This is my kid's first KinderCare experience. I'll honestly summarize my impressions on KinderCare Puyallup. I also visited a few KinderCare centers in Ohio. Generally I am not impressed because all the KinderCare centers I visited are not clean or at least not good at cleaning. My kid was enrolled in this KinderCare center in September 2023 until Dec 26, 2023. Before this, my kid stayed in a Goddard in Ohio for less than two years.1. Unpleasant and unorganized environment (I care about this the most). The environment outside of the center, most obviously the parking lot and the area by the fences, is full of garbage. And it's always been like that. No one cleans it up. This is not just about Puyallup KinderCare, and all the KinderCare centers I visited are NOT clean. In terms of cleaning, Goddard is doing a way better job than KinderCare. The inside classroom also looks dirty and not organized.2. The teachers in Puyallup KinderCare center are generally fine. I like that for some days they take many photos so that I know what my kid was doing there in real time. Except this they seem not good at communicating with parents. For some days they don’t send us even a single photo. This was kind of dramatic/weird to me and I wondered what happened on such days. They didn’t explain why either. Kids enter the classroom in the morning and the teachers usually do not welcome kids and are usually busy doing their own things. In addition, they don't introduce themselves to us parents. Until my kid leaves the center, I only know one of the teachers' names, and I figured it out by myself because we tried to give the teachers gifts before Christmas. No one tells you who they are and what they do.3. Unprofessional photo taking. Another dramatic/weird thing I had experienced was that I often received a solo photo of someone else's kid and it was named as my kid’s. Again this "OFTEN" happened. One day, I received three photos in total. And you know what? I didn’t see my kid in any of all the three photos. I commented under one of the three photos. Since then, they seem to be trying to do better.4. The director of this center was fine and easy to communicate with at the beginning. When I let her know that my kid was leaving and when I could pick up my kid’s stuff, the only thing she cared about was the money for the last two weeks' tuition. She ignored my question about when I could pick up my kid’s stuff. My kid didn't go to the daycare for even one day from Dec 26, 2023 to Jan 9, 2024, but we still were demanded again and again to pay for these two weeks (I already paid for Dec 26-31, 2023 before the month of December). During these two weeks, every one of her emails was about the money we "owe" to her. I let her send me the contract but she ignored my email. After I re-requested it again and told her I would ask the KinderCare Board of Directors for more information if necessary, she said she didn't see my last email. She did see the balance of $353.02 for Jan 1-9, 2024 of my account.Generally, I don't recommend this KinderCare center. I wanted to give 1 star but I still appreciate some of the teachers so I am giving two stars here.

Potential Client Review. Not the worst experience but not great from an infant parent looking for care. Had a scheduled visit today, May 19, 2023 at this location because the first location scheduled (not the same) last Friday the Assistant Director was a no show and no one knew we had a scheduled tour. When I arrived at this location the person who answered the door (PWATD) was again confused about why I was at the building but after I told her I was there for my scheduled 1:30p tour she looked over at someone else (SE) and that person must have confirmed it. The PWATD then went back and forth with SE [right in front of me] to determine who was going to give the tour and PWATD decided she would since SE was busy with some arts and crafts. I ended up not taking the tour because although I knew they didn't have infant availability until Feb 24' I asked about a wait list and PWATD said there isn't one because the infant enrollment is filled with their staff babies up until then. Not a problem.I decided at that point not to continue with the tour since we are looking for care a bit sooner and I should have asked if they even had a waitlist in the first place. I'm new to infant care searching so this was on me. The one thing that bothered me is no one introduced themself when I walked in. The person who was originally going to give me the tour (assuming it was SE since PWATD kept asking her questions) was in the room and didn't acknowledge me or mention she was in fact the person I was messaging back and forth with. Though the PWATD was extremely polite my first impression of this location and second impression of KinderCare overall have not been great thus far and though this location looked promising the communication wasn't customer focused or inviting and I felt uncomfortable like I was bothering them when I walked in. Again, no one introduced themselves and there were at least 4 women in the room when I walked in. Not one person said hello, thanks for coming in, sorry it didn't work out, etc. When it comes to the basic customer service experience I think KinderCare as a whole lacks these skill trainings and it left me with a bad experience overall. Hope this not only helps new parents looking for infant care but also with maybe KinderCare updating their customer experience trainings. Unfortunately, we will be looking elsewhere for child care. Hopefully other potential parents get better service than we did.

One of my kids has an October birthday and missed the Kindergarten cut-off. I specifically looked at daycare/preK programs that had a full classroom settings and curriculum. This location exceeded my expectations and my child learned how to write all his letters, knows his letter sounds, and came home with a ton of new information from all the different lessons. He was more than prepared for kindergarten this year thanks to Kindercare! His younger brother is now in the PreK class and learning the same things! The teachers and directors here know my kids and have been essential in their learning and daily lives. We had one small issue (because 5 year olds are great communicators...) and it was followed up with right away. I highly recommend this location and have been happy with our decision.

I am very happy that my daughter is at this center! The staff are always friendly, communicative and always available to answer questions. My daughter is very selective on who she opens up to and since she has been at the center, she is more open to talking to others and has become more social. I can tell everyone at the center works together and all care about the kids.

My 4 year old has been going here for 2 months and there is not enough great words to describe the wonderful human beings that work here! My child was scared of school, but now looks forward to it because he gets to see his favorite teachers! They work so patiently and diligently on making sure every kid has a wonderful, productive, and fun learning experience.

The exceptional care, support, and love we've received from Puyallup KinderCare is unmatched in this arena. They are truly an extension of our family. It starts from the top with the Director, Courtney. She is warm, engaging, and remarkably responsive (especially when you consider how much she is juggling). We enrolled our girl in the toddler classroom and from day 1 she was thriving. We came from a different daycare where she would say every morning "I hate school" to her wanting to get out the door as quickly as possible to see her friends and teachers. Ms. Katy and Ms. Kathy are phenomenal teachers and successfully potty-trained our girl in a short time! We love this place so much that our 9 week old son is now enrolled as well. Can't say enough about how wonderful this team of childcare providers is!

My daughter has gone to this center since she was 12 weeks old and she is now 5 and attending kindergarten there. We also have a one year old son enrolled as well. I have all but positive things to say about all of the staff and our experience here! They have always taken excellent care of our children and are loving and supportive. It’s not just a daycare; it’s a place of learning and development too, which is why we’ve been enrolled for so long and plan to be until our son gets old enough to go to school. The management staff have been accommodating and supportive to our family’s needs over the years and for that we are so grateful! If you’re looking for not only a quality daycare but an educational environment for your kids, this is the place! We ❤️ KinderCare!

My daughter has been going to kinder care for a free years now. The directing staff and teachers are amazing. My daughter loves going to "school" everyday and always has so many stories to tell when I pick her up. Super friendly staff.

Puyallup KinderCare has been absolutely amazing. My child has been in attendance since he was 8 months old and he’s now a kinder. They are responsive and really care for the kids and families enrolled with them. They have taken every precautions during this time of Covid to keep a place of normalcy, consistency and a safe environment for the children. Don’t know what I would without them.

Ms. Courtney and her team have been nothing but amazing. They are always positive and my kids are excited to go everyday. I worked in childcare and have sent my oldest to a few...none have been as educational as this Kindercare. Watching my kids grow like they have has been such a blessing ?

Irritating that i have expressed my needs and wants for my child and still nothing is happening although they want to support what we are practicing at home with our children. Potty training, pacifiers habits are not being practiced emails are ignored through the portals and daily activities. No corresponding communication when messages are sent.

I started my oldest child here six years ago. I felt at ease and confident in this center to provide a quality learning environment for the most precious part of my life. Three years ago I trusted them again when I brought my youngest there starting at only nine weeks old. He has grown up in this center and talks about these teachers as thoug they are family.

Absolutely love this Kindercare. They have helped my son with so much of his development. Gave me lots of advice on different learning material. We moved from a different state and consider them our family here. Lori and her team are great !
