What garbage service. I confirmed an appointment two days ago with this place and when I came in at my time, I was essentially stood up. The one person working there gaslit me by saying I never had an appointment and then continued to talk over me when I tried to ask questions. The trashy attitude and fishy booking practices are the reasons I will actively be discouraging my friends from coming here. It’s blatantly unprofessional. I’m glad I didn’t have this train wreck of a company cut my hair.

Way Over charged me for a simple 10 minute hair trim and didn't do what I asked . They cut too much hair off in certain sports and didn't even cut spots in my hair that needed to be cut . Now I have to go back again to get my bangs fixed since they got messed up the first time. Is this how you make extra money? Mess it up the first time so people have to come back and spend more to get it fixed . Sounds ridiculous

Worst experience ever at a salon.Clearly this location is under staffed; the manager who was doing my daughter's haircut was answering phone calls and stopping to talk to walk in customers while she was supposed to be cutting my daughter's hair.When my daughter first sat down in the chair, the manager immediately started criticizing the texture of my daughter's hair and blamed me for not using their special shampoo after she swims. She said that I was essentially pouring bleach in my daughter's hair by letting her swim. I understand that part of their job is to make product recommendations, but the tone, and judgmental attitude was totally unnecessary.My daughter requested a hair cut "like mommy's" (mine is cut between my chin and shoulders and is curly with layers). I said, yes chin length or a little longer is good.The manager then proceeded to belittle my daughter for not sitting still enough (my daughter is newly 5 and was sitting exceptionally still for her ability) and didn't have an ounce of patience with her. Innocent questions my daughter would ask like could she keep the cut hair was met with disgusted scoffing.She ended up chopping my daughter's hair way shorter than requested (it's nose length, not chin length) and didn't even layer it. I asked for her to put layers in and the manager continued to complain that I did ask for that and she wasn't sitting still enough, which is total BS, my daughter was as still as she could be and only tipping her head slightly when the manager would pull on her hair. My daughter was in tears by the end of the session.She should not be offering children's haircuts, as she obviously doesn't have the patience to interact with children. I'm not surprised she's short staffed with the attitude she gave us and the other clients she interacted with while we were there.

I thought Cost Cutters wasn't supposed to take appointments, yet I call right when they open, and they're booked for the day, taking appointments for tomorrow. It should be first come first first serve but thats not the way this Cost Cutters opperates, which makes it impossible for me to get a cut here.

Best place for a haircut in Madison get Sandra to do your hair she is amazing and will leave you satisfied with your service she deserve a raise and more I was amazed with how my hair turn out if highly recommend.Service: Hair coloring

I was able to call and book a kid’s haircut for my 14 month old’s first haircut. Sandra grabbed the appointment last minute and did great. She was patient, empathetic, experienced doing first cuts, and rolled with whatever my son would do. It was a pleasant first experience that I was nervous about.Service: Kids' cuts

Alex, I am not impressed with the services. Went in for a perm and got a partial perm. I have had plenty of perms done and I can tell when someone lacks experience. A hair cut is done first, so you not are paying for the length of the curl. Especially when I asked you to do this first. There should be not patches hair that are left straight as when you walked in...that is why it called a perm.Just because you estimated the time of the service incorrectly doesn't mean you get to skip the hair drying step. Especially when I asked for you to dry my hair. It doesn't matter that it cost more $. You said no because your next appointment was waiting because you didn't know how long it was actually going to take to complete the service.Please pay attention to your potential customers! Most people who want to come here and hope you do a good job...is because they live in the area. They are hoping they can count on you to do your part in that community and provide a exceptional service.Too many complaints on this location and I am so surprised it is still up and running. Do Better.

Wish we there was a less than 1 star option, because this was not the best experience. I choose to go there because I am so sick and tired if dropping $150.00+ on my hair. I went for a trim. Which was okay. But after talking to the hair dresser that cut my hair she suggested someone else for hair color. Since I wanted to come back for hair color. Weird. Why would YOU not want to make the money? But okaaayyyy. Where's the logic? I think they rather just do men's haircuts. They're done within 10 minutes, cause they use a buzzer for everything. Apparently getting more than $5.00 tip is not worth the work. HA! Weeks later I go in for color. All over color with highlights. The job took her over 4 hours! I kid you not!! As she blow dries my hair I could feel my back wet. I asked her to dry my back, I figured some water must of ran down. So she took the dryer to it. I paid and left the salon. Got home and I see brown dye all over my back. Not a spot....my whole shirt had dye, on my back. She got dye on my top all over! And now dried the dye into my shirt. You saw that you spilled it on my back and just dried it. Really? Are you for real? I realize people make mistakes, things happen. I would of appreciated if you just apologized and offered to pay for my shirt. It's not a money thing as it was not a brand name shirt. It probably wasn't even $40, $35 the most. What is wrong with people? And to think her next $15.00 client saw me walk out like that. Where is your sense of professionalism? You are worthless. My top is ruined and I had to throw it out. As you can imagine.... I have talked to 6 of your so called regulars and they no longer go there. Oh and for reference, I was referred to her by the salon manager, because she was so good. LOL!

That girl is working her tail feathers in there!!! I forgot her name. It said Sandra on the receipt so I think that’s it. She was awesome. I was the last haircut of a grueling day and you would think most people would be burned out and done with the day but she was just as chipper and talkative as if it was 10 in the morning after a couple cups of coffee. She was so sweet and gave a great haircut! Needed something walking distance from my house and glad I stumbled upon this one!! Thanks again! I will be back for sure.

I went in on a Saturday to the Maple Grove location to try to get a haircut. Before the door even closed the stylist was barking at me that it waa appoimtment only, no walk ins and I couldn't call either. I understand being short staffed, but I was treated like I was breaking into her house. Ridiculously rude and poor customer service. I won't be going to cost cutters again.
