11/4/23 Don Morgan is the best in the business! We didn't have heat from our electric furnace, answered my message in a short time within a half an hour. He visited our home right away, found issue and fix within less than an hour. We appreciate your knowledge, professionalism, and business! My wife and I came home from vacation on a Saturday evening to find our house 82 degrees. We called Don and he came out Sunday morning first thing. Very nice and knowledgeable, had our AC fixed within 30 minutes. Definitely recommend him!

Mr. Morgan rescued us several years ago from freezing when the heat went out at our house in Berkeley Springs. He came late at night and replaced a broken thermostat. Fast forward — yesterday the heat pump/air conditioning unit died. Mr. Morgan came at 8pm last evening, got the info he needed and today returned to replace the unit. He is wonderful! He charges very fair prices — almost half of what another service wanted a while back to replace the unit. Highly recommend him.Services: AC repair

In NOVA HVAC places charge you $140 to visit your home, and then bill you on 15 minute intervals. We needed our heat pump replaced about 5 years back in NOVA and a very well known HVAC company gave us an estimate of $16,000 for $4000 worth of equipment that I could buy on the internet as a consumer. I went with a local HVAC guy I had been working with for years, for less than half that price. Point being, many of these firms rob you. Fast forward to two years ago in RR, when our AC failed... it was 20 years old and leaking coolant. I looked locally and called Don Morgan. Don came to our place fairly quickly and we discussed repair vs new equipment, and I decided due to the age, I wanted a quote for a new system. Don gave me a price so low to install a new AC, I couldn't believe what I was hearing (as I was used to being robbed). Don and his guys installed our new system shortly after that meeting, and we are very pleased. The new system is sized properly so it doesn't struggle in the summer, and all is good. This past Sunday, in RR I noticed our furnace blower was not working. Usually when this happens it's a blown motor capacitor, a bad fan relay on the control board, or a bad motor... sort of in that order. I took the capacitor out and tested it with my meter, and it was reading low...out of specifications, so I assumed it was that $5 part that needed replacement. Yesterday UPS delivered one from Grainger and that didn't solve the issue. I then got frustrated and called Don Morgan and left him a voice mail telling him my issue, what I did, and asked him to call me and help me. I then tested the voltages on the control board and concluded that there was no fan voltages being put out... so bad fan relay/board. I immediately looked online and ordered one for delivery for today. Then Don called me back at 5:30pm last night... we talked a little bit, I told him what I did and that I ordered a board... and he said I'll come over, and test it for you just to make sure you don't waste your money on the board, in case the issue is the motor. 30 minutes later he shows up... spends 10 minutes testing and agrees it's the board... When I ask him what I owe him, he said nothing. Here is a guy who had to drive an hour round trip, and spend 10 minutes with me, and he doesn't want to charge me! Seriously?! I reached into my walled and took out some cash and put it on the furnace, and said, take it please. He said, if I have any trouble installing the board to give him a call. Board came today, I put it in, and we now have HEAT! Feels good to have heat! I can't speak highly enough about Don Morgan... a real kind man.. and he is excellent. He used to teach HVAC at Northern Virginia Community College... so he knows what he is talking about, and he is very fair. This man clearly doesn't know what he's doing.... He installed our Goodman heat pump and we've had nothing but issues. He changes parts without testing to make sure they work, went thru 3 thermostat 's not including high electric bill from running our heat pump in emergency while waiting over a month for it to get fixed. Finally after having enough decided to have someone else come to look at it. Don had our heat pump so screwed up that Goodman gave us a new unit! Do not have this guy do anything would highly recommend affordable heating and hvac in Hancock Maryland!

If you're looking for prompt response, quick installation or parts swapping at a premium price...he could be your man. I experienced That without the follow up when the new installation needed tweeking and he left me to figure that out..it was the thermostat. He refused to seek tech help from Goodman. As a result, I just got the electric bill from those 3 weeks. $760.00. He May be an installer but not a technician.Be advised.
