Amazing place to get married. 10/10 would do it again there. They went above and beyond there and the view is picturesque.

Watched De Coda Youth perform here during the mile of music. Awesome venue, with great people staffing it!

I started working here in April planting vegetables from seed. After transplanting and maintaining I get to see and harvest and clean and pack all of the final products. Lots of hard work goes into the garden here. There is also a mountain bike trail and other paths going through. Cool place!

Riverview Gardens is an outstanding venue for gatherings of all sizes. It is also a source/resource of opportunity and growth for the underserved at risk population to whom they offer employment and job training. So much good!

Worst place ever! I’m not a person that really reviews places but this one in particular! My friends just had their wedding there and they had the worst experience. Let’s just say they made the bride and groom feel like this wasn’t their dream wedding. They basically made the bride and groom feel like they weren’t important. The place and view was nice overall but not worth going through headaches of management. They have the worst, unorganized management there and for such a high price. SO not worth your money!

My husband and I had our reception at Riverview Gardens on the 14th of August. A year ago, we were highly excited to rent this venue due to the beautiful scenery of the river and how well kept and preserved the building looked. We also had a great event coordinator that answered our questions to the best of her knowledge and showed that she wanted to be a part of our wedding planning. However, our event coordinator resigned, and Riverview Gardens assigned us to a different event coordinator. We are disappointed to say that our reception at Riverview Gardens did not go as planned. First and foremost, the corporate did not adjust the temperature for our event in time. My husband and I heard temperature complaints from our family members, videographer, photographer, caters, bartender, and guests. We all had to open the windows in the ballroom to get cool air, but it was still very hot. When the AC kicked on, it started getting cool in the hallways and pub room except for the ballroom with the open windows. We attempted to reach our event coordinator via cellphone several times regarding the lack of AC, but we were unsuccessful. Finally, a family member made contact with her after making multiple phone calls. We were unaware that we would be working with a different event coordinator on our wedding day. Our evening event coordinator did not check in with us if we needed assistance to help us run our event smoothly. The only communication we had was about the lack of AC. She specifically told us that "only corporate controls the temperature," Therefore, she couldn't help us resolve this problem.Several things did not happen according to plan as well. We had to set up the bride and groom table because it was missing. We had to pull a high table from the pub room because there was no table for the cake to be cut and served. The keg of bud light was not readily available at the start of the event. Therefore, the bartender served bottles of beer in the meantime. We were unaware that there is a specific time limit that we needed to be out of the venue. At the end of the night, we felt very rushed with gathering our wedding decorations and supplies. Also, our request to have a somewhat walkway in the ballroom for the wedding party's grand entrance was not granted. We had to figure out the last fifteen minutes of how and where to enter in the room to find our seats. We still enjoyed our evening with our family and guests, but we wished better communication with the Riverview Gardens' event coordinators. We learned that this is not the place for extravagant weddings because we were only allowed to enter and decorate at 10 am and clean up by midnight.Being assigned to several event coordinators made it challenging to communicate and plan our wedding as we would imagine it. We had only discovered that our event coordinators had left Riverview Gardens when another event coordinator reached out via cellphone or email. There was a time we had no contact from Riverview Gardens for one week or more despite our voicemails and emails.I still remember being deeply hurt and upset after speaking to Angie and her assistant regarding our wedding alcohol package. I did not appreciate Angie vocalizing her insensitive comments when I talked about having our guests buy their own sodas and us purchasing only a 1/2 barrel of alcohol. I reiterated to Angie that we had shared with our first event coordinator that we don't place great importance on alcoholic drinks. Angie's tone of voice and lack of empathy over the phone made me feel uncomfortable, belittled, and disheartened. She made me feel like our wedding was just another wedding to Riverview Gardens. It would have made me feel better if she understood what was important to us and help us plan. I was relieved that we didn't talk to her again except our assigned event coordinator.Overall, Riverview Gardens is a beautiful place indoors and outdoors. However, I was mainly not impressed with the lack of AC and unorganized management and staff.

I don't know how this place has 4.4 stars! My friend, the BRIDE, has been dreaming of her wedding day and only pictured it to be perfect! BUT this reception only gave her headaches after headaches. My friend wanted to end her wedding bcuz of them!! They made it so hard on her from day 1 AFTER the deposit!! Their management was poorly executed and my friend's wedding didn't seem important to them! It's either this place got new employees that is so entitled to themselves and has no generosity OR they are being racially biased! My friend is the type that doesn't like to cause trouble, always so gentle and usually doesn't SNAP back at others so they must have seen that in her and took advantage of her. I understand businesses had a hard time during the COVID pandemic but that doesn't mean you can take advantage of someone who just wants their dream wedding. My friend was assigned to multiple different staffs bcuz they kept leaving the job (HMM.. I wonder why?!) One staff even made her cry on the phone when she was only trying to figure her wedding out! ONTOP of that, her mom's been in and out of the hospital so she was stressed! That KAREN staff didnt have to be rude bcuz u never know what others are going thru!! We had to work with KAREN staffs! OH! And their A/C couldn't even work properly or they just didn't turn it on!! The whole building was humid for 3 hours until they finally decided to "fix" it. Wow, thanks! We couldn't even get a hold of em for 3 hours!! Where was their staff while this event was happening? It's like they were purposely ignoring our calls!

THIS IS MY SECOND TIME WRITING THIS REVIEW BECAUSE MY FIRST ONE GOT DELETED, FOR WHAT? BEING HONEST? FOR NOT LYING THAT IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL PLACE? FYI IF YOU ARE ASIAN, BRING YOUR OWN FANS BECAUSE THE EMPLOYEES DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE AIR CONDITIONER ONLY “CORPORATE DOES”. ALSO TELL ME WHY THE PERSON THAT WAS WORKING WITH MY BROTHER SINCE THE BEGINNING QUIT AND THEN THE SECOND PERSON THAT GOT ASSIGNED TO THEM HAD THE DAY “OFF”, HOW CONVENIENT IS THAT? I WILL KEEP WRITING MY REVIEW IF IT GETS DELETED K THANKS BYE.

Beautiful place! But the management made the experience horrible. AC wasn’t set on until an hour or two after we had tried to get a hold of “corporate”, making the guest feel uncomfortably hot. The process of renting itself was difficult due to the fact that different managers had different rules. Disorganized. They were also suppose to have the cake table set out, but nope. We had to improvise. Again, beautiful place, but not worth it working with difficult staff/managers.

I’m not sure why my review was taken down but I just wanted to share my recent experience here AGAIN. This venue is beautiful however the staffing itself and management is poor!! My aunt just recently had her wedding here (August 14)From the very beginning she had complications with certain things regarding the staff. One of the event coordinators even made her cry! I’m not sure why you think it’s acceptable to treat someone like that! But she didn’t want to turn this place down due to that…going back to the venue there was NO AC. No tables were arranged according. Someone quit at her venue. The original event coordinator that was suppose to be there didn’t even show or notify the newly weds. Honestly a lot of things that were minor, that could of been easily prevented if their staff was more organized. Please don’t delete my review. I am being honest..RiverView Garden pls take this into affect and focus on bettering your staff for future venues.. and to anyone wishing to hold any events at this banquet hall ..best of luck. It’s not worth your money.. definitely wasn’t cheap either!

Place was hot and would not allow ac to be turned on. Beautiful view of the fox river though. 1 star for deleting honest reviews.

Attended a wedding and reception. It was a pleasant day and the ceremony was outside. It was a very nice venue. The bar, lounge area and dining room were all quite nice and efficient. The food and service were quite good. The event seemed well organized and well executed. All in all, it was an excellent day.
