First time booking and I got a call 2.5 hours before my appointment cancelling the appointment with no reason. Services have to be cancelled by the client 72 hours in advanced yet the salon can cancel whenever they want. So frustrating
In response: I did not yell. I voiced my frustration but I was not yelling. I was not given the option to keep appointment, I was only given the option to create a new appointment. I also want told why I the appointment was being cancelled.

I was really looking forward to this manicure, but was very disappointed with the quality of the work. The nail polish was uneven, streaky, had bubbles in some parts, and fuzz stuck to it in others. I have severe social anxiety, and I usually don't make a fuss over things, but I could not justify paying $30 to make my nails look worse than when I walked in. I asked the Nail Tech (who seemed nice enough) if I could be refunded for the service. I still offered to tip her. She sent over what I assume was her manager who insisted that my nails seemed fine, but offered to discount the service or have my nails repainted, because "maybe the nail polish was just old." I felt like she was trying to gaslight me into believing that the manicure I received was acceptable. I was on the verge of tears and could not imagine sitting through another attempt at a manicure that had the potential to go poorly again. I told her I'd really just like a refund, but she insisted that my only options were to have them repainted or to have the service discounted. At this point I started bawling in the salon. The manager acted like I was insane and said I was free to go because she didn't want to upset me further. I just left because I felt humiliated at this point. She still charged me $20. I've had decent experiences here in the past, but today was so horrendous I will not be returning. I'm hesitant to even post this because of the rude replies I've noticed other negative reviews receive, but maybe this will save someone some time, money, or tears.

I called to ask about walk-ins and they were able to get me in within about an hour, which was awesome. The place is so cool— unlike any other salon, as it’s in a vintage home. It’s updated but cozy, and very aesthetically pleasing. Cassie did an amazing job walking me through exactly what I wanted (super layered wolf cut) and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. I will definitely be returning here in the future and am excited to potentially try other services too. Amazing !!

My friend and I decided yesterday we wanted a facial and East Town was the only one who had availability on a Sunday. To preface, I've been getting facials every few months for the last few years, so this wasn't my first facial experience. I've been to East Town in the past; once for nails and the other for hair. Both experiences were average, but gave the facial a try. We both selected the basic one and it was odd. We got steamed for 5 minutes (I counted in my head after a minute went by), while the esthetician just sat there. She could have taken the opportunity to do a hand, arm, foot or leg massage. Maximize your time. Try to build clientele. But instead, she sat there and asked me random questions (I just want to relax and not talk). Then she left to get the LED light, which I don't know why this wasn't prepared. She was gone for literally 8 minutes. How do I know? After the first 30 seconds, I got my phone. I paid for a 60 minute facial, but in reality got a mediocre 47 minute facial. The shoulder and scalp massage were both odd and extractions, unusually painful. My friend said her esthetician advised her of a shoulder massage at the beginning, but was never given any massage. She also had the same experience with a long steam and her esthetician leaving. It wasn't a "bad" facial, just a odd one that I wouldn't recommend. I gave it 3 stars because they had next day availability, but maybe that should have been a warning in hindsight. After 3 mediocre services, I am unlikely to recommend or return.

I am so thrilled with my eye brow tint and eye lash lift . Had no idea what to expect but the quality of work was excellent. I no longer have to put any time with eyebrows and I love the lift of my eye lashes. They now look so long and pretty, don't even really need mascara. Located In an old cream city home that I remembered from my time working at NML. The place has been turned into a relaxing spa. Highly recommend!!

I scheduled a couples massage (with multiple add-ons) for my GF's birthday weeks ahead of time. She requested the day off at work, only for us to get notified that one of the two "service providers" is taking off that day so a couples massage is now unavailable. I am stuck scrambling to come up with new plans last minute.

Cassie did a phenomenal job on transforming my vision of a new haircutstyle into reality. Cassie made sure that my hair because of its natural curl was even on both sides which in the past stylists I've had were not as thorough. Definitely will be coming back. Have told my family and friends..This is THE SPOT !!

I came in to use a gift certificate and called ahead to make sure I could book online if I was paying with a certificate. The receptionist/staff member who took my call was very helpful and friendly. I booked a 30 min facial with Megan and it was amazing! She was upfront about was included and what could be an ad-on service during the procedure so there were no surprises at checkout. This was the most relaxing facial I've had before. I will definitely be back! Thanks, Megan!

I booked a couples massage a week ago as a treat for myself and spouse for Valentine’s Day and 30 minutes prior to my service i receive a text stating they could only accommodate for only one massage. The owner became argumentative and accused me of not booking a couple massage although i have email confirmation from their booking site. They were less than accommodating. I WILL NEVER return or recommend this place to anyone. You try to support small businesses and get burned. I will stick to Neroli salon and spa. If something like this were to occur they would be more than accommodating . I wasn’t even offered a rebooking, discount just another service i was not interested in. Just sad and pathetic .
