Scott and Dixie Edwards are amazing humans. Both times I’ve gone to shop, Scott has take over an hour of his time to walk me around his very cool operation explaining propagation techniques and best practices for planting and growing local natives. And basically answering any question I asked with enthusiasm. If you’re looking for pretty retail displays go to your local big box store. If you want something off the beaten path and are ready to get your shoes muddy while talking to knowledgeable experts this is your place.

This place is absolutely fabulous. The owner is also focus on assistance with marshes and wetlands restoration. They offer vegetables and cuttings of greens that you can subscribe to annually or monthly such an excellent opportunity. Imagine the food that you cook that evening was clipped that day. Very nice and very helpful. I was looking for some ferns and I purchased 25 I also got some nursery containers that is only sold occasionally. I definitely plan on being a part of their cooperative so I can get fresh greens picked locally by a local business

I spent hours calling everyone trying to find a peach tree and this place was the only place who had one! Good prices. Such a beautiful location, and so kind employees. Shop local and support this place. I’ll be coming here for all my future plants!

Scott and Bonnie, the owners, are both very friendly and helpful people. They have a huge selection of native plants at very competitive prices. I've already made several trips there in the past couple months getting plants to revegetate my recently purchased property and I will keep bringing them my business. Although their website might not say it, they don't have retail hours during the winter months but if you call or email them through their website you can set up an appointment.

This nursery is worth its weight in gold just for one plant- the madrona, which you can hardly ever find in regular nurseries in the Portland area, even though they are native to the area and grow well here. Other plants I have gotten at WGW are vine maples and flowering currants. The prices are great, even the retail price. This is an EXCELLENT nursery.

Awesome customer service. I needed native plants for a wetland mitigation plan. I emailed them to see that they had everything in stock. I called fairly last minute and they were able to put together all 150 plants I needed the same day. Not only did they have everything I needed in one place, but they also had smaller plants available making the price much less than their competition.

Called yesterday multiple times and they didn't answer the phone. We decided to drive down there since it was during their open hours. No one was around. The gate was locked. Nothing posted about winter hours. I don't even know if this place us still in business, but I couldn't get in contact with anyone or figure out why I couldn't get in at 1:00pm on a Tuesday.
