Our cat had to have emergency surgery to remove a linear foreign object from her stomach and intestines. After getting a surgery quote of between $7.5k and $18.5k from an emergency vet in Lynnwood, WA, we drove quickly here on a recommendation for a more cost friendly option. They completed the surgery right away and for less $$ than the lower end of the quote of the other emergency veterinary office. The staff was kind, and the office was clean. What a relief to have our girl healthy again. So glad we didn't jump to any rash decisions based on the crazy high quote from the other emergency vet.

Dr. Martin and her team were very helpful during a stressful time. Would recommend if you have an issue that needs immediate attention.

they told me it would be 4 to 5 hours before I could see a vet but the were much quicker and I got to wait in my car these people made the hardest time in my life bearable great and compassionate people and it was so will worth the 300 dollars for her ashes can't thank you enough And the gave me an estate and let me choose what I wanted to do and they were 300 less than they quoted the care about the pets and there parents than over charge you like other pet emergency in Bellingham thanks guys

*update** well we have now been here three times total and I can’t say enough good things about this vet. 10/10 highly recommend. They are kind and honest and do the very best they can. Yes I’ve had to sit hours waiting, that’s going to happen no matter where you go. I see a lot of negative reviews regarding wait time and that’s unfortunately the world we live in these days, veterinarians are one of the highest in the medical field for suicide and there just aren’t enough vets that exist anymore.
I had a GREAT experience last night with my sick puppy. Very quick and kind phone call to reassure me that yes I should probably bring her in and easy check in/triage system. Puppy was seen quickly, suggestions were made to diagnose the problem, things were done quickly and we were out the door for far less $ than I’d been preparing myself for. Birdie says thank you ❤️

This place is wonderful: caring, professional, and thorough. They are honest about wait times and have a spacious, well equipped waiting room. I’ve been extremely grateful for the care every time I’ve had to bring in a very sick or injured pet.

Great service! Very prompt with helping our dog get the help she needs. Was in and out in under 2 hours for stitches w/ anesthesia after businesses hours. Hands down the best experience at an emergency vet I have ever had!

My diabetic cat went into a hyperglycemic episode and started having seizures. My regular vet recommended this place so I rushed there. Due to a crash on the freeway I almost didn't make it, and walked through the doors with what I thought was my already passed cat.
The way the staff here jumped to triage my cat immediately was amazing and they were able to pull her through! They were kind, professional, and so empathetic the entire time. When I didn't qualify for the credit opportunities they worked with me to bring down the bill as much as possible which really helped me. They also gave me a spray which helped her rid of a rash I've been trying to clear with her vet for MONTHS. When she had to stay overnight they told me to call anytime throughout the night if I wanted an update. When I arrived the next day I was met with my sweet girl looking like herself and it was amazing.
This place is not cheap, but it is absolutely worth it. These people work all through the night to be there for your pets and they save lives. Thank you all so much!

I took my 4 year old Shih Tzu for a sore elbow, got her X-rayed. Determined she needed some anti inflammatory meds. 3 days later she’s so sick she can barely walk. Took to her and her meds to another vet. That vet determined that she was poisoned by the meds this very gave to her. Had to have her put down within a week! This place poisoned my dog and killed her. The response from them was… things happen. I would strongly recommend another clinic! One with morals and experience!

Compassionate, kind, and attentive are all understatements for the care my dog, my 12 year old, and I received at this facility. Unfortunately at this visit, I had to put my dog down. I made the decision to cremate him. The package I received when picking up his ashes went above and beyond my expectations. The attention to detail and giving our family all of the things that we don't think about in the moment of grief was so perfect. I received his ashes in a beautiful wooden box, a lock of his fur, a giant plaque with his paw print (he was a Great Dane so it's pretty big), a name plate, flower seeds, a beautiful card, and more.
This visit happened in June, and I am just now able to write this review. The loss has been so painful. However, because they thought of everything that I couldn't in that moment, we will have him forever.
The staff here is amazing. They care about your animal AND you.

All the staff were very friendly and the clinic was clean and nice. The vet took the time to talk to me about diagnosis and treatment plan and was thorough in reviewing things. The staff were all great. The care was good and my dogs are recovering and I am grateful they were there. I suspect they are drastically understaffed with vets, which leads to my complaints about the experience. My dogs were in pretty tough shape after a suspected toxin ingestion. I told them to do whatever they needed to do and I approved all treatments and tests, but the doctor told me they would not do any treatment or tests until an estimate was approved (clinic policy). It took them over an hour to provide the estimate because another case came in and I think there was only one doctor. I was so worried thinking my dogs were getting worse because it was taking so long and they weren't getting tests or treatment. Then, after the tests and treatment were completed, the doctor came in to run through the findings and said I could take the dogs home. It took another 90 minutes to discharge me because the doctor was busy and they said it could not be done by phone later when she was done. Eventually, someone other than the doctor came in and read the discharge summary the doctor wrote to me word for word, which I could have done on my own to leave earlier. Even though my dogs were taken back right away, and the treatments were relatively short (bloodwork, x-rays, and an oral medication and a shot), we were there for about 5 hours. It took 3 days and 3 phone calls to get their medical records.
It was expensive (about $1150/dog), but it's an emergency vet, so that's not unexpected. Overall, this place would probably be 4-5 stars if they had more staff so the waits for treatment and updates wasn't so long, but I think that's a challenge in veterinary medicine in general right now.

If I could give 0 I would. I live on Whidbey island so this is like an hour drive off island. I get there and they triage my dog as stable, which fine I get the whole triage thing, however I was told I could go get food and come right back which I did. I sat there for 3 hours I called and was told there was 5 ahead of me, okay why was I told to come right back after getting food? I waited 2 more hours and called again to be told the same thing, 5 ahead and another 3 or more hours wait, why would they have not told me to just head home and wait for a call? Why make me sit in the car for 5 hours and it still would’ve been another 3+ hours of waiting had I not asked of a time estimate. It’s very inconsiderate to have made me and my dog who live an hour away, got there at 530-545 pm check in and be told to get food and come right back instead of being realistic and transparent and saying hey it’s going to be 8+ hours before we see you head home and we will call you.10/10 do not recommend as there isn’t transparency and consideration for those who don’t live near.
