As much as I loved Jefferson Vet for regular appointments, once it came to a real issue with our puppy, there was little effort to diagnose the cause of her problem. I had brought my now 8 month old golden retriever in when she was 4 months old with chronic eye irritation and weeping. They told me it was just a scratch and would heal in a week or so. Four months and over seven vet visits later, we took her to a different vet that immediately diagnosed and treated her ectopic cilia (eyelash growing on the inside of her eyelid). I had asked the different vets we saw at Jefferson Vet to check for this issue, which they immediately dismissed and told me there was nothing wrong with her eye other than the scratch. It’s hard to be the voice for your pet when your concerns are dismissed. I did really appreciate how quickly they could get her in to be seen, I just wish more was done and considered while treating her.

They have done many good things for the cat ladies in my family. But we have had 3 cats die while in their care for fluid therapy overnight. Mind you all three that were left there for the same thing all died. And as a certified veterinary technician myself fluid therapy isn't that complicated. And when it came to my cat they called the house and let my grandma tell them to put him to sleep before talking to me and letting me get there to be with him. She was not listed on his paperwork as someone who could make decisions for him and i would have literally been there in less than 10 minutes. He was my baby never spent a day apart from me and the first time he did he had to die alone....

They have always taken great care of our pets and were wonderful when our last dog passed. They got her pawprint for us to keep and were so kind.

Dr. Koeppen and the entire staff are very caring, helpful and professional. The front desk staff was great to work with and made sure all of our questions were answered. Dr. Koeppen even called a few days after treating Baylee for an injury to check up on her and provide advice. Jefferson Veterinary Clinic is by far the best vet clinic in the area.
