Dar lost My Grandmother's Cuckoo Clock, it was handed to me from My uncle who know I adored it,,,I called and spoke with Dar, many times,,,but never returned my clock, He could not Find it, and I have been heartbroken ever since, that was 5 years ago

Stop taking your clocks to him. Under BBB it is listed Closed Business. He can't remember who's clocks is who's. Take parts off people clocks to try to fix other clocks. Give's your clock to other people. When you call, will tell you -- will have it done in a week. He's not sure what clock is yours. He is 80yr old with the start of Dementia. So don't call. Just show up and get what's left of your clocks back. Going to small claims court will not help. You will win, but not get the clock back. Because he doesn't know what clock is yours.

Dar had our clock for a year and half, our clock was not fixed and other components on the movement were damaged. We picked up clock to take it to another clock company, (just clocks in wisconsin rapids). The clock he gave to us was Not our clock.. he had a hard time knowing what clock was our clock. He can probably (clean and transport clock). As for fixing a clock!?! IT WAS A LONG JOURNEY..

Do not give this man your clock. We brought him our family’s special German wall clock for a simple repair. After 1.5 years of hearing nothing but excuses, we decided to give up on it. He gave us the clock back in pieces and he even gave us the wrong clock. We ended up bringing it to a reputable store in Milwaukee-area that had it completely rebuilt and restored in 2 months.

Dar and his grandson came all the way out to Sturgeon Bay (twice!!) to fix a Grandfather clock that no on else would touch. His kindness and dedication to his craft are amazing. We are eternally grateful for his help and kindness ❤️

Although Dar is a very nice man, he is way over his capability of clock repair. I took our wall clock in for a cleaning in May 2022. He kept saying it wasn't done yet. Today 1 year later we had to ask for it back. The hands are missing, our pendulum was missing and a portion of the cabinet was broken.
I'm sure he has the talent to work on clocks, but he is overwhelmed with too many clocks to keep track of.
If you have a family heirloom, do not take it him.

I’m new to this town. I googled it and found this clock repairman and called him and he allowed me to bring the clock over right away. He very carefully explained to me what had to be done and what it would cost and when it will be ready. He also gave me all of the history of the clock and I found out it was built in 1975. Really nice guy and I highly recommend him.

My husband has 40 years in the clock repair business. Today will be the 3rd clock we have repaired the Dar has taken to his house to work on, kept for a year, took parts out, didn't put back together and then have back to the customer having the audacity to then charge them!My husband went to school for watch and clock repair. He has some of the best teachers and mentors for over 30 of his learning years. He can not be sorrier that people are treated this way by an obvious hack. This guy has even kept peoples heirlooms saying he has hundreds of clocks in his basement he simply can't find their clock.I'm not here to advertise or say we are better than anyone else. I'm here to warn anyone who thinks of using this business. Just don't do it!!There are good repair places out there. He is not one.We live in the Wisconsin Rapids area and also do house calls.

Dar helped us move and maintain a Grandmother clock that we were gifted from someone moving over seas. The clock never worked properly for the previous owners, but he got it working in tip top shape. It only took a little over an hour to move and get the clock working. He taught us a ton about the clock, and was very nice to talk to in general. A few weeks after his service he followed up with a call to ensure everything was working properly. I would highly recommend his services.

They came to my house and took all the innards from my grandfather clock and never heard from them. It’s been over a year now. Any time I call, either I get no answer and no call back and the one time I talked to someone, they said they don’t know where my stuff is

I had Dar fix my mom's grandfather clock I inherited. He came out within a day and had to take it back to the shop because some parts were missing. He had it back to me along with another clock I sent to fix in a week! Service was fast and he taught me alot about grandfather clocks. I highly recommend him and I'm glad I didn't have to bring the clock in myself as I knew nothing about how to take it apart (other clock places don't come to the house).
