Like another commenter mentioned,I too was there ( probably the same day) when the computer crashed and I wish they would have called me cause I went there for nothing.
Been going there for decades and have great doctors, sometimes though they never send you results of blood tests, even if it's normal I want to know asap.

I gave them 3 chances (that’s on me). First appointment, I showed up and they told me all the doctors had gone home because the computers were down. I asked why no one had called me… The very rude office staff said “ Well, you didn’t have an appointment then”. They looked in the computer and of course, I did have an appointment. No apology. They just put me at the back of the line to come back at their next available, which was in a month.
I came back for that appointment a month later and was exactly 15 minutes late. It’s not my style, but something came up. Anyhow, they gave me paperwork to fill out and after waiting for about 40 minutes without being called in, I went up to the desk to ask what’s going on and, long story short, the first lady I talked to had never checked me in so even though the second lady gave me paperwork to fill out and told me to wait in the waiting room, they told me the best they could do was to see me an hour and a half later, which would be a total of almost 3 hours after my appointment time. They said if you’re more than 15 minutes late, they can’t see you. Just a total cluster. I was pretty much done with them, but because I complained so vocally, the office manager came out to talk to me. She didn’t really understand the scope of the incompetence because of course the staff didn’t tell her about how they screwed up my first visit. Nevertheless, she seemed to care and she gave me her personal number in case I ever wanted to reschedule.
A couple of weeks later after I cooled down, I called and made an appointment. Don’t ask me why. So I show up for this, my third attempt, 20 minutes early as they recommended. Almost an hour later, which was 35 minutes after my appointment time, after watching them call in a room full of people who arrived either at the same time as me or later, I finally decided that I could not stand to waste another minute of my time in that office. I got them to cancel my appointment and refund my copay.
I cannot imagine what it would be like dealing with them if you had a serious problem. I was just going for a check up.

I got here at 11. 1 person was in front of me. I'm still sitting here at 1230. They took my co pay in 15 minutes. Never coming back.

The worst medical facility I've ever known. Patients are not a priority. Receptionist nurses, people who respond to phone calls absolutely rude making you feel bad fo just trying to see what was wrong. Doctor tells you to call them, you call them and they get mad at you for calling. Waiting for a week and a half for the results of testing. Still no response. Apparently people's lives and what they're going through are not important at this facility.

Had apt at 1130. Got call back quickly. Nurse took my vitals and med questions. Told me that Jamie would be with me in a few minutes. This was 20 till 12. At 1230 I still haven't seen anyone, so I went up front. All staff was eating. If someone had informed me about a delay things may have went differently, but to leave me or anyone for that matter for 50 minutes is not professional.

The doctors and nurses at HIMG are extraordinary. They go out of their way to find out what's wrong with their patients and get them the medical help they need. Seeing all these negative reviews about HIMG makes no sense to me or anyone I've spoke with that goes here. Dr. Ahmed Abdelgaber is a blessing from God. Since we've began seeing him my husband, mom, and son is doing better, and finally getting the right treatment. He really cares and so does all the other doctors, nurses, and staff at HIMG.

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at HIMG. I've been seeing Heather Whittington in Gastroenterology for quite awhile and she is wonderful. She's concerned about you and she listens unlike many providers at other area medical facilities.
She is empathetic & compassionate and a kind and knowledgeable lady.
I highly recommend her.
Also I had an endoscopy performed by Dr. John Eastone. He too is wonderful in my opinion. I experienced no problems during or after the procedure and he explained the procedure to me beforehand in terms I understood and afterward to my daughter.
All the staff and nurses are polite, friendly and caring in the Gastro department.
I highly recommend them and am thankful for them.

Happy with most there except for calling in, and this one office:
Note: the following are my words, not quotes.
One surgeon's office at HIMG, Dr. "R", scheduled a colon radiology exam; they told me verbally the prep was 2 days of clear liquid diet. When I went to the appointment, the hospital was surprised that I was not prescribed a prep. I called the office after this and told them what I was told, and they asked me what prep? I told them I was shocked that the surgeon's office didn't know the prep for an exam they schedule with the hospital. She proceeded to tell me over the phone the full prep procedure, I could not write it down at the time and asked them to either email me or call me back and leave the instructions in on my voice mail; they refused and told me to call them back and they would tell me verbally over the phone. We all know how that takes a long time. I am surprised that office doesn't give preparation instructions in writing to their patients. I was also told that there were no new employees when I suggested that might have been the reason why I was just given verbal, incomplete instructions.

It’s beginning to feel like you’re just a number ..meaning you wait more time in the waiting area and only see your doctor/nurse practitioner for 15 mins and really don’t feel like you’re getting the benefit like you did before they merge with the other hospital/medical care..disappointing to say the least.

Waste of time to go there, they don't believe or respect their patients, the doctors tell everyone it's just anxiety, without running test or blood work. My friend just died of cancer and they just kept telling him he had anxiety, worse doctors in the united states! The nurses just play on their cell phones and get mad when they actually have to work! This place don't even deserve one star! Someone needs to contact the medical board, because it's obvious, there just in it for the money! Couldn't care less about their patients.someone needs to call the medical board on this place, it's obvious there just in it for the money, they don't give a damn about their patients!

HIMG rarely answers the phone. Calling the main number results in hour-long hold times. The call center is not managed properly or this would not be happening every time one calls. I hope Mountain Health Network leaders will make some improvements in this area. My Mom who is 86 cannot navigate this medical system.

The doctors may be good, but trying to call the facility is awful. I needed to call the lab, which isn't an option on the speed dial list. And I was on hold 27 minutes then gave up. Hire some operators.
