Great location, few minutes walk from pike place market and the boardwalk. The o ly downside was the room was not well soundproofed as I could hear when someone was taking a shower, plus i asked reception for a room with good view, but they did not provide although I was the first to arrive amd we were a group of 40 people.
But for the fairness the rooftop bar has the best view of the town !
Rooms: Not soundproofed, clean, big
Nearby activities: Pike market, Patagonia, Seattle coffee works
Walkability: Yes

I wouldn't recommend staying at the Thompson Hotel in Seattle. During my stay in room 306, I experienced a persistent noise at night that ranged from a low hum to a high-pitched sound, similar to water running through pipes. It seemed to be coming from the air conditioner or plumbing and disrupted my sleep every night.
On a positive note, the room was well-appointed, and the bathroom, along with the bath products, was excellent. However, the noise issue significantly impacted my overall experience.

Their rooms generally having issues with ventilation. It’s so noisy and unbearable. I asked to change room but the second room wasn’t better. I had to wear ear plugs every night. The manager and engineer said the noise would ease out during night which was a lie.

Stayed here with family and friends for a few days before heading out on the cruise. Probably one of the best located hotels in downtown as everything is a quick walk to. Overall good experience and may be in the top 5-10 places to stay when in Seattle, but it would be important to do some research as the photos are heavy on the marketing vs a less than stellar reality.
First things first, the hotel itself is not very ADA friendly so be mindful when booking the hotel as the main entrance to the hotel and to get to the restaurant in the hotel both have steps. In addition some of the main lobby furniture isn't really accommodating and that carries into the accessible rooms.
Other things to notice there is a large stream of people coming to the hotel to access the rooftop bar, and they all share the main elevators. There never tends to be a long wait, but what that does mean is folks that do not stay on your floor can happen to follow you off the elevator, so that's a bit of a yikes for safety.
The rooms, halls, and decor are all clean if a bit dated. The lack of lighting in the room is terrible, unless you are facing an angle where you can get direct sunlight from the windows. The lack of lighting carries into the halls and other common areas. Meant to give off a moody sophisticated vibe but it doesn't live up to it.
Where this hotel shines is it's service and location. From the accommodating valet and luggage team in the front, to the front desk team. Everyone is extremely nice, always smiling, available to answer questions, and provide some great recommendations. We needed something printed off and Aaron at the front desk was not only right on it but emailed us when the documents were ready. A request to freshen up the room was meg with immediate action, and extra towel request, no matter how ridiculous was returned with a smile and was completely carried out.
The restaurant is a whole other issue. Simply put just skip it and save yourself some money and get a better meal elsewhere. Their staff was nice enough but it is clear that there is two different approaches to how the two are operated and the only benefit is that they share a building.
If there was any place where they can take it to the next level is check out. I changed my credit card on check in and I still haven't found where my stay was billed to but maybe that's not a bad thing ?

We loved our stay here. Perfect location. Everything was within walking distance. Great views (except our room on the 7th floor. Wah, wah). Staff were awesome. Was worth the money to valet our car.
Nearby activities: Two blocks from Pike Market

Currently at the Thompson Seattle and due to a simple (yet very important aspect) I am compelled to FAIL this hotel due to Kleenex/Tissues!
It blows my mind; This hotel isn't cheap and upon returning to my room, the empty Kleenex box has not been replaced. Not only has the kleenex not been replaced but, the housekeeper seems to have removed the decorative silver cover for it!!! Something so simple makes me cringe; It is fall in Seattle, allergens are in the air, allergies a reality, and yet the hotel cleaning staff doesn't replace an empty tissue box? How much can tissues cost? $3 American dollars? So now, as a paying guest, I have to either use toilet paper for my runny nose or waste my own time calling the front desk for Kleenex!! It blows my mind!!!
So, leaving this review now (Oct 5, 2024) after 3 nights (one more to go), I have to say this hotel has failed my expectations on the most basic level of comfort. If you're considering staying at the Thompson hotel, the beds are comfortable, the location is very convenient to the famous Market and etc, just be sure to pack your own Kleenex I guess!
Also, upon check-in, I was told of an awesome rooftop bar; 3x I tried to access this bar and was unable to due to a huge line. I feel as a paying hotel guest that a separate access line should be made apart from the basic patrons who come in off the streets.

Black curtains need to actually be black out; fix your coffee and tea situation in the lobby it's quite sub par a higher end boutique hotel. The renovation that happened could have done a lot better with the in suite bathrooms. Also if I'm in a party of two people at the rooftop bar, should there be a 20% auto-gratuity on my bill and shouldnt you tell me that when I get the bill? That's a little shady. Staff there were rather unfriendly and snooty too. This whole place needs a big tune-up. Don't rip us off ($550 USD a night for all this?! GTFO.)

Booked a room at the hotel because our company party was at Nest, the roof top bar with some of the best views in the city. Breakfast was outstanding and appetizers of Burrata and chicken wings were excellent.
Nearby activities: You are literally across the street from the Pike Place Market which a Seattle institution with food and seafood merchants and restaurants throughout. Waterfront is also nearby. Post Alley is a must see.
Safety: Seattle has been plagued with open drug sales and street drug use. Walking in a group is always safer. Just be aware of your surroundings.
Walkability: Easy to walk. There is a steep hill to the market.

Location is perfect! A block away from Pike Place and the waterfront. In the heart of everything, including lots of nearby bars and restaurants. The gym was well stocked with lots of equipment for a great workout. Hotel rooms were clean. Staff were very responsive when we needed things. I would be aware that there seem to be a significant number of unhoused people in this area.

I stayed here once in my birthday and I think the service here is just not as good as the brand should do. I would be happy not to stay in this hotel ever since.
