My brother suggested this venue because he'd been to a wedding here and couldn't stop thinking about it. I cannot express how happy I am that I got married here. Not only was it gorgeous, but Karen, who manages weddings, was incredibly kind and helpful. I can't recommend it enough.

The Lake Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful place to have a wedding with lots of parking, and things like tables and chairs available on site. We had our wedding in August, and we enjoyed spectacular weather with a view of Mt. Rainier across the lake as well. I give the Lodge 4 stars, however, because of the elements about the venue rental that make the real cost much higher than advertized for little apparent justification. Firstly, additional hours are over $450+ per hour (depending on season and day) even though no other events are taking place that day, and you are only allowed to set up during your purchased block. Thus, if you pay for 6 hours, you realistically need to use at least 2 of those hours for setting up, and then you need 1 hour at the end to tear down, leaving 3 hours for the event itself. Don't even try asking for a special accommodation like setting up the night prior -- the rules and prices are set by the City of Maple Valley are have no flexibility whatsoever. The lodge also does not have anything like tablecloths or chair covers, so you will need to purchase or rent those. Furthermore, there are a number of things that strangely cost extra, like a $100 fee to use the projector that is already built into the wall or $50 to use one of their on-site decor elements just stored in a closet. No flame candles are allowed for decor at all, no real flowers or foliage unless they are in water, no rice or bubbles for a grand exit, and no using the kitchen for any cooking / boiling / grilling. Remember that these restrictions on the warming kitchen also mean that any catering you hire needs to cook all the food off-site and bring it all pre-made, which can also add other costs. If you have a strong preference for a certain color theme, keep in mind that the carpet, walls, and padded chairs are more designed for business meetings, so greys, beige, and browns (as of Aug 2023) are the dominant room color you need to work with or cover up. The Lodge is also a decent distance from lodging accommodations, so you will likely need to organize transportation for guests. If you are less concerned about the costs and are planning to be intentional about decor, this is a really nice place. If costs are a big concern, however, I would recommend being sober about all the additional costs that add up for this venue.

Absolutely stunning views! And a beautiful staircase in the middle of their super big lodge that has wonderfully large windows so you can appreciate the views! The staff here go above and beyond and create a welcoming environment, all while wearing contagious smiles. Large meeting rooms with a great view of the lake and Mt. Rainier. They also have an art gallery with amazing talent! Was in awe of the skills and creativity of the artists. Check out the samples I included with the pictures! The tags to the left of the artwork are who created each art!I was just here for a business meeting, so I am unable to give too much more input. This would be a great place for a wedding and wedding photos, prom photos, or a picnic. Frisbee golf course up here as well. I saw people paddle boarding on the lake and they have wonderful nature trails. You won’t be disappointed if you come check it out!

Our son and daughter in law were married here the end of July. The venue was perfect in beauty, location and help from employees. The grounds are gorgeous and Mt Rainier was out in all her glory. The only tiny issue was the outdoor microphone wasn’t working so only those of us in the front rows could hear the vows. We should have put more effort into checking that issue! Everything else was perfect. Plenty of parking, private area, large facility. A wonderful wedding venue.

We had our wedding at Lake Wilderness Lodge and we were so happy with how everything turned out! The venue itself is gorgeous and offers great facilities for both indoor and outdoor weddings. When looking at comparable venues, the Lodge is reasonably priced and still offers a lot of flexibility. The staff were friendly and were very helpful leading up to and during the wedding day. They put in extra effort in the final days leading up to our Spring wedding to ensure the venue was ready in the way we wanted it for our wedding. We got lucky on our day of and were able to have our ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors, per our plan, but we also had backup plans in place with the lodge that they were ready to help implement if the weather didn't turn out well. The air conditioning inside also helped us and our guests stay cool on what turned out to be a beautiful, warm day! We received a lot of great feedback from our guests about how much they enjoyed the venue and about how beautiful it was. We're so happy we chose Lake Wilderness Lodge for our wedding!

Lake Wilderness Lodge was an amazing place for our wedding this past spring. The price was very reasonable compared to other venues we considered, and as soon as we toured the grounds (both inside the lodge and outside near the lake), we were sold! Karin was wonderful to work with during the planning stage, and she quickly answered any questions we had. We were able to hold our ceremony on the lawn near the lake with their wedding arch that you can rent. The staff also set up the ceremony chairs outside and the reception tables and chairs inside for us and were super friendly and accommodating the entire day. The arboretum next to the lodge was also the most magical place for us to take our couples portraits after the ceremony. We also loved the reception area, with the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows serving as a backdrop for our head table. All-in-all, we loved our the venue and would recommend it to anyone planning a wedding near Maple Valley. :)

We held a babyshower in the Wilderness Room and thoroughly enjoyed the space. The view out to the lake was beautiful from the room. Karin and the rest of the staff were warm and friendly. We were also very happy with the reasonably priced rental fee for 5 hours. Definitely would recommend this space.
