck and another receiver. Look forward to have more of my equipment checked out. Highly recommended.

So far I've had a great experience with the presumed owner operator of Audio Shop! He's a really nice guy and seems to know his way around a turn table. I am still yet to stop in and retrieve my Emerson he repaired for me but he gave me a good price and responded to me with an update on the repairs with 48 hours. I'll update further once I've stopped in to retrieve my turntable from him.
