Awful customer service, put on online waitlist at 4:20 and initially said 30 minutes. Time kept increasing then when I got there at 5:45 they said they can’t give me a haircut because they are closing soon. Go somewhere else

I had a really frustrating experience at my local Great Clips today and feel like I need to share it. I booked my slot online like always and the system told me to wait 81 minutes. I checked back after 20 minutes and it dropped to 71 minutes, so I thought, okay, I'll get some chores done. Half an hour later, it suddenly says I'm up next, so I rush over there.But guess what? When I get there, my name isn't even on the list anymore, and they're telling me it's another 107 minutes wait! And the place was pretty much empty. They told me something about resetting their list for lunch break and how it's my fault for not showing up in 15 minutes – which totally didn't make sense. They didn't even try to help fix the issue or apologize.I even called up Great Clips' customer service, and they just passed the buck, saying it's the salon owner's problem, not theirs. But I think it's on both of them. The owner needs to teach their team some basic respect and customer care, especially when their system messes up. And Great Clips as a company should make sure their franchises can handle these things better.Just wanted to put this out there for anyone thinking of going to Great Clips. Both the salon and the company really let me down today.

We were at the Redmond Ridge (Novelty Hill, Redmond, Washington) Great Clips earlier to get four haircuts for our four boys. We walked in and the woman immediately to the left of the check-in desk seemed so incredibly annoyed to see us. She acted very put out and exasperated while checking us in--she always has a major chip on her shoulder. We had dealt with her a couple times before and figured we had caught her on bad days. I think every day is a bad day for her. When we requested that she cut all four of our boys' hair (despite her attitude and inferiority complex she does a better job than the other person working in the salon who can't cut in a straight line), she was SO patronizing, explaining how she was about to go on break, there was another person working that day who was a TEACHER and who would be just fine to cut our boys' hair, etc. Her tone was so condescending and her attitude made it very apparent that she does not like her job. The location is convenient, the haircuts are usually fine enough (I don't think they receive much education and you get what you pay for), but we will not go back. I'd recommend getting rid of her; she will not benefit your company in the long run.
