I was happy to work with Dr. Ron and staff since 2022 as they are wonderfully compassionate and willing to listen to concerns you have, as well as collaborate on the best fit care for your companion animal.
That being said, I had a very awkward exchange recently around seeking vaccinations via the humane society, having just learned of the program and I was trying to bring a rescue to baseline care as quickly and financially responsibly as possible. The conversation became heavily skewed in the direction of "we have a business to run", have "overhead to pay", and how the "humane society benefits from huge donors" and that the humane society used to offer only to low-income families but now they've opened it up to everyone but before you had to provide proof of financials. He went on to say if I chose to go that route, that he'd suggest finding a different primary care provider. At that point I said I'd cancel the appointment with the humane society as I felt embarrassed, ashamed, and guilty, especially since this was so different from the previous collaborative relationship I felt we'd established over the years (and thousands of dollars later). I felt really uncomfortable after leaving the office after having paid twice the price for the same vaccines as I was going to at the humane society. It felt like there were so many assumptions being made as far as whether or not I'm low-income-enough to warrant humane society promoted prices. They may have a business to run, but I'm not a benefactor, I have to make the best decisions for my household and family. I have since switched practices altogether.

I was new to the Milwaukee area and found My Pet's vet on what I call The Night of the Bloody Paw. One of my cats was periodically bleeding from one of her paws, and I couldn't find where.
This is an independent vet business, and I prefer to do business with independents because I feel like my animals get better care. I did call 3 or 4 other independent businesses before My Pet's Vet, but none of them were taking new patients. This place is a little farther away from me but they were independent and had room for new parients, so I emailed over the medical records for this cat and she was seen either that evening or the next. This was 2 years ago, so I've forgotten some of the details.
They found the claw causing this issue, treated it with kindness and care, and we set up appointments for my cats to get their checkups.
I have senior cats with senior cat medical issues and Dr. Beatty and his team have been wonderful at helping my furry friends live out their golden years as happy and healthy as possible.
This business does see all manner of pets beyond dogs and cats: guinea pigs, lizzards, rabbits, etc. I think there is only one exam room, so there are no long waits in a room full of other animals that could be distressing for the next patient. As of this review, they don't take pet insurance.
Other nice things:
They're very responsive to emails. They even do follow-up emails if your pet is sick, on a new medication, or something to see how it's going.
They have their own parking lot.
They have an ADA compliant wheelchair ramp and landing.
This business is in a house which is fitted for a business, so it has a comfortable, relaxing feel to it that both me and my animals enjoy.
My animals see the same vet and techs every time, and they are able to keep up on who they are and what they need.
This business works with other independent businesses if your pet has or would benefit from some medical care not provided here. The same cat from the beginning of this review received an ECG at this location from a traveling specialist.
Closing note: at the start of 2024 I adopted another senior cat. This one has hyperthyroidism and came to me with coccidia. I adopted another senior with needs because I felt I had the vet support I needed with My Pet's Vet. She's doing great now, too. ?

As a new cat owner, there are a lot of things I don't know but when I took my 6 year old cat in, the staff made me feel so welcomed and never made me feel silly for not knowing certain things. Marina has exceptional customer service and makes people feel like they and their pets matter, when a lot of other places do not. Abbie is equally as incredible and makes you and your pet feel so at ease in a setting that is sometimes not so easy. And after only one meeting with Dr. Ron, I know my cat couldn't be in better hands. His eagerness to want to help and sort through your pets' issues are so refreshing, you feel like more than just another number or random cat and her owner. You and the health and wellbeing of your animal (and you) really do matter to them. I'm so happy I have now found my forever vet in My Pet's Vet!

We were fortunate enough to find Dr. Ron in the last year of our dog's life after moving cross-country. Wish we'd had him the previous 13 years! Without question the only vet our skittish dog was okay with. Will be going back when the time is right for another.

My husband and I absolutely love this place!! The staff is exceptional, you never feel rushed, and you are treated like you truly matter. We feel lucky to have found and transferred care to them last year after our previous vet dismissed all of our concerns with dog Kylo’s health.Dr. Ron immediately took all the concerns we had seriously and because of that Kylo is finally able to enjoy being outside without his allergies flaring up and giving him rashes/ear infections. It’s crazy to think back on the three previous Vets we had that told us Kylos allergies were “just something he would have to live with”. Dr. Ron did what none of those could: gave my baby a chance to enjoy life without being constantly itchy. I just wish I lived in this area sooner so he could have been our Vet this entire time!Dr. Ron also surprised us by spending a long time with Kylo to individually biopsy over a dozen lumps he grew under his skin and made extensive notes so we could track them (thankfully they are nothing of concern). We are just so thankful for Dr. Ron and his amazing staff for all that they do in keeping all the animals healthy??Kylo and Nellie love you guys! ?

Dr. Ron is definitely NOT the kind of vet who makes you leave his office thinking “wow vets are just in it for the money.” I was literally ready to throw money at him to figure out why my leopard gecko is pooping weird and he wasnt even gonna push for it. Super nice dude, and although im not too sure what the standard cost for an exotic/reptile vet is in wisconsin, my visit wasnt as expensive as i expected. Money aside, the staff is super friendly and i will definitely recommend this office to anyone who needs a reptile vet.

Dr. Ron loves his career and you can tell in his work! I am so happy I chose him and his assistants to take care of my dogs. Very kind, loving and affectionate towards pets. Him and his assistants have a calming effect that makes going there not a stress or struggle, thank you so much! Please if you are looking for a good place to take pets, please consider this over any. They have sound answers and explanations for pets. They know what they're doing and have sooo much knowledge.
