We rented the Crystal Mountain room for a surprise 90th birthday for our mom. After an initial misunderstanding, which was resolved, we booked the room. The location was easy for all attendees to find, the staff were gracious and helpful. The added kitchen was a must for our event! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the party and gave the facility rave reviews. Thank you so much to the Commons and staff for making this event so memorable for our mom!

Great place for many events. We come here often for art classes. Go to Kent Rec & Parks website to find out what is currently being offered. Or grab one of the catalogs available at the center.

The BECP Gem and wellness show was hosted here this year. Great vender turn out for this event! Dozens of booths to peruse in this space. A very good selection of semiprecious gems and stones to choose from.I was very impressed with the size of the event which pretty much required the entire building.aside from stone the venue offered tarot readings, aura readings and a very in depth finger and palm analysis booth. Really insightful and accurate to say the least. Enjoyed the experience so much that I went both days. We’re looking forward to seeing it again next year. You should too.

I have been playing in a women's volleyball league for 3 years now. The management of this league is the worst I've ever seen. Communication is lacking on all levels...the mama gets are rude and disrespectful. They don't have correct knowledge of the rules of volleyball and have added non regulation rules that no volleyball league(professional, college, etc) follows. The refs they hired are unintelligent and again...don't know the correct rules of volleyball. The league price is cheap but I'm not sure how much longer I'll play there.

Make sure if you sign your children up for sports you get your money’s worth, the head people are so rude, unprofessional, communication sucks and when you voice your concerns it seems like they’re money hungry and their “volunteers” are never in the wrong. My first and last time ever allowing my child to be apart of Kent Parks. And it sucks because I live in the community, but for this to be my first experience ever it was horrible. The reps do not care about your feelings or if your money is wasted, my child even cried because of the experience at a practice and all the head reps at Kent Parks yelled at me and said “what do you want me to do” and “I can’t go back and fix mistakes hopefully it changes in the future” like seriously. Just sad!
People take your child somewhere else or waste your money, your choice.

This, I believe, is a local gem and one of Kent's best kept secrets.I didn't discover this until the third year I live in Kent, but now I go here almost every week, sometimes more. It is a safe place. Have several different rooms small and large enough to commodate events or tournaments of any kind such as basketball, volleyball etc. Upstairs are raquetball courts. There is always something going on, and you can check the calendar for activities and scheduled events. Some are free, and if there is a fee, it is usually very affordable.
There is a small gym, with locker rooms and showers. The gym, you can pay per visit, or monthly for $16. I love it because it
suits my needs and budget instead of paying for a more expensive gym memberships that requires a contract. The facility is always very clean and well maintained.
