Jim is right there when you need him. I was stuck at work..I called him..and he was there within 15 min. He is very efficient and found the immediate problem. He got my car started so I could drive home. He has very reasonable fees. I had him come today to replace sensor. Great service. Great communication. Great service, quick and prompt! I will definitely call him again if I need a tow. Way better then any tow service on Yelp. He is not out to rip you off. Fair pricing and well worth it.

Experience is everything when you rely on someone to diagnose a problem in your car. Jim Hess, the owner, has been called the 'Car Whisperer' by some because of his uncanny ability to discover the sources of leaks, noises, electrical issues, and mechanical breakdowns within minutes. I've been taking my 22 year old GM truck to him for the last 20 years and it runs exceptionally well for having 250,000 miles.

Thankful for Jim Hess, owner of Jim's Automotive in Renton, a true master mechanic. He fixed what we thought was a blown head gasket only to find out the engine was fine. It was the fuel injection central port injector unit. A $300 dollar part verses a $3000 to $4000 engine replacement. Thank you Jim for your honesty, talent and wisdom. We are truly grateful we brought our car to your shop.
