My family (from MN), got stuck in town after our car broke down. They got us in ASAP and had amazing hospitality with us and my little one while we were waiting! We’re very thankful.

Well, I am Ajit Parmar and had a car breakdown and a friend recommended this workshop, they repaired the Starting issue in just a couple of hours despite they had a busy schedule. I was impressed and ended up giving my other car Jetta too for a service.
Excellent people, do stretch to accommodate your needs and the best part is fair on cost of repairs.
Thanks Team MotorWorks

After being told my Jeeps transmission was leaking at another shop and they didn't want to do a transmission. They changed the oil. I called Motorworks for a complete look over. They were able to fit me in fairly quick.
They looked it over and found that was not the issue at all. They also noted it's battery was starting to fail. They were very good with communicating. The time frame to fix as well as the cost. I feel they saved me money and time to repair or replace a transmission that didn't need it. I will definitely go here again and recommend them. Communication key! Nice place Nice people

About a year ago I had an aftermarket clutch, flywheel and front sway bar installed on my 18 civic si. I bought the parts myself and for that reason most shops around the Bellingham area were unwilling to perform the work. Motorworks Northwest however was much more sensible and so they got my business. This shop was quite upfront about the process and performed the work quite quickly. A year on I still have no problems with the vehicle and would recommend this shop to anyone.

RE: 2010 Ford Explorer. Brake calipers not sticking. This was verified not only by myself but by one of the best guys in the repair business. Shifter also not beyond repair. Replaced shifter cable (it was actually just the bushing) and shift interlock solenoid, and that shifter is still in the car and operating as it should. Original repair declined due to ford having shifter assembly on forever backorder. Never asked for diagnosis on blend door motor or blower motor. We were already aware of that and have since fixed.

This is the place for auto problems, hands down. Ken and his son replaced my 68 malibu engine in the 80'S and it never failed. Now update. i had my 1991 gmc sierra towed in started problems etc. In and out within a day. Runs like a champ. Then ! I blew a water pump on my 2008 charger, limped it in. Ken looked at it was done within 2 days. Ken and his wife know cars ! My big plus is for the techs. Thanks guys !! Pizza is on its way.

**Read to the End** - Came in for a diagnosis to find out why my car wouldn't start and over heated. They find out it was a bad thermostat and decided to put it in without prior approval. So automatically had to pay for that, an oil change, and coolant. Found out I needed a new clutch, timing belt with water pump (my dad had to ask them about this, they never recommended) valve covers/gaskets, and to resurface/replace my flywheel. They don't even have the machine to do any resurfacing/replacement for the flywheel. Teri in the front told me it's about $100-150 to get it resurfaced, and that there is one shop in Burlington and one in Marysville that does that. Once I saw the $3,000 repair price I knew I was getting ripped off. The first mechanic shop I went to in Northwest Washington was Transmission Outlet. I decided to get their opinion on this quote and see if they could do it at a better price. Found out that Transmission Outlet is the one that has the machine for flywheels and quoted me $20 to resurface mine. From a $100-150 price quote from Motorworks Northwest to $20 from the Transmission Outlet is a significant difference. Once I went to pick up my car for the little work that was done, costed me $408. I checked all my liquid levels of the car to make sure my car was topped off like they said and my coolant was way under the low line in the overflow tank. I went in to asked Teri if they topped off the coolant or if they just added it to the radiator and if the coolant was in between the levels when they filled it the 1st time. Just to make sure there isn't a coolant leak. Ken responded, "Are you not happy with the service we provided? You are a Karen. The overflow tank is not meant to be full it's meant for the coolant to go back and forth." I was shocked I just got spoken to like that from an owner. I know exactly what the overflow is for and there is two lines on the tank that says low and full, and extra space in the tank for the overflow. Then once Teri walked back in from asking the mechanics the questions I had, Ken went back to the computer. Teri told me they don't know the answers to my questions and they are going to top off the coolant. I went to walk outside and here goes Ken talking about me, so I turned around and corrected him. I was simply asking a question to make sure there isn't a leak on my car and where the coolant line was at when they added coolant. Good thing I double checked, and always do since a lot of mechanics burn holes in people pockets. Honestly never had an issue with this place besides it being way to expensive and once Ken went off on me for asking a couple questions about the coolant. If a customer has a question it's polite to give or get an answer when your performing a service on a piece of property, either it be a car/house/equip etc. - On a side note, I own a convertible and they decided to diagnose my top, windows, door handles, and interior/exterior of my car that I never asked for or knew they did. They rolled down all my windows yesterday, while parked in the lot and were down until I called them today to pick up my car. Yesterday my car was the only car in the lot that had its windows down, so right there I felt like I wasn't getting treated the same as the other vehicles. They explained they do this so the key doesn't get locked inside. I noted to them to not lock my car at anytime due to no key fobs in the door handles before I brought the car in. When I noticed my car in the lot yesterday to receive the quote on repair, they were completed with their inspection long before, and windows still down. - Safe to say, I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone. Go to Transmission Outlet their service is 100% better and prices are 100% better, especially knowing your getting taken care of fully and professionally like all the other customers. Also if you want great service even when your just asking a simple question even though it might be simple/dumb, DO NOT GO TO MOTOR WORKS NORTHWEST.
