My parents have lived in Berkeley Springs for 5 years now and today was our first time finally checking out this theater, and wow, what an experience. We’re kicking ourselves for not coming here sooner. As a huge movie buff myself who loves going to the movies, I’m very impressed. This little theater has so much charm! I don’t leave reviews often but I just had to for this place.We stopped in for a showing of the new Ghostbusters Frozen Empire movie, and we were the first people to arrive so we had a chance to chat with the owners a bit and they are so friendly and fun! (I believe Trey was her name, but unfortunately didn’t catch the gentleman’s name, but he was kind and hilarious!) They even had pillows and blankets for their guests incase anyone got cold during the movie. You can tell the owners have a love for movies because they were so excited about this Ghostbusters movie, and who better to run a theater than people who genuinely have a love and passion for the industry?The place was very clean, had plenty of different snacks to choose from, the seats were comfortable, the sound system was great, the screen was a really decent size, and the auditorium was much bigger than I expected since it seems a bit small from the outside. Plus you can’t beat the prices here! They are also very open and accepting of EVERYONE as they have a “Hate is not welcome here” sign in their window, which wins HUGE bonus points from me. We will definitely be coming back often now that we know what we’ve been missing.If you’re local to the area and have never been here before, trust me and give it a try sometime. And if you’re a visitor from out of town, and you need something to do with the family during some downtime, check it out!To the owners, thank you for the amazing experience today. You’ve brought so much charm to Berkeley Springs with your theater and I wish you years of success. You deserve it!

The popcorn is very tasty. We had a good overall experience. We've never been to a movie theater this old and we were surprised by the audio and the image quality. the owners are really nice as well.

The STAR Theatre IS the bright star of our town. Its owners not only provide excellent venues to entertain us, but also creative events like the recent "Whole-Lotta-Love a Palozza that brought the whole town together around our youth. Thank you

What a beautiful hidden gem ! Coolest movie theater I have been to in 25 years! So cozy and sound was on point! Trey has done such incredible thing bringing this to life ❤️When you first walk up it totally takes you back in time! Little freshmen counter.When you find you seat or they have few couches as well in back sides. . They have blankets and pillows (remember it’s a real vintage retro style historic building it wasn’t uncomfortable at all. I can’t wait to come back to town ! They also have theatrical shows I was told. Love supporting small business this one 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our first visit since moving to the area was for a Tuesday date night. They were screening the Original House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price, which is one of my all time favorites. The pre movie commentator was interesting and informative and apparently they just upgraded their sound system, which was a bonus. I loved that they have sofas in the back for a little extra on the ticket price, for an at home viewing experience. Very much looking forward to our next visit to this lovely old style theater. Very classy retro vibe with the red velvet walls. Highly recommend!

A real gem of an old time theater that has first run movies. The snack bar won't break the bank and you can even reserve one of the few couches in the back to relax and watch. Great, modern sound system.

Really enjoyed my visit to this theater. It's clearly quite historic, and I loved how the owners have preserved its vintage feel. I would highly recommend. Watching a movie there is a really fun, memorable experience.

Took the neice to see Breakfast at Tiffany's for $2 Tuesday. Great local place. Good popcorn. Best part is owner asking if anyone had any community announcements to make before the show started.

What a neat thing to do in this sweet little town. Berkley Springs is a frequent, yearly stop for us, it's the halfway point between our home and going back to visit family. The theater is so near, well restored, and taken care of. They recent got surround sound. The ticket prices are so reasonable and you have to get popcorn!
