Its downtown, Close to alot of things, Rooms are a bit dated, Bed is comfy though but TV most channels dont work. If youre just looking for a bed this is a good hotel. Also has some restaurant and shops inside.

Dated as can be. Expensive as it gets. Got stuck in the elevators. They are scary.

The hotel itself is in a great location. Despite its size, I thought it was very easy to navigate.
There are plenty of food options within the hotel including two restaurants, and a Starbucks! The miller time place was great for watching sports, and grabbing food (the tomato soup was pretty weird though). I was told the breakfast buffet is $25.
The lobby area is quite beautiful, complete with two dogs for your petting pleasure. There is self parking, in a garage, which wasn’t too bad. Obviously it wasn’t cheap, but it was easy to get in and out with your room key.
Ok now the bad in my opinion. The rooms are large but they seem oddly arranged. The tv is obnoxiously far from the bed, and there is no channel guide available.
The air condition is essentially useless. I had it on 60, and the coldest my room got was 68. (That’s with the blinds closed to block the sun out). Thankfully one of the windows opened a few inches which I think helped more than the air conditioning. I did call the desk to ask about it and she said “it’s probably not working because it’s cold out.” lol ok.
Anyway, it wasn’t a horrible place to stay but I’d probably look elsewhere next time.
Walkability: Plenty within walking distance!

Came into my room it was a sweltering 79° at 4 o’clock. Set it to 68, came back five hours later it was 73°. Keep in mind it’s 64° outside right now. Called the front desk, they said to call again in the morning.

The hotel is gorgeous, especially the lobby and other common areas. The historic art deco design feels very classy and high-end, but sadly this does not translate very well to the guest rooms.
I'm a corporate traveler with Diamond status because I stay in a Hilton property 40-45 weeks a year. I booked a 'king deluxe' for a short two night trip, and I was happy to see a complimentary upgrade to a 'king superior' room before I arrived. I have a significant allergy to feathers, so I always request a feather-free room at booking. The hotel accommodated this request, and all seemed perfect until I got to the room.
The room décor was also very nice, but the most notable thing was the blast of cold air I felt when I entered the room. So I punched up the number on the thermostat from 65 to 72, got settled in, and sat down to do some work. Over an hour later, the temp had not moved. I put on my coat and gloves and called the front desk for service. They sent maintenance up right away, and after working on the unit for a few minutes, he said all was good to go. Except another hour passed and the temp had only moved up to 67. I was freezing, so I called the desk again and asked for another room.
A few minutes later, I am informed that the only feather-free rooms available are doubles. That's a significant downgrade, so the alternative was for maintenance to bring me a couple of space heaters. Great, fine, it's a short stay and moving rooms is a hassle anyway. Maintenance brings me the tiniest space heater on the market. I can only have one, though, because the wiring in the room is old and there is only one circuit, and using two would likely knock out the power in the room completely. Holy fire hazard, Batman.
In the end, the room never got above 70 degrees, and I had to make use of the blanket in the closet that was meant for the sofa bed. While 70 degrees might be the perfect temp for some people, it was not comfortable for me, especially since the outside temps were in the 40s and 50s and I live in Atlanta.
The rooms also do not have microwaves or refrigerators, which would be an issue for me if I had a longer stay. Finally, the tech in the room is outdated. The TV lacked any smart features and the remote didn't work very well.
While I understand maintaining the historic ambiance, the hotel really needs to invest in updating the heat and air. After reading through the reviews here, I can see it's a very common theme, so I know it's not isolated to the specific room or floor.
And after this whole ordeal, the only thing I was offered was a downgrade. Yikes.
Rooms: No microwave or refrigerator in the room. Barely functional heat/air unit. Bathroom is small but does the job.

Such a beautiful building , but unfortunately not well updated. Service was slow, took me about 30 min to check in. Rooms are big, but again just not well updated. Having nice lotion or robes would be much appreciated

The lower level and lobby floors are truly beautiful. This hotel has a very convenient location, as we were able to enjoy Milwaukee for a few days without renting a car. We were able to mostly walk to a lot of different locations in the city. That said, the rooms left some things to be desired. The room was a little warmer than we’d prefer (it stayed around 72-74 degrees) despite multiple attempts to make adjustments on the thermostat. Additionally, the room we stayed in (the standard king room) had no fridge. This seems like it wouldn’t be a big deal, but it did put quite a damper on things when we were unable to bring any food back to the room with us other than non perishable items for the duration of our stay. Another small thing, the hotel did not have a cork screw for guests to use. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that did not have cork screws available for guest use. I will say that the guest services team was top notch during our stay. One night during our stay we needed new bedding quite late at night and the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They swiftly took care of us with great customer service!
Nearby activities: The Mitchell Park Domes are a must-see!
Noteworthy details: No fridge in the rooms

The hotel was good, well-located, with a comfortable bed and nice restaurants on-site. However, the staff didn’t know the Hilton Honors tiers benefits very well. Everything else was fine.

Stayed in town recently on a business trip for a conference.
This Hilton is clearly catering towards more of a business crowd due to the proximity and skywalk to the Baird conference center .
Location is not in the ideal part of town , but again it works for business and fairly close to the basketball arena
Rooms are okay and bathroom very standard for what it offers .
Parking is available and can be a good deal as the staff in the check in area were very helpful to point out the price and scan my ticket for entry and exit . Parking is adjacent to the hotel which worked great !
Bar is located on the main Level but did seem to be a bit slow and understaffed as the service and preparation was slow , even though there was almost no one there .
There is a Starbucks on the ground floor that was a nice addition to have as well as a steak house restaurant “Chophouse” which I will write a separate review as it was excellent
The only recommendation I would have is the hotel does seem to be in need of a sprucing up and renovation. It did seem a bit “tired”
Otherwise everything else was quite good
