RiteAid Pharmacy off of summitview & 52nd has the most disrespectful and lazy pharmacy techs and pharmacist EVER . My first experience with this lovely pharmacy was back on FEB 27 of 14. I had gone in there to fill prescriptions that I was going to need for a major surgery I had coming up in a week. So as I stood in line like cattle (because there are no waiting chairs you can sit in with out loosing your spot in line),The pharmacy tech finally moseys on over and start out with a very unenthusiastic hello (like I wanted to be there as much as she did!). I explained how I needed my meds and went to hand her my id and insurance card, very rudely she grabbed my insurance out of my hands and started looking them over. I had started to explain to her that certain referral numbers has switched on the card due to a new policy but that if you put them in my insurance would take care of my meds. Before I could even start and explain this she had already taken off with my card! Without listening to a word I said! To no surprise she came back to tell me my insurance wouldn't accept it (as I already knew) now again trying to explain to the pharmacy tech what she needs to do to get this accepted she started to WALK OFF AGAIN!!!! So with finally having enough I raised my voice and demanded the lady come back and listen to my whole explanation before she takes off on me a 3rd time! Now let's fast-forward a week.... I have already had my major surgery (and I am talking about at least 200 stitches that my doctor had to internally put in my core to hold my stomach together) ...needless to say people you can feel my pain on this one!!! W my meds to be running out later in the after noon (3/27/14) I'm not too worried about it I take my last dose have my boyfriend drive me to the same RiteAid (thinking of well they have all my info and insurance on record this should be easy!....oh so wrong) we get there wait on like like cattle again and there's no chairs (as my nausea sets in) the polite customer being helped I'm front of us tells the pharmacy tech 'help that young girl first cruz I have a few things' and the tech said 'no it's ok shes ok'!!!!!!and continues to help this lady... Finally it my turn I go up give them the old refill bottle and AGAIN the pharmacy tech grabs my med bottles and runs off, I'm think ok first don't get mad you don't need that... But yet again they come back w the same your insurance won't take blah blah blah!!!!!! Finally after calling the actual pharmacist down (who spoke to me as if I was ignorant on insurances and what my coverage was) I have to get my doctor on the phone who YELLED at the pharmacist for doing this to me, yep got my meds right after that.... They disgust me and should all be fired frankly.im giving one star for the front cashier who was an extremely nice young man.
