“Love this store! Such cute things inside. I have been coming here for ages. Best gifts. My last experience, my 50+ year old friend and I picked out some red wine. The 20+ year old cashier asked for our ID. We laughed and said we were flattered but I had forgotten my wallet and just had cash on me, and I didn't think to go home to get it as I never get carded. She proceeded to argue that there is no way we have purchased alcohol in WA state without being carded. My friend said he was flattered but hadn't been asked for ID for 20 years. He looks his pushing 60 age. We frequently purchase wine all over Spokane and at restaurants as we look at our 50s. The cashier instead of politely saying, it's our policy and not selling him the wine, insinuated my friend was a liar. And that we was making up stories. I am all for following your gut or policy. Do what you need to, maybe without calling customers liars or falsely accusing them of making up stories.”
