I've been meaning to check out NO Studios for a long time- whether via their music series, community speakers and events, their Saki tasting events; NO has a lot going on! Founded by film director/writer/producer John Ridley, NO has a strong connection to film. I had the pleasure of seeing a film screening here in May 2022! My barber made a short film! The screening room is incredible- with two tiers of comfy seats, more films, please! NO is stylish, and there's a full bar with affordable drink prices and friendly staff. This place has a very locally supportive mission, and I picked up some locally design NO swag for my niece's birthday. I can't wait for my next visit to NO, and definitely considering that membership option!

I attended a Yelp Elite event at no studios in 2022 and was in awe of the place, especially the rooftop bar. Their bar menu has a bunch of different types of sake to choose from. I went to this event as a Sake-tolerator and came out as a changed woman. As a part of the event, we were given complimentary sake flights which allowed me to give the different options a shot. The 'Hou Hou Shu Blue Clouds' sake was my top pick of the evening. It was creamy and sweet, and left me wanting more!!! I highly recommend everyone tries it out!

A great vibe in this setting! The sake bar is so amazing I can't wait to return to try the cafe. I loved the cushy recliners in the screening room, it took movie viewing to a whole new level. Special shout out to the security guard, he was super-friendly and a great welcome to the space.

I would like to thank Yelp for hosting an event here! Nō Studios is beautiful!! A true gem. There's a rooftop bar and patio on the fourth floor. It's great to look at the Milwaukee skyline while you sip on some sake flights. When you walk inside you're instantly hit with the modern architecture and lighting. However, as you proceed towards the bar on the first floor you get the rustic architecture of the brickwork that lines that entire wall of the building. I think this provides a beautiful contrast between old and modern Milwaukee. The screening room is downstairs on the first floor as well. The chairs are adequately spaced apart and are extremely comfortable. They provide great back support and are semi firm. The seating isn't so soft where are you sinking and then you have to ask for an assist to get pulled up out of the seat. Onto the Sake itself, we were given three bottles to try. The first was a traditional sake. It had a very bold flavor and a bit of a sour note at the end. The second sake was plum flavored. This was my personal favorite - I am a huge fan of sweet drinks. The third sake was a bubbly sake. This would be my second favorite overall. And it climbs into second place because it's a nice mix and it's almost reminiscent of champagne. Goes down very easy doesn't punch you at the end of the sip.

How did I not know this place existed?! THANK YOU YELP ELITE (aka Jessica)! Rooftop bar vibes and sake flights? Yes, please. Everyone who works here has the chillest of vibes. I'm only going to say this once...LIVE MUSIC AT 1pm on Fridays in the lounge AND they make lavender matcha lattes. I lied. I'm saying it again for the people on the back. LAVENDER MATCHA LATTES Their movie viewing room is a dream. Comfy chairs, a private viewing of the Nö founder and producer's movie - a Needle in a Timestack. It's black mirror meets romantic science fiction - such a great film and a phenomenal community. In case you didn't Nö (see what I did there) Nö Studios derives from the word play between a rejection artists are so often told, with, no ft, the Sino-Japanese root word for "skill" or "talent". Thank you Milwaukee native, John Ridley, for creating this collaborative workspace, hybrid experience platform, and social community performance stage, café bar, gallery, and rooftop lounge and deck. I met some wonderful people, already bought a "socialize with purpose" crew neck, and I will be back.

An absolute hidden gem! I recently got a chance to check out No studios for the first time for Cullah 's birthday album release and ABSOLUTELY LOVED the venue! They have a great bar with yummy cocktails and a good selection of baked goodies. The venue is great place for an intimate gathering of people and I enjoyed the ambience very much. They also have a rooftop cocktail bar that I cannot wait to check out. They have a great view of Milwaukee's city scape from there.

No Studios is a fantastic place to meet and collaborate with other Milwaukee creatives. The events they host are an interesting mix of various art forms. Their screening room is gorgeous and the seats couldn't be comfier. If you are a local creative, consider joining or renting office space. You won't be disappointed... especially once the rooftop bar opens this spring. (Don't worry, the lower level one is already in operation so you can still have a social drink or two while collaborating.)

This place is fairly new and still under minor construction. Don't worry it is still open during construction. This building houses business offices for entrepreneurs who are in the performing arts business. The lower level of the building has a theater room that seats 50 (rough guesstimate). They are currently screening free movies by local filmmakers. I'm not sure of the schedule of the movies but I believe you can find it on their website. There is a bar lounge that currently only accepts debit / credit cards (they do not accept cash). Also there is a large open lounge area that has been used for art shows, Meet and Greets of local book authors, networking and various business events. On floors 2 & 3 you will find the business offices. This Summer (weather permitting) the rooftop bar/lounge will open. This will make a great place for nice view of the downtown area and cocktails on a nice summer day. It is very hip and trendy and the rehab of the building is tastefully done. I love the old brick in the building. It screams Old Milwaukee. If you are interested in any of the artwork on the walls most of them are by local artist and are for sale. Go and enjoy this place for any event they have to offer you will enjoy it.
