We took advantage of excused absence and i am glad that it was almost empty. It’s definitely good for young kids but I do not recommend for older. I loved the room size, it was perfect for family of 3. Bathroom was spacious and the whirlpool bathtub was inside. Didn’t get to use kitchen and I remember the sink was kinda nasty. Loved the balcony that I got to see horses. Moving on to entertainment, it was underwhelming bc arcade and bowling area were so small. Also the water park was small as well but it was nice to have all included. Seems like it’s running pretty good and had no problems with anything. Late check out is extra fee if you want to stay longer. Target is not too far if you need anything and fast food options

Great spot to spend a weekend or...a weekday or two. Fun spot for kids of all ages. And plenty of food options in the area. Also, cool stables and small animal petting on the grounds.
Rooms: Relatively good sized and usual amenities.

We had so much fun here. The water park was great. Stuff for the grandkids to enjoy, as well as a nice outdoor pool and hot tub I enjoyed. The best part is there a a couple places to eat in side the hotel, so we didn't have to pack up and go anywhere if we didn't want to. Although, you can't beat Lake Geneva.

We spent 2 nights with my husband, daughter, her friend and her 2-1/2yr old grandson. Perfect place and a little one that loves water. He was scared of the big bucket that drops water, but loved everything else. They even had ADA lifts for my daughter to get in and swim with her son since she just had her left amputated a few months back. The daily activities were wonderful and he enjoyed the Friday night dance party, which he was the only one dancing, the cookie decorating they next day and again he was the only one, and PJ story time. Gogo and Kamara who ran the activities were such a delight and he loved them. They couldn't of done their job any better! Everyone was so pleasant. He also enjoyed the game room and bowling, which is expensive. Also, the ladies at the front desk for check-in and check-out were so very nice. We will be back again!

I have to say, this was a great place for parents with 2 active kids and don't want to leave the premises to do anything! We booked the 2 bedroom loft which was sooo conveninte and clean for us & the kiddos. The walls were literally sound proof you cannot hear your neighbor scream or even laugh, total privacy its unimaginable lol. Waterpark was awesssomme, having the Arcade & separate bowling alley within reach as well!! My God, I dont have anything bad to say about activities on premises. We didnt get to do anything else like go to The Grand Geneva Main Lodge or Horseback riding due to the short stay but my god, for 2 Days all these kids wanted to do is play play play! I can say the only downfall was the on-site dining option. The restaurant food was not at par AT ALL but we had no choice honestly, this is the only downfall at this great resort. It should have outstanding food options but doesnt sadly, and it was expensive too. The Waterpark had a place for fast bites was not bad but not that clean. Other than this, I will definitely be returning.
Rooms: VERY CLEAN! but the toilettes were scratched and outdated. The kitchen too, but it was cleaan! spotless!
Food and drinks: Waterpark food options are available but to me it was not clean like the pizza, pretzels or any fried foods. But the beverage machines worked like a charm and in reach & a wide range of it too.

Nearby activities: Its lake geneva! Seriously! there is a ridingstable next door. Grand geneva reaort neerby too. Dancing horses, a safari, and Tristans magic show. Cruises on the lake. Home of D&D (Gary Gaigax), boat rentals, historic home tours, shopping, eating, and so much more.
Walkability: The whole resort is easy to access by foot. A shuttle does run from the hotel to downtown. So you really do not need to use your car if you dont want to.

The location of this hotel was amazing. We got a two bedroom suite and were excited about the weekend stay and golf. That was the only good part about the stay. The entire family, 4 adults and 2 children (one being a 6 month old baby) came back with bed bug bites all over the body. The rooms are old and in terrible condition for the price one pays. I stayed there the weekend of august 8th and will not be going back.

Where do I begin? The room was filthy and dusty! My son opened the blinds and dust came down like snow. The fake flowers had dust on them (just get rid of those!) And if you’re looking for an excuse to go to the chiropractor, this will be your chance after sleeping in the bed there. The pull out sofa bed still had plastic wrap on it. It’s hard, sinks in and you can feel the bar. The sheets are paper thin, but thankfully we brought pillows and blankets! The room reeked of old, stale smoke. If you tend to tinkle while you shower, I highly recommend you don’t because the water doesn’t drain well at all and hovers around your ankles. We also had MOLD on our shower head. Then after that lovely experience, there’s nothing like drying off with what feels like a Brillo pad towel! The restaurant is crazy expensive and the food was not good at all. The arcade takes average 8-12 credits each time you swipe. The pool ran out of towels, there were about a dozen tubes laying off to the side that were deflated and the lazy river also had algae growing. The front desk wasn’t very friendly and didn’t even tell us to enjoy our stay or ask how our stay was when checking out. Probably because they know better!! Can I rate this place a 0? Because a 1 star is being generous.

The water park was wonderful — the lifeguards were well-trained, everything was clean, and there were plenty of activities. However, our experience at the Moose & Maple restaurant was terrible. The service was extremely slow, there were errors with every order, and overall, it was very disappointing. We decided to take the shuttle to try the Grand Geneva breakfast buffet due to our poor experience at Moose & Maple, but unfortunately, we encountered the same issues there. While the food was great, it took forever to get our drinks, and it took over 30 minutes to receive our check, even after asking three different staff members for assistance.
Another disappointment was the lack of housekeeping during our 5-night stay. Despite specifically requesting a room cleaning, we were told that only fresh linens could be provided. After several days in a room with young children, we needed much more than just fresh linens — the carpet needed vacuuming, and the beds needed to be completely remade. Having to clean and make beds while on vacation was not enjoyable. Additionally, we had to leave our trash in the hallway each day for pickup, but no new trash bags were left to replace the ones we removed.
The front desk also has a policy of not allowing Door Dash orders to be left for guests which was incredibly inconvenient. With the subpar onsite dining options, we relied on Door Dash several times. As someone who travels frequently, I’ve never encountered a hotel that refused to allow food deliveries to be left at the front desk.
We loved visiting Lake Geneva and thoroughly enjoyed the water park, but given the high price and the poor service we received, we wouldn’t stay at Timber Ridge again.

My sister and I decided to take a trip here with our two kids after reading mixed reviews online, we decided to give it a shot! It took us almost 2 hours of travel to arrive. We were very excited. As we were walking up, both trash cans were over flowing with garbage. “Don’t judge a book by its cover” so we looked past it. 4pm check in time. We arrive at 330. Waited in line for almost 40 mins to get our 3 day stay started. Only 2 people working desk. Got room keys, got to room. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and dust was everyone. The shower didn’t drain so we were showering with water up to our ankles. My nephew wanted to take a bath, the tub wouldn’t fully close. We called to switch rooms, they said that was only one open unless we wanted a 2 bedroom suite which was an additional 100$. The indoor water park ran out of clean towels so we all went to room soaked. Tried out breakfast at the place, manager took off pancakes, burnt on outside and still gooey in the middle. We asked for plastic silverware to eat with because everything was absolutely dirty! This was suppose to be a memorable trip for us and it was, outside of this hotel! We found other stuff to do that was an absolute blast!! People work hard to spend money here, shame on you all. Oh, the arcade, don’t waste your time. It smells like canaibas and teenagers walking around half dressed! I highly recommend going anywhere else in Lake Geneva besides this place! Also, the 1.25$ store towels are probably softer than yours. Almost ripped my skin off.
