Truly wish I had had a better experience here. With two bulging discs and degenerative discs, I had spent the last year trying to get better and was finally feeling ready to start physical therapy after receiving a steroid shot a few months ago.The therapist who had a somewhat cavalier demeanor dismissed my offer to look at the MRI and said it doesn't matter, and even though I stressed I can be in a lot of pain when my back does go out, he continued to stretch me. I felt fine when I left first appointment a week ago, but the next morning could barely walk. Been in constant pain since then. My pain level went from a 4 or so to an 8 or 9 and it is impossible to sit at my desk. I cannot stand straight and it is excruciatingly painful just to bend down to pick up my dog's output, I even have to kneel on both knees because I cannot reach.With rest and light activity such as swimming I know I will be better in a few weeks or sooner. It is just disappointing to feel like I went several steps back here. In the future will suggest that if a patient needs to go super slow and has a long history of pain, to try and suggest very basic exercises to start and to not overstretch them. I'm wondering if maybe a nerve got pinched or if it was just bad luck.

I've got nothing but great things to say about the people at Pro Active physical therapy. I've been going to the East Vancouver location for a work related injury since November. Ryan, Lynn, Cliff and Cody and all the supporting staff are awesome

I came here before and after ACL repair surgery. They are very knowledgeable and friendly! I feel like Dr Price took me to a new level of balance even before I had surgery on my knee. Highly recommend!

Rachel Ford was my physical therapist and she is amazing! She is friendly, nice and knowledgeable! The environment here is so relaxing and all the staff are nice and friendly! Would definitely recommend!!

Ryan does a great job of listening. He becomes fully aware of what's not working (body-wise) then comes up with a plan we can execute to get me fully back in action.

This particular ProActive location has stellar staff and provides excellent customer service, every time. Michelle who leads the front, is a blessing. She truly holds the office together and always provides a pleasant experience. She's a quick thinking problem-solver who genuinely cares. Moreover, Michelle looks out for each patient's scheduling needs to ensure they receive complete services at a time that works for you. Carmen follows in her footsteps in this regard by also providing a positive patient experience.The therapists are each amazing in their own right! Each with more knowledge than a primary care physician, they give you helpful knowledge and exercises to do at home that are guaranteed to help your physical therapy situation, if you do your homework and actually utilize the exercises. Each staff member is exceptional and I would choose no company or location to handle my PT needs.Thank you ProActive for providing an amazing & flawless Physical Therapy experience, every time.

This is in a small building, where the employees and patients seem more like family and friends than people in a medical office. It is a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. They have been so great in helping me recover from a sprained ankle, that I waited a long time to get therapy for (me being stubborn until I realized that I needed it) . They have listened to me, and tailored my treatments to prepare me for the soccer games that I have just started playing, as well as other activities that I do. I actually look forward to going to physical therapy. I can see improvement in my balance every week. I receive treatment for my neck muscle tension, as well.

My 14 year old daughter was seen at this location for hand therapy. She was made to feel belittled for her lack of knowledge. We had a very poor experience and felt there should have been more overall education and direction rather than merely throwing a commandment without further direction and guidance on the strengthening skill given. The therapist generally gave my daughter a skill to accomplish then turned to walk away without further care. Overall lack of empathy and genuine care for the patient was our experience!!!! We would not recommend this location. We will be seeking care elsewhere.

Love the staff at ProActive--everyone is very friendly and accommodating. My therapists are great about listening to my feedback on the therapy exercises they have given me and about explaining exactly what the exercises are helping my improve and how they should look and feel when done correctly. Definitely the best PT experience I have had.

Just finished PT here for my plantar fasciitis. What an awesome experience! The ladies up front are friendly and welcoming... the place is clean... Evan and Cliff were my trainers and they were both knowledgeable about my condition... Everyone who works there has their own special personality and although the exercises were quite challenging, I still enjoyed myself... thanks guys!!!

The staff is friendly and understanding :) I enjoy my sessions because as they know what they are doing and instructing me to do, I also get entertained by them. I feel taken care of there. They could use better equipment, but the service is great. Id recommend them for sure!
