we stayed at this Location on Saturday May 25th. I wanted to start off with start was nice when checking in. But sadly our Experience goes extremely downhill from there. We get to the room. I understand the room's not going to be spotless, but this room was hotel clean looked like someone had maybe just made the bed fast and ran a vacuum. We asked for early Check-in so I let a little bit go. Fast forward to this morning at breakfast. We go down at 745 and there are 2 omelets left in the warmer. No bacon, no other hot foods. The staff let us know that they are going to get biscuits out for the biscuits and gravy. They get those out. We inform them you're out of forks and You are also out of bacon , eggs. At this point. The lobby is full of people, The employees tell everyone I have to contact my general manager to approve putting out more food and forks. Are you kidding me.... Breakfast is served until 9:30. Why an hour and a 1/2 yet are you gonna go without food? I have never seen so many employees just hanging around on their phones. Also, while everyone in the lobby is asking about food. We pay extra to stay here because it has food included. I specifically always look for staybriges. But if I come back to this area I will not be staying at staybriges.

As a long time customer of Staybridge Suites Madison-East I was severely disappointed in my stay there with my family on May 8, 2024. The entire TV and Cable system was out of service, turning on the jacuzzi and turning it off was out of user control, and required calls to maintenance. The front desk was flustered and made me wait in line for ten minutes to get a simple question about the room key answered. At checkout I could not get a receipt. I paid close to $300 for one night stay.
Noteworthy details: Cable and TV service was completely out of service. The user control of the jacuzzi was out of order. Front desk attitude was poor, clearly overwhelmed.

This place is TIRED and in need of a serious renovation (actually, SERIOUS all caps). Things went wrong with our reservation due to issues with our room and we ended up downgraded. The suite was cringy (paint peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom, carpets stained and just overall kind of disgusting). With everything else booked for the dates, we had no choice but stomach it for the two night stay. Breakfast was such a sad, dried out and limited display we even skipped coffee. The ladies behind the desk were the only thing bright about the experience. If nothing else, they tried and we appreciated it.

The hotel is very run down. They're renovating the third floor right now.
That was our first clue this wasn't going to go very well. The room smelled bad, and had peeling paint, loose tiles in the bathroom and stained and very worn furniture. Bags of garbage in the hallway, that stayed there overnight.
Someone propped open one of the side doors. We would close it, only to find it propped open again. That's a safety concern.
The pool was pretty good. The hot tub nice and warm, but had missing pieces on the steps. We all slept okay. Beds were fairly comfortable. The breakfast was not very good. Eggs, sausage, and potatoes were very bland and cold. Communal yogurt, juice machine broken, no knives out, no cups.
Avoid this place. There are many better options in the area. We won't be back.

Horrible stay. It started when we entered the room and heard the bath tub faucet dripping fast and loud and I noticed that the desk chair had 1/5th of the fake leather worn off the seat. Given that it was 9:10 pm we figured we would just close the door to the bathroom which faced the bed area and deal with the muted sound while trying to get to sleep. It was fine until early morning when trying to get back to sleep.
Breakfast was the worst part. When we arrived the French toast was empty, no eggs, the waffle maker was broken the sausage was about out, and there was not anyone in the kitchen. After a wait of 5 minutes or so I started looking for someone at the front desk, then the administrative offices, then the back hall ways - no one around, After about another 5 minutes a gentleman came to the front desk area. When I asked if someone was available for the kitchen as much of the food was out he said he would call someone down, several minutes later someone arrived and the front desk person came and told me everything would be ready in 8 minutes. Fifteen minutes later French toast arrived & more sausage but no eggs. After waiting several more minutes I went and asked when the eggs would be ready. I was told no eggs today. This was unbelievable as they had sausage, cheese, ham, salsa, and other toppings put out, but no eggs.
This could have been a nice breakfast as the area was well appointed, they had a yogurt bar and nice topping for the eggs if they had any.

Worst experience EVER. Dead mice all over the parking lot. Rooms smell like mildew and are flithy. The excuse we got about the smell in the room and the broken faucet was "our housekeepers don't speak english." They offer things that they don't have available. I will NEVER stay there again. If your looking for a hotel in Madison steer clear of The Staybridge, don't make the same mistake we did.
Rooms: The rooms were dirty and smelled like mildew. Booked a King Suite two months prior to arriving and ended up in double full room with a broken kitchen sink and a room that smelled like mildew.

After seeing the pool I was excited swim with my kids, however the owners have not supplied the requested battery for the pool lift. It is so frustrating when hotels choose not to care about people with disabilities. The battery has been requested but the owners won't approve it? Come on. Do better.Noteworthy details: NOT ACCESSIBLE

The only elevator isn't working. Front desk staff must be used to telling guests to carry their luggage up to the third floor, because there wasn't any sort of apology for the inconvenience. The room keys didn't work properly. Front desk explained that the locks are installed upside down and have to be lifted. The room is okay, but the price charged for such a mediocre hotel is crazy high. Definitely not worth the cost. We will avoid the Staybridge brand and this location.
