I understand having self checkout for those who want it. However the lack of personnel to maintain 1 cash register open for those who do not is ridiculous. FYI there’s a cart full of perishables you might want someone to pay somebody take care of.

Place was slammed one actual checkout had 5 people in line. Madeline the cashier was getting hounded by a guy that wanted bread (some reason it didnt work, i didnt care). Not "Karen" strong but getting close. She dealt with it gracefully while still setting limits, kept the line moving. The self-checkout manager of with likely a decade extra of experience was more shaken with the work load and Madeline was calm as a cucumber. If i was anything but the lowest man at my job, id offer her one. pay or promote her. A person of that ability will move up in any industry, let alone with the diversity kicker.

There is a employee named TJ at this location that is always hovering over me at the check out like I am not going to pay for some thing I would not mind if maybe he said hello or can I help u but just stares and I feel intimidated by it. I confronted them this time and asked him about it, and all he did was laugh at me and then told me that the manager was upstairs if I would like to talk to him, then proceeded to tell me that I was the only one that told him that, I’ve never had any employee at Safeway ever be that way to me nor have I’ve ever felt one that followed me around the store like he has especially when I’m in the full company uniform and I make over 100 grand a year I buy sushi here every day and I will not be coming in the evening anymore because of him

They sell chicken breast here with Rib Meat and call it organic for $10.50 a pound! ??? I saw that and knew I couldn’t shop here anymore, what else are they tricking u with? Sorry just because u can don’t mean you should, this is exactly what drives up our prices.

Most of the time this Safeway has everything you need. Better than the Safeway on Gage. The pharmacy is much better. Your perscriptions are usually ready when you get texted.

Fresh veggies, custom cuts of meat, and regular sales keep me a loyal customer. Butcher slices my London Broil for beef jerky or stir fry to order. Bakery has fresh everything, and deli is top notch. It's truly a one stop shopping for qood quality at reasonable prices. Customer service is exceptional at every level. Even the stockers will go out of their way to help with finding what you need.

Everything is terrible here, the food, the selection, prices, the pharmacy is rude. The staff are reptilians feeding off customer drones. Steer clear.
