A lesser known medium, but encaustic painting is a lot of fun! I highly recommend Carrie's class! I've been a painter for many years, so this was a surprise to experience something new. There's a lot of depth and luster with the way the wax holds light. The colors she has to work with are so earthy and beautiful. I would love to go again!

I highly recommend Carrie's classes in encaustic. I have taken many and have learned so much! Carrie is a brilliant teacher, but also patient and supportive of each artist and their individual style. She knows how to bring out the best in her students. I have also witnessed het teaching children and they love her!

This is a beautiful gallery with gorgeous paintings, and lots of actually very affordable smaller art pieces. The lady behind the desk was friendly and helpful. A great stop for art lovers (especially if you love birds).

Carrie is incredibly talented. I have personally enjoyed her artwork for years. I also follow her on social media, where she often gives her followers a glimpse behind the scenes as she creates her masterpieces. The Carrie Gollar Gallery has become a landmark in Poulsbo where we all look forward to admiring all she has on display. She also features other local artists. I highly recommend visiting her gallery while in Poulsbo!

Carrie's private class was very informative and interesting! She is enuthastic to teach in-depth painting techniques; how to properly use materials; how to generate painting ideas and how to correctly hang and display your artwork.

This last weekend three of my best girlfriends and I did an art class with Carrie. Carries art studio was amazing with beautiful views. Carrie was warm, inviting, and so much fun. She did a water color lesson with us and we learned a new technique with wax. She was patient with us, so helpful and I can't wait to go back. Carrie is the best and it was the best art class I have taken.

Carrie's private class was very informative and interesting! She is enuthastic to teach in-depth painting techniques; how to properly use materials; how to generate painting ideas and how to correctly hang and display your artwork. Carrie is a warm and caring art instructor who truly cares about the success of her students. She really wants her students to excel by first giving a detailed lesson on how to create a master pieces from start to finish before painting. Also, she is willing to jump in and help with any challenges that arise during the painting process. In addition, she is very approachable if any questions come up during the lesson or painting portion. Lastly, she is able to help you properly hang your work. I highly recommend Carrie's lessons! She is at the top of her craft; willing to meet anyone at their artistic ability level; and truly wants her students to walk out the door feeling proud of their work.

This gallery has a consistently interesting selection of artwork. Carrie herself does some amazing work (my favorites are still her paintings of cows!) in a variety of media, and is always happy to answer questions about art, Poulsbo, etc. She also tends to have pieces to fit a range of budgets. Definitely worth a visit!

A great little art gallery - there were some really amazing paintings of Washington landscapes. Even though I couldn't get an original I did get a print! Glad that I stopped in.

Well I am shocked to see a negative review for this gallery! I've been in a number of times and have always been greeted with pleasant staff. They have always been friendly and knowledgeable. Never pushy, only helpful. I own a few of Carrie Goller's originals which I love. I have Pucci, the giant Tulip and the Encaustic Cuervo IX both of which I cherish. I also have some signed Max Hayslette posters. I highly recommend visiting this gallery. See for yourself what a lovely staff they have. Don't use someone's misunderstanding as a guide.
