I’m thrilled with the painting of a family heirloom frame that was done by Brady. It looks great! Bill’s customer service was awesome too! Thank you!

Beware - a very dear friend of mine stopped in to browse the gallery and was repeatedly, groped and experienced many unwelcome advances by the older male staff member. He was very uncomfortable and confided in me about this terrible ordeal that left him never wanting to return. While he loved the painting, he did not at anytime feel safe at The Hang Up Gallery. He admitted that he was touched inappropriately at least two dozen times and politely asked the staff member to refrain from touching him each and every time. Being the determined, brave, fine young man that he is, he still chose to carry through with patronizing the artist and purchasing a fine piece of artwork yesterday, but he stated will not return until that male staff member is no longer employed by Bill Casper. This is a travesty. People should feel safe and welcome and unfortunately my wonderful friend did not. He is not pressing charges against the employee, who is apparently a felon for violating repeat restraining orders. Perhaps the owner should conduct background checks on future employees to avoid the major liability that is a current employee of Bill Casper. Perhaps the owner should reach out to the customer with an apology and better yet, as a courtesy, find a new employee to replace said staff member.

I brought in my own artwork and they put it up for two weeks after two months of not even putting it up, apparently, and took it down "because of the frame". The portrait didn't fill the whole frame but was still very evenly placed in glass. This was essentially, a nitpick. They also have a whole binder of portraits that are beautiful, just sitting in the corner not being displayed properly. Sorry, but if you are a small local artist, this is not a great place. I also notice that the art there is becoming more sanitized and boring, and less diverse.

First time here. Quite a range of good art works that are for sale, and a nice range in prices. Worth the stop.

My 120 year old family heirloom portrait was taken in and delivered to Mr. Bill Casper, owner of The Hang Up Galley for some minor restoration. For eight months, and after numerous inquiries, I kept being advised of reasons that were supposedly inhibiting completion of the work. However, all the while was assured by Mr. Casper on several occasions, that the portrait was a work in progress. Having given this project more than enough time and after the delays and excuses continued, I simply wanted the heirloom portrait returned to our family. I recently called Mr. Casper and requested to pick-up the portrait, and he advised me that he cannot locate this irreplaceable family item. He further stated that, “he and his staff will continue searching and I should be patient”. I believe I have waited long enough. I feel completely misled by Mr. Casper and now, both myself and my family, fear that this treasured family heirloom is lost forever. We trusted Mr. Casper with an item that meant a great deal to our family and have been left with an empty frame. Negligence and incompetence in such a business is bad enough, however being misled many times over on an item that means so much to our family, is a matter of trust and integrity.

Last Fall, a 120 year old family heirloom portrait was taken in and delivered to Mr. Bill Casper, owner of The Hang Up Galley in Neenah, WI for some minor restoration and a photographic image to be taken. For eight months, and after numerous inquiries, I kept being advised of reasons that were supposedly inhibiting completion of the work. However, on numerous occasions was assured by Mr. Casper that the portrait was indeed a work in progress. Having given this project more than enough time and after the delays and excuses continued, I simply wanted the heirloom portrait returned to our family. I recently called Mr. Casper and requested to pick-up the portrait, and he advised me that he cannot locate this irreplaceable family item. He further stated that, "he and his staff will continue searching and I should be patient". Upon further discussion with Mr. Casper, he could offer no explanation as to the chain of custody, unclear if the portrait left his warehouse, was taken to his retail store or even it was delivered to his photographer. I believe I have waited long enough for closure on this situation and now feel completely misled by Mr. Casper, with both myself and my family fearing that this treasured family heirloom is lost forever as a result of his carelessness. To think that an art gallery could lost a piece of art, let alone an item that is irreplaceable to a family, is very hard to comprehend. We trusted Mr. Casper with an item that meant a great deal to so many family members given that the portrait originated in Italy at the turn of the last century and now all we have been left with is an empty frame. Negligence and incompetence in such a business is bad enough, however being misled many times over on an item that means so much to our family, is a matter of trust and integrity.

Great place to find what waters your taste buds in art! The owner (Bill) is a wonderful, caring, talented and artistic person that will do what it takes to make his customers keep coming back time after time.

Worked with framer who gave me some great ideas but said she could not give me estimate since that was done by the owner. She told me to leave painting at store and someone would get back to me by end of the day with an estimate. Almost two weeks later no estimate so I took painting another place.

We brought in a painting and chose a frame. We were told we would be called later that day with an estimate. Two days later, I left a message asking to be called with an estimate. No call back. After two more days, we went back to pick up our painting. There was no apology, no comment, nothing. They obviously do not need business. I support local businesses whenever possible, but this business is disorganized.

The framer I worked with was very patient and provided great advice. However, the owner never got back to me with an estimate on the cost for framing after a week my painting was at his shop. Five stars for the framer but honestly ZERO stars for failing to get back with an estimate.
