Got a part I needed but very much inflated prices, just because they can.. (50% higher than the listed price on the mazda website)

Went in for a regular oil change with a promised time of one to one and a half hours, but ended up stuck there for three hours. My day is ruined, and all they said was, "Sorry, it's a madhouse today." Don't expect timely service.

Purchased a MX-5 from them in June. The purchase experience was nothing special. Slow on paperwork, but friendly about test driving etc. I knew what I was looking for so there wasn't a lot of need for info or salesmanship, but they let me do my thing which I appreciated. During the purchase paperwork they offered a lot of add-on insurances and services and warranties. They weren't super pushy on it, but definitely told me some misinformation about how my car was going to cost a minimum of $2000 if I had anything break on it etc. so it would pay for itself on my first repair. No big deal, this is getting to be fairly common, and I just said no to all of it. After I bought the vehicle I waited for my license plates to arrive. Then waited more. Then more. I called multiple times and was given the same response about Washington State taking a long time. Then eventually I was told that someone had messed up on the odometer reading on the paperwork and I'd have to come in to fix this. I asked if I could do this at the Lake City location because the Kirkland location was about a 45 minute drive each way instead of a 10 minute drive. They told me that they actually didn't need me to sign anything actually and it would be taken care of. Another few weeks went by and I started calling them regularly again, lots of transfers, lots of sending me to the finance and license departments and lots of me leaving voicemails which never got returned. It's now September 28th and I still don't have my license plates for a vehicle I purchased June 19th. I did just get verification that they did just receive the plates from the state. Though one person told me they arrived yesterday, and the other person told me they have been there "awhile" and told me I had probably just missed their call to me.... Given that the paperwork I was given says Washington issues the plates Sept 18th means they can't have been there awhile, because the plates would take a few days just to get to the dealership from the licensing agency. All told I believe I'll FINALLY have my plates after 3 months. More frustrating than the timeframe was the constant treatment like I was just being impatient and bugging them when I just wanted an update. I didn't even call them until a month after I bought the car. Then a few weeks later I called twice and emailed. Then finally in the last month I've called maybe 6-8 times. This was not my fault for missing a call. This was 100% their fault for lack of communication, no apologies for the delay, and really no one being kind. All customers deserve respect, honesty, and kindness, and I feel I have not received that most of the time from them. If anything they have purposefully given me false information, spent time gaslighting me, or passed blame onto the government rather than owning up to their own mistakes. At least I love the car.

Evening before I was to take my car in for major service I got an email saying my appt was canceled. I had arranged rides, work off etc. Super frustrating. Mazda dealerships in Washington suck balls.

We were looking for a used BMW i3 and had the pleasure of working with Michael N. at Lee Johnson Mazda. He was attentive and helpful with the questions we had about the car. His authentic personality and interest in electric cars were a plus! Michael did a good job of following up and facilitating communication with the finance department during negotiations over the price (even on his day off). We ended up buying the car; the paperwork portion of the transaction went smoothly and quickly. We are pleased with the entire experience.

I had a great experience purchasing my new car at Lee Johnson Mazda. Buying a car can be quite stressful , especially in today's market. I reached out to several dealerships before I made my purchase at Lee Johnson Mazda. Tim Johnson was my first point of contact and he kept in touch with me during my car search but never made me feel pressured. When I walked in to the store, they were all friendly even though it was a busy weekend with lots of customers. The entire team made the process of purchasing my car painless and simple. How often do you get in and out of the dealership in less than 3 hours purchasing a new car? And more than half that time was me test driving. Great place, great team. I would recommend this dealership and ask for Tim Johnson. He was 10 out of a 10. He even Put a red bow on my car before I left and of course filled up has tank

I have always had great experiences with the service department at Lee Johnson Mazda; I drive past multiple Mazda dealerships to get there from my house but I make a point to have all of my service done there. About a week ago I had an experience that was pretty subpar, but I called the service manager and they made it right. Once my part arrived, they fit me in right away at a day and time that was convenient for me, got the service done quickly, and accommodated a fairly pain-in-the-ass request from me after the service was complete. Thanks for restoring my faith in your service department, Scott and Mackenzie!

It was an awesome experience at the Mazda parts department. The gentleman at the counter was knowledgeable, professional, and had the best attitude. Love the environment!

Rude and dismissive customer service. They screwed up a simple tire repair and would not take the time to have another look at it cause "they are busy with other customers".

Don't pay with Credit Card unless you want to pay 3% more. I've taken our Mazda here since it was purchased new. Service has been anywhere between okay to borderline unacceptable, occasionally not rotating tires when they said they did, etc. Lately they have started to charge a 3% surcharge for credit cards which is a line too far.

Went there to pickup my license plate and get a car wash at the same time, they told me they would put on the plates for me so i told them to place my car plate frame which i left on the dashboard so they wouldn't forget. I got the car back after half an hour or so and not only did they not attach my car plate frame but they also removed my "student driver" sticker at the rear of the car. Absolutely terrible experience. Don't go here for any car service.

Service at a dealership is always at a premium cost. You know that going in. (Which is why I rarely do it). But usually the premium costs come with perks of things going extra smoothly. Something that most mom and pop shops can't do. But when I went to pay with a credit card they let me know that there would be a 3% fee is I used my credit card. So not only would the service be (which was 1/10th the cost of what I paid for the car) but the extra fee for the credit card was just ridiculous. They also indicated my service appointment would be 1.5 hours and it took all day. Only at 5:00 did they let me know the service was complete which left me little time to find a ride before their 6pm closing. Perhaps they delay service to permit more people to utilize their in store cafe? I have heard of many dealerships providing snack but this one charges you for snacks from their i store cafe. Just tacky all around.

Ask for Angelo Ovena. I just purchased my car few weeks ago. I was on the hunt looking for CX-30 as it's hard to find one that's available soon, and I'm in contact in between dealership and end up with Lee Johnson. The customer service is great, Angelo is always keeping me updated about the status of my car and is always available for questions. I definitely recommend this place!
