Marshall student here - Google shows that Marshall Health is open until 5pm. I got to the intake window at 4:42 and the receptionist told me that they were open. I told her that Google shows that Marshall Health is open until 5 and she became very rude and told me to “Go away.” When leaving the hospital I stopped by the info desk and asked about the times. One receptionist told me 5pm and one didn’t know. If Marshall Health was open and I was turned away, that’s a big problem.

I would like to shout out to The Pre Admission Testing Department. The employees in this office are very polite and the employees should be noticed more. I have never had an issue with this department. Thank you ladies in the P A T Department.

The billing and financial department is very bad. They won’t return phone calls or emails. When I call them to discuss a payment plan, they can’t even see the one I already have set up online and thus can’t tell me where that money is going. The relationship between Marshall Health and Cabell is itself confusing when it comes to billing, and they do not explain things very well at all.

I am a patient and my concern is why is it when you walk through the front entrance the guards want to harass certain people and others they don't stop. I had surgery last Friday and my husband always gets stopped for coming in to pick me up from outpatient. Why some of them ladies or guys do their jobs but others don't and those security guard s are a joke. The traffic out front could sure use some guidance because alot of cars are sitting there with no one inside. It's ridiculous. Put a sign upfront when you walk in to go to desk and give out arm bands to pick up your family from the surgery floor and Endoscopy floor. And the parking outside in garage is dangerous. Not organized

A five minute visit by a Marshall Health resident, in the e.r, was billed to my insurance. It should be made known; if a resident is assessing a patient, the patient has the right to know if it's going to be charged/ billed to insurance and then bill the patient for a copay! Marshall Health has been my primary care provider for years, no more.

As a patient of Marshall Health for several years, I have to say that my experience with them has been exemplary.Dr Mustafa and his entire staff are professional, kind and always there for me.I feel well taken care of , and as a cancer survivor with many health issues I am in the best health I have been in for years!I can’t say enough about the excellent healthcare I have received at this facility. My entire family are patients now and I always recommend Dr Mustafa!

Does anyone know who "the owner" is that keeps replying to all the negative feedback? I'd like a name a number to call so I can speak to someone directly about a dissatisfactory experience at Marshall Pediatrics NOW care.

As a Marshall University student, I’m highly disappointed in everything Marshall does. The wound care center “doctors/NP” don’t know what they’re doing. The nurses aren’t very educated at all, at least for the LPNs. Terrible health care service. I had a cyst removed a while ago, and I was going to get it checked. The LPN put a small strip of packing in my wound (a small strip doesn’t absorb anything). She also covered it with a bandaid. Anybody in the medical field that’s actually educated would know to put gauze and medical tape on there. It has to absorb a lot of the fluids coming from the lymphatic system. As someone who aspires to be a PA, this is one of the many reasons why Marshall sucks. Go to a better hospital for wound care. They don’t know what they are doing.

Testing was a breeze. Staff were very friendly and patient with my 1 year old needing a swab.

I will start off this review by stating that the doctors and nursing staff, for the most part, are wonderful at what they do. However, the administration, billing department , and receptionists are a whole other story. Receptionists seldom answer phones or return phone calls. The billing department is completely unorganized and is nothing more than an incoherent system of red tape.Need to make a payment over the phone? Forget about it. Receptionists are frequently known to ignore phone calls and voicemails. For FOUR DAYS, I have attempted to contact the billing department to make a payment, and each time is met with complete indifference and neglect. Such a shame that one of the few hospitals in the area are run with such neglect.

DO NOT GO TO MARSHALL PSYCHIATRIC!! I had my son on a wait-list for ONE WHOLE YEAR to get an evaluation for autism, OCD, and ADHD. I was flat out told he would not be evaluated for ADHD because of his age (he was 5 at the time of his evaluation in early March). They said we would have the results in a month tops. It took them OVER 2 MONTHS to mail his results, and didn't mention his already existing condition of Sensory Processing Disorder, and is blaming all his issues on ADHD after saying they would not even be diagnosing that because of his age. Also, they had an intern do the entire evaluation instead of an attending who could actually tell the nuance between SPD and ADHD!!!Also, they are constantly switching out doctors, therapist, and everyone else. For people who need consistency in their mental health care, this is definitely not the place to go!!!!

Chris Kennedy is the most amazing provider I have ever had. He takes my mental health seriously and treats me like a human that just needs help, without making me feel badly. Wonderful provider, highly recommend.

Terrible place to work! Worked all the nurses through all this pandemic with not so much as a thank you and now absolutely nothing, not a good word or anything for nurses week. Terrible place!
