My family and I have used Global for their shared branching since we moved to Washington years ago and had banked in Idaho previously. Even when you’re not a member, they go out of their way to make a great impression. When a person dies, no one should have to take over their payments. My mom VOLUNTEERED to repay my dad's loan...she does not have to, by law. Then you charge he $13 when she repays more than minimum payment and another $10 when she has to call to make the payment. Your people do not understand that she is legally blind and has no computer. So it doesn't do her any good when your people tell her to go online to make payments online. When she took over the payments, she had a balance of $3500. How after paying $500/month over the course of FOUR years is the balance still showing over $2000?? I would not trust Global Credit Union any further than I can spit.

I recently shut down my bank accounts at Global. I had previously been enrolled in Bill Pay, but I assumed that shutting down the account would discontinue any and all services related to the bank account. Just as I don't expect to get any interest on money I had in savings, I didn't expect for Bill Pay to continue. Several weeks later, Global sent a check to my mortgage company which reopened my account and made me negative by nearly 2 grand; a double payment was sent to my lender as I had already set up the new payment method. Global refused to rescind the payment and told me it was my responsibility. Had I been told when I canceled my account that I should first stop all future bill pay payments, I would have. I assumed that shutting down the account would stop all services. On top of that, I was charged a $60 overdraft fee. I would not recommend banking here. Go to STCU instead.

Nothint but an amazing banking experience! I have been with global for over 6 years and I have only have amazing things to say about them. They offer 6.5 APY on smart savings accounts. I pay to be a platinum member which come with such good perks like roadside assistance and atm reimbursements no matter where all for $15 a month. They send you a replacement debit card in over night shipping. Honestly such a great place. Also 1.5% APY on e-velocity checking accounts. Go check it out! Also I see some bad reviews on customer service I have had multiple slight situations where they have been nothing but kind and understanding and fix it right away, just my experiences though.

Dealing with this credit union has only been a monumental waste of time. I had a specific situation that I called John Beebe for information on. Had he listened to my deliberately-worded initial question, he wouldn't have wasted either of our time. Instead, he only heard that I was looking for a loan. After weeks of jumping through hoops to get him everything he asked for, he informed me that he didn't realize the property I was working on was out of his area of expertise. This was info I gave him at the very beginning. Very unprofessional, and people should expect more from places like GCU.

Jeremy and his manager are no help at all . Very rude and disrespectful. Had the worst experience with this bank I would not recommend it at all ! Please don’t try to get loan here very rude and not understandable . The worst part is that all of their staff are rude . And when u try to explain the situation they hang up on u or get all rude with u . That is not a proper way for a bank to do business.
