Fyi! This bank doesn't cash checks for long time account holders! And that's straight from the Racist tellers mouth. Refused to cash my husband's vacation check. He's had an account with BofA for 10 plus years and has direct deposit coming in every week from the exact same company, that the vacation check he wanted to cash was from. Teller refused and made him deposit it and it still hasn't cleared, our vacation is completely ruined. We never had any of these problems in Tacoma but always an issue out here. Will be switching to a more inclusive bank asap.

(Slight update 11/28/22)Being an outsider of this bank, I have a love-hate relationship as of now with this bank.Let me explain why...Although everyone was very friendly, and they were. But after my mom's death, there was information, or should I say, maybe a "reminder" that BOA should have told me but did not.My mother passed away over a month and a half ago. I was left to finalize the things that needed to be taken care of; there wasn't much bank-wise, but it included closing her bank accounts.Of course, I just learned a few weeks after I had closed her accounts that my bank explained that BOA should have held off closing them or advised me not to close for a couple of months due to any possible refunds coming in.I was so distraught with having just lost my mother, and everything else I was taking care of that deals with someone passing. It would have been nice had Joanne (who I started this process with) or the other staff I dealt with concerning my mom's accounts informed, reminded, or advised me to wait to close them in case of possible refunds coming in. Still, no one did, so I went forward in completing them. I never thought about holding off closing her accounts or I would have for this very reason.Well, it was two refund checks that came in, now a third one has just come in, and guess what? Because my mother's bank account was closed, at the advice of BOA, I could no longer cash the refund checks there; although, my mom being a member for over a decade, BOA still would not cash it, death certificate or not. They told me to contact the company that issued the check or try the bank that initially made out the check, but to my dismay, none of that worked, even with a death certificate, the companies that issued the refunds would not re-do the check and make it payable to me and explained that the money would go to a pool of unclaimed cash if the check went uncashed. So, this review is more than just a bad, good or indifferent review of BOA. It's more along the lines of reminding banking staff that when dealing with customers that you know that are dealing with a loss of a parent or a death in general, not to leave out crucial information to the customer. Even if you think the customers are supposed to know those little details, if someone is grieving, they tend to forget or have a lot of things on their mind. Most of the time, they are overwhelmed like I was, handling everything independently. Also, this is a reminder if anyone is put in this situation, try and do your homework first.

Ugh. I'm a longtime BofA customer, both personal and business. I changed my business name YEARS ago. I told BofA at the time and was told it wasn't a problem. I was still able to deposit and order checks through BofA through my new business name. Then a month ago, I was suddenly denied the ability to make deposits and told I needed to close my account and open a new account. I was granted an exception to make a deposit provided I made an appointment with a business banker. I did. And was then was told by the business banker that I couldn't open a new account and couldn't have ordered checks through BofA under my new (again YEARSLONG) name. Um, look again. The business banker was politely apologetic but ineffectual and seemed to defer to the manager who didn't take time to come over and hear more about my situation. I'm a simple business person and not a scammer and don't like being made to feel that way and so took my business to another bank. A new account was super easy to set up with no problems whatsoever. I'll be closing my personal accounts with BofA as well. I thought about visiting another BofA branch because the Silverdale folks have often seemed behind the times but decided I didn't want to work that hard when another bank is willing to accept my business with open arms. I'm old enough that I miss WAMU. They were awesome.

You have the bank in Bremerton completely closed down and the one in Silverdale isn't open on saturdays. I have a full time job and can't make it to silverdale during the week day. And now I can't go to the bank to handle my business on saturdays this is ridiculous.
