I went to Amanda with pelvic floor issues after giving birth to my first baby. Amanda and her team guided me through 6 weeks of pelvic floor physical therapy. They not only helped introduce me to various pelvic floor exercises for re-building core strength, but also helped boost my confidence in my abilities as a physically active person. I enjoyed working with Amanda and her team so much, that it was bittersweet to wrap up my therapy experience with them!

I started doing PT with Amanda after an ankle injury, what surgery to put plates and screws to fix it. After using crutches for 9 weeks, I was terrified to baring weight on my injured leg. From day one, Amanda helped me recover my confidence and trust in my body by teaching the right exercises for me. I was able to walk again without crutches way before I expected. The exercise specialists are all really competent and knowledgeable, providing me with guidance to perform the exercises correctly.

I'm an avid runner with aspirations to run a marathon. In 2023, I had 3 months to train after being injured with ITBS 4 months prior. But my injury didn't heal, so my PCP referred me to Therapeutic Associates at Queen Anne.I didn't know what to expect since I never had PT, but throughout working with Dr. Scharen and her team (Maya and Kelsey I think?), I felt I was in great care. Having run marathons and halves herself, Dr. Scharen provided invaluable guidance and insight on my (admittedly misguided) training plan at that time. (In hindsight, my plan was overly ambitious, borderline unrealistic, and guaranteed injury prone post-race.) She taught me about *sustainable* long-term running, and that slow, steady, and gradual was the way to go.Being injured meant being unable to run. Without hesitating, I opted for her proposal, which was achieve full recovery, switch to a half marathon, and delay the full marathon to 2024.I've learned new exercises strengthening muscle groups I never knew existed or remotely related to running. (Hip abductors/adductors/glute meds). I've learned that switching from running shoes to running sandals (for the first time) while maintaining/increasing my weekly running quota (10-15K a day or 10-20 mi a week) was absolute assurance for injury.TLDR: I'm fully recovered now, and I'm grateful for the care, concern, and knowledge that Dr. Scharen and her team provided. I've become a much healthier and smarter runner thanks to them. I highly recommend anyone seeking PT, especially if you're a runner, to go see Dr. Scharen. If it wasn't for her, I'd be injured again from my own ignorance.

As I've suffered a stroke back in 2009, I've had to get physical therapy a few times. No place I ever went to, was even close to being as friendly, professional, or havinga sense of decorum as Therapeutic Associates. I noticed that everyone working there, took their work as more of a calling than 'just a job.' That is something you just don't see often, if at all, anymore, especially when it's everyone working at a place having the same sensibilities of friendliness, professionalism, decorum, and happiness.

I met with Tim, Klay, Eli and Jordan and enjoyed working with them to heal from the pain in my left shoulder. After 8-9 visits, Klay discharged me with a set of exercises that I hope will prevent me from injury. They were very professional and friendly. I would seek them again for any PT.

Worked with Tim and the team on a rotator cuff tear that a surgeon said required surgery, but with a lot of work and care from the team here I no longer needed surgery post PT and have a great chance of a smooth recovery! Highly recommend

Yesterday Klay was great. He knew tricks for reminding my nerves to kick in and get back to work. Fabulous.

I went to Therapeutics Associates at Queen Ann for a running injury and was disappointed by the course of my treatment. For the initial evaluation the therapist asked me if it was ok if a student joined us. This has happened during doctors visits before, but what has never happened to me was that I was handed off to the student for evaluation and treatment. I didn't consult directly with the therapist for over a month and a half, after the student had moved onto their next rotation, even while my symptoms worsened. This made me feel devalued as a patient and like neither myself, my time, or my distress at my lack of progression were being taken seriously. For someone considering using Therapeutics Associates, I would note that the standard model seems to be that you work with the licensed therapist for roughly the first half of the session. After that you will often be handed off to a tech who takes you through the exercises set out by the therapist. In my experience working with the techs, they give limited feedback or correction on form. Personally I rely upon this sort of feedback to make sure that I'm learning the exercises correctly and that they have their intended effect.

I have been a patient at Therapeutic Associates in Queen Anne 3 times for 2 different problems. The guidance and care have been exceptional every time and have most definitely improved the quality of my life. Tim Dice, PT, DPT, has been my PT twice now and is very knowledgeable and creative with both my in office visits and my home PT program. If I should need physical therapy in the future I know exactly where to go!

Amanda and team are incredibly professional, friendly and experts in the field. They ensure the patients get a great experience with state of art PT techniques. The facility itself is very clean and tidy, and carries all equipment needed for all kinds of therapies. I would highly recommend Therapeutic Associates Queen Anne for any of your PT needs.

I worked with Amanda Scharen and I can not recommend her enough. In the beginning of my third trimester, I began to have intense pelvic girdle pain. I went from running to hardly being able to walk without pain. I figured I would have this pain the rest of my pregnancy, but with Amanda's expertise, I am at the end of my pregnancy and barely think about the pain anymore. Because of her thoughtful care, I've been able to work, exercise, and just live life without pain. I also feel more prepared for labor and birth because of the types of exercises we've worked on together.I would recommend ANY pregnant or postpartum person see Amanda. I'm looking forward to continuing my care after birth! In addition to this, the employees working at the front desk and the employees helping with exercises are always helpful, knowledgeable, and professional.

I had an incredible experience working w Amanda and the rest of the team. With a recent diagnosis of a chronic pain condition, Amanda really took the time to understand my needs spanning across my whole body. She offered great tools to exercise in a healthy way for me, and consistently checked in on my goals and the things I wanted to focus on. Alongside exercise, Amanda also worked with me on breathing and breathing through pain— a tool I’m going to take with me through life. The exercise specialists were also very kind and offered helpful guidance. My time with Amanda and Theraputic Associates gave me such a brighter outlook on exercise moving forward, and I cannot recommend them enough!
