“I came to Canopy with a checkered banking past. They opened up my account and I STILL had some money management skills to learn and ended up overdrafting beyond what my finances could repair. They never sent me to collections and when I became more financially secure they worked a payment plan out with me and we reopened an account once I made good on my past due balance. They have always treated me like family, even though my troubles. I will never close my account with them. This branch office is just minutes from my home and although I do a lot of my banking online, they have always provided me with excellent customer service. Last year, I received a notification that someone was trying to fraudulently use my debit card. STCU had denied the transaction but I stopped in to ask if it was advisable to cancel that card. They not only gave me a new card right there in the office but reviewed my accounts and set me up with features that ensure my money would be generating additional interest.
