I ordered a sheet cake from Metcalfe's for my mom's 90th birthday celebration and it was fantastic. The cake was moist and the frosting to cake ratio was spot on, not too much or too little. The decorating was beautiful. Definitely will order all my cakes from Metcalfe's in the future.

I used to love the sushi here. this stuff is rubbery and bad. But I paid for it so I’m eating it and if I get sick I’m suing!

Super disappointed in a Pecan Tart purchased here. Baker used WAY too much Almond Extract overwhelming that pie and making it completely inedible. I do enjoy (and would recommend) a cold chinese noodle dish sold in their deli which gives them some redemption. Not sure I would make a special trip to Metcalfe's anymore. Sadly, not what it used to be.

Do not shop here - the gentleman who was bagging my order was disrespectful and made comments about my turkey bacon being fake and continued with other comments that were hurtful - I left and won’t return - people shouldn’t feel ashamed about their diet. I refuse to sho here and support this company. I truly just wanna cry - I was taught if you don’t like something you don’t have to eat it but this took it to the level of shaming people

For the size of the deli and bakery they have very little variety. Great if you want a $8 loaf of specialty bread I guess. Not what they used to be.

Tiramisu Cake December 20, 2023 $35Could not have been more disgusting Or overpriced.Entirely frosting made out of shortening, with two thin layers of chocolate cake with no flavor.No whip cream, no mascarpone cream cheese layer, no Espresso or chocolate.Totally unlike any tiramisu I’ve ever had.It ruined a special birthday party.Bakery not recommended!

Staff are so checked out! They never say good morning , good afternoon they ignore you! God forgive you ask where something is your response will be "that's not my department" this is the Metcalfs way! Metcalfs doesn't care about the experience. Today an employee taking a smoke break was right by the front door woman at 1ish on 12/30 so my experience walking into Metcalfs was cigarette smoke I let an employee know they didn't even apologize they said ok so i left my groceries and went to Whole Foods who cares more about customer experience . I have a choice now to walk from my condo to Metcalfs or WholeFoods I will go to Whole Foods at least they say Hi and are willing to help! I am happy to pay more for the experience ! An employee saying I'm sorry that was the experience you had how can I make it better would have been a better response but if your store is not customer focus that was the response should be.

Dianne at Metcalfe’s helped us coordinate all of the florals (and delivery) for our wedding and we had an amazing experience! She was so knowledgeable and helped us pick out what we needed in an easy consultation and well within our budget. We love Metcalfe’s!

I bought a birthday cake for my daughter and it to be delivered to her dorm. The cake never made it. Mettcalfe's promised me a refund and after following up several times, I am still waiting. This happened on March 1.
