The day you need an emergency veterinarian is always insanely stressful to say the least, but for me was also incredibly emotional. Every single member of the staff I have interacted with, and there have been several over the last week while we try to figure out what’s going on and provide the best care for my pet, has gone above and beyond both in terms of care and service provided, and in understanding the strong emotions that come when your pet is unwell. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I’ve worked in a few different vet clinics and been a client to a few more, and this office is by far the best I’ve seen.

Worst place to go. I have never been so disappointed in care for my animal. I waited over 6 hours and still they did not look at my animal.I talked with the front desk and they told me some people wait 12 hours before an exam. It was appalling. Then when they did I initially checked my annual in they asked me if anything should happen would I want cpr on my animal. I asked how much and the lady said 12-1800 I said wow I can’t afford that. She then asked how much I can afford. I didn’t answer. The way she came across was rude and made me feel like they would charge me up to how much I could afford. I will never go here again

The people at BluePearl were just wonderful they took very good care of my Sadie May (my Boxer Girl) . It was very easy to find the Hospital, and there was lots of easy parking. The hospital was very clean. The waiting room was comfortable, and had TV & snacks. I would recommend BluePearl Hospital

They are very professional looking and if you got money and your pet is dying this is the place to go to but their hearts are in the wrong place so I'm sure they'll get you for all they can.
My dog was in there for a few hours and told me it was 1.2k to get him out but when it came down to pay they asked for 2.5k and now I'm out one dog and 2.5k. Please go to any other vet instead of this one. It would've been 1/5th of the cost and you'd be supporting a local vet who's heart is in the right place.
PS I never write bad reviews.

I had to take my senior dog with a heart condition to Blue Pearl at 1am for seizures and a possible stroke like event. They saw her immediately (active seizure) and were fast, professional and courteous. Both the overnight and day shift docs were great in providing info and updates roughly every 12 hrs. My sweet Maybe cakes ended up staying for approx. 36 hrs from ICU and oxygen to stable enough to go home. The follow-on care plan written by Dr. Schmitz was incredible and I appreciated all the details and recommendations. The check out procedure was thorough and every BluePearl member I encountered was considerate, professional and helpful. I had a few follow-on questions that they answered within 12 hrs via text which was great. I also appreciated the itemized deposit quote and ultimately the itemized receipt of every test, medicine and procedure rendered as it made submitting a claim with my pet insurance carrier easy and it was accepted on the first attempt. Highly recommend.

As well all have fur babies we worry about them when they aren’t with us! My puppy Stellah got hit by a car 10/16. I wasn’t home so I got the call from
My neighbors. Stellah was at her regular vet the entire day and we were told she needed to be transferred to Blue Pearl! As soon as we got to Blue Pearl they literally ran out to my car. Stellah spent the night at the hospital. When I woke up the next day I have an updated text message and a phone call giving me her update! Through out the day I was called multiple times with updates! When we picked Stellah up the nurse was very informative of her discharge! I was not expecting any communication from the hospital! I was wrong! I have received texts messages all week inquiring how Stellah is doing! My only regret is the hospital doesn’t have a clinic to switch her too. This was an awesome experience even though it was a traumatizeing one.

If I could give this hospital a zero I would !
Everyone please, never bring your pet here.
I brought mine who is sick, made me wait 6 hours and then told me they couldn’t see my pet because his case wasn’t a priority at the time; and could be seen in 8 more hours.
Obviously I came in, because it was an emergency. If not why bother waiting and taking the trip to the hospital? My pet is still not okay tonight and have to look for somewhere else to bring it in to get it seen.

Fantastic experience, our cat Socrates was presenting with some deeply concerning symptoms and they took care of her the moment we came in the door, before we even had a chance to say what was wrong (she was in respiratory distress when we got there and as soon as I set her on the counter they took her back to an oxygen chamber). Pricing was fair and they were up front about the cost before doing anything beyond the emergency response (taking her for oxygen) despite having us sign paperwork saying we'd approve up to $1200 in care - they asked us about each thing anyway, which was appreciated. Dr Thorpe was very busy that day with emergency surgery but made the time to talk to us as soon as he could and then again later in the day when he was in surgery a long time and wasn't able to call us back right away. Soc spent the day there and while it was a big dent in the wallet, again I feel the pricing was totally fair and I'd do anything for my kitty anyway. Dr Thorpe was very informative and explained everything that was going on with her and was also honest about the parts they weren't sure about. Nobody tried to pressure us into anything and everyone was incredibly kind and understanding and supportive. You could easily tell everyone there was a real animal lover and wanted to help, not get paid first and foremost. They even washed out her carrier and cleaned the towel we had in there as best they could after she defecated in the carrier on the way there (very unusual for her but she was very sick). I called them back after we took them home with some concerns and they were very kind and informative and did not pressure us to bring her back in (in fact they said she should be fine and to only bring her back if we were really worried) nor did they charge anything for the support over the phone. All in all a top notch experience given the circumstances and I'm so glad they were able to help my baby. The only thing I could possibly complain about is that she caught a cold there, but that's not really something you can control in a situation where multiple sick animals are being held in one place, and she's completely fine other than a runny nose. Our regular vet, who we saw a few days later (we already had an appointment scheduled but Dr Thorpe told us we should follow up with the regular vet anyway), was able to confirm it was just a cold and not a big deal. So nothing serious there. I would definitely go to BluePearl again if I needed to, I feel confident they would give any of my pets the support they needed in a timely and caring fashion. Thanks for your help everyone <3

Caution: Be wary of the medication Zorbium.
I took my granddaughter and her beloved 14-month-old kitty to Blue Pearl Emergency due to his leg having been shattered up to his shoulder. We decided to have the broken front leg amputated. The surgery went well, and the veterinarian did a very good job with the amputation.
While the hospital staff were caring and the in-hospital care was very good, I am deeply disappointed with the post-operative pain medication my granddaughter’s cat, Lufa, received. After a leg amputation on Saturday, September 28, 2024, Lufa was administered Zorbium, which caused severe reactions including sleeplessness, excessive drooling, erratic movements, seizures, jerking movements, lack of appetite, and collisions with objects. He never slept. This went on for a few days until he died. Despite two calls to the vet, we were assured these reactions were normal, which deterred us from seeking further immediate care.
Tragically, Lufa passed away early the following Tuesday morning.
This experience has not only resulted in a heartbreaking loss for our family but has also placed us under considerable financial strain due to the costs of surgery and treatments. The cost was $7,7400, of which I am in debt. My granddaughter endured significant emotional stress while caring for Lufa during his final days, exacerbating our family’s grief.

I had to take my dog outside because he was puking blood. They bumped me to the back of the cue while I was out there even though I was explicitly told I could wait in the parking lot. Was not called or texted before being bumped. Was shamed by a staff for not knowing that I had to tell them I was going outside. It was very frustrating and demeaning to be ridiculed during such a stressful situation. Very poor communication. Also, the front desk was empty multiple times

We have gone to Blue Pearl multiple times and will continue to do so. We were referred to Blue Pearl by our regular vet when our dog was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. He is in remission but we continue to go for yearly check ups to make sure everything still looks good. Our dog is very scared of the vet but he does so well at Blue Pearl because the support staff and Dr. Shor are amazing. Our dog recently developed another type of cancer and we didn't hesitate to see Dr. Shor. We are happy to say treatment was successful. I cannot express how amazing the staff and Dr. Shor are. I would recommend them a thousand times over.
We also had a wonderful experience with Dr. Hodesson. Our other dog had to have a more complex oral surgery and Dr. Hodesson explained things well, and was very kind. The amount of monitoring during and post surgery is superior to our regular vet. This gave us so much comfort since our dog is brachycephalic breed and also has a heart murmur.
We are forever Blue Pearl customers!

Dr Gill and her staff are exceptional! I was VERY impressed with Blue Pearl from my first contact over the phone with them, to my visit with them. Their customer service is top notch, their knowledge is amazing and you can tell they really care about the pets they take care of and their owners. I felt their prices were very fair for an emergency clinic and I really feel like they go out of their way to help you and your pet.
I loved my experience here so much that Dr Gill will be my primary vet from now on for my Guinea pigs. It’s always stressful when you have to go to an emergency clinic for your pet but when you come away from that clinic with a good feeling (even though you may get news you don’t like) that tells me that’s an exceptional place.
Thank you for being a clinic where we can take our pets and know and trust that they will get outstanding care there!

*1/5 Stars - AVOID BLUEPEARL PET HOSPITAL*
I was referred to BluePearl Pet Hospital by my vet, but my experience was an unmitigated disaster. The staff was aggressively pushy, rude, and seemingly indifferent to my pet's well-being.
They pressured me to leave my pet overnight, quoting an outrageous $5,000 estimate without providing clear explanations or empathy. Their sole focus appeared to be extracting money, rather than providing quality care.
Thankfully, I sought a second opinion at another emergency vet, where I received genuine compassion, clear answers, and effective treatment for a fraction of the cost ($1,000).
The contrast between the two experiences was stark. BluePearl's prioritization of profits over pets is appalling. I will never return and urge others to explore alternative options.
*DO NOT RECOMMEND*
