Located at the confluence of the Kanawha and Ohio rivers in Point Pleasant, WV, Tu-Endie-Wei State Park commemorates the 1774 Battle of Point Pleasant, as well as containing other historical monuments and markers commemorating local Native American history and other important events. The park isn't particularly large, but it offers a very peaceful with a great view of the rivers and the Mansion House, a historic home that was originally used as a tavern and is packed full of artifacts. We really enjoyed chatting with the park ranger on duty who was full of knowledge on the area and that we sat and talked about the park and town with for over 20 minutes. A must visit in Point Pleasant that offers a refreshing break from all the Mothman and spooky lore of the area.

Small Park located on the Confluence of Two Rivers. There's lots of information about the area and its history. Fun to walk along the river to the adjacent Park to see all the artwork on all the walls and statues and everything. Located near the Mothman Museum which is fun to check out.

Toured the State Park which is a battleground and sacred ground for the deceased settlers. The mansion on the property and the park spokesperson were awesome. There were so many artifacts and pictures and other items form that period of time and stories of some of the interesting historical figures of the day.

Beautiful place, definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Feels completely different from the atmosphere of the rest of the town -- very quiet and peaceful. Lots of memorials to look around and learn more about the history of Point Pleasant. There's also a historical house that is free/open to the public (just check their hours!). The employee inside was very kind and knowledgeable. You are allowed to walk the house at your own pace and look at various preserved artifacts. Everything is really well-maintained. They even have a dresser from Napoleon! I'm not from here myself, and I am just amazed at everything that has taken place here. So strange that this place isn't more well-recognized!!

Small but extremely well kept park where the Kanawha River meets the Ohio in Point Pleasant, WV. Museum is free to explore, the main monument is impressive and the petroglyph is pretty cool, plus there are a few other interesting monuments and nice walkway on the river depicting battle scenes. Huge trees on site, if you are into large and lovely trees ?.
