Attempted to exchange a compact radiator I had purchased just two days ago with a bigger one, as it failed to adequately heat my bedroom. During this interaction, the store manager, identifiable by his red beard and cap, exhibited discourteous behavior in the presence of his junior colleague. He adamantly declined my request for an exchange, citing some purported warranty policy. When I purchased the item in store, I wasn’t told that the sale is final. I don’t collect receipt as I usually use my reward program information. Upon conducting online research, I discovered that Ace Hardware's website does indeed permit returns for the same item!This was not the initial instance of unsatisfactory treatment I have experienced from this specific employee or manager, who appears to aspire to a position of authority. Despite the fact that every item in this store is priced 20-30% higher than comparable offerings at Home Depot and Lowe's, I continued to patronize it in order to support a local business.I subsequently contacted Ace Hardware Customer Service and formally registered a complaint. I now await a response from the store manager in question and won’t use the store until then.

Tweedie and Pop Hardware Store is an absolute godsend when it comes to tackling home improvement projects. They have an impressive inventory of everything you could possibly need, which makes it a one-stop-shop for all of our needs. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer helpful advice and recommendations. We also appreciate the convenience of the great parking options available. Overall, Tweedie and Pop Hardware Store is a fantastic resource for anyone who enjoys tackling DIY projects or needs to make quick repairs around the house. I highly recommend checking them out!

Employees are unhelpful, went in to buy paint and asked if the base was “white”, employee said “no, it has no color”… I said what do you mean, it’s either light or dark base, light base is white. He said no, it’s not white until you add a color. As soon as he opened the lid to tint, guess what color it was? White. I said that’s white, he said no, that’s not white, it just doesn’t have a color… what?? Also they stopped selling propane but nothing is posted about it and the cases are still outside, so you pull up, go inside and find out “we aren’t selling it anymore.” Employee attitude is terrible, the stock sucks, the paint guys have no clue what they are doing. If I could give it a zero out of five stars I would.

They consistently are willing to spend the extra time finding the needed materials for a job and problem solving with me. I rely on their expertise, and have never been disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about them!

A guy there helped me to get right screws and other stuff to hang a pot rack from the ceiling. It went beautifully. Thanks a lot for offering a help that we do not get from the big national stores.

This is my go-to hardware store. They have almost everything you need in such a small store. The employees are so helpful. I don't think I have ever walked in and not been greeted and asked if I need help finding anything. Great customer service, great knowledge, a nice mom and pop feel.

I'm always impressed by what they have in stock. A Christmas tree stand in the middle of December? A fan in August? This place tends to have it - even when others are sold out! Tweedy and Popp has you covered.

I manage apartment buildings and go here for keys sometimes because my regualr locksmith isn't open on weekends. I've also purchased various hardware items here. Everyone's nice, the location is super convenient and it's nice to be able to find what I need in a small local shop. Unfortunately, the keys I get here don't work about 20-25% of the time. They take them back and refund me or recut them, but this eliminates the convenience factor. I don't go here for keys anymore unless it can't wait til Monday.

Always good customer service and helpful staff. Great selection. Super convenient and great for small projects, especially if I don't want to go over to Home Depot. This store has been my go to for a variety of things. Last summer this was the only place I found fans. For a friends birthday last year, I found the perfect gifts (they love gardening and cooking). This winter I was able to get everything I needed to winter my house and keep my pipes in good shape for the cold.
