My husband and I brought our two-year-old cat here when he was around 6 months to get neutered, and they seem to do a good job. However, my other cat passed away and we got a kitten to keep the two year old company, when we called this place to schedule the kitten.Being neutered at his six month point, i informed the front desk here that my other cat had passed away. And they just said "okay." I've never come across someone at a pet clinic, being so cold with something as heartbreaking as the news of an animal passing away. We made the appointment for the kitten to be neutered, but now canceled with them for other circumstances. We are happy with the job. They did with our other cat, but the lack of humanity over the news over other cat passing was a huge turn off. We ended up canceling the appointment for the kitten, because we will be moving, and I thought, I'd share our story on how our experience went with this place.

I'm so disappointed when I went to see them. I had 3 orphaned kittens that I was caring for and had concerns. Well after just a few minutes he comes out and says I looked at them and they seem fine. I even mentioned again that the kitten seemed to be having problems eating. Well she died the next day. I even asked the staff about the bottle nipples if it mattered what kind I used and if there was a better one or if it mattered. I got I don't think it should matter and
shouldn't make a difference. You would think for a $160 for just a few minutes I could have at least got more support and assistance/tips with feeding or something. Been able to talk to the vet. I got more help talking to the Kent animal shelter then this vet!!!

**Review for Dr Nagra at Pet Clinic of Kent
I cannot speak highly enough about the care and compassion provided by Dr. Nagra and the entire team at A Pet Clinic of Kent. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Dr. Nagra the time to thoroughly examine my pup and patiently answered all of questions, making sure we felt confident in the care plan.
The level of attention to detail and personalized care we received was exceptional. Dr Nagra, so quick to return my calls and keep me updated on my dog’s status. He has great hours and open on Saturdays.
Whether it's a routine check-up or a more serious health concern, I know that my furry family member is in the best hands with Dr. Nagra. I highly recommend A Pet Clinic of Kent to anyone looking for top-notch veterinary care delivered with heart and expertise.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for all the care and effort you put into saving our cat Tiger. He was very loved and the fact that you opened a space in your busy schedule to see him due to the emergency, it was very much appreciated. He passed away yesterday at 5am. He will be missed. Thank you for all you did for him.

I've been going here for over 10 years highly recommend this veterinarian. You won't get all the fancy bells and whistles but you get really high quality care and good prices.

A Pet Clinic of Kent has been an absolutely critical lifeline for me - they’ve helped enable me to care for my two elderly cats (both of whom developed cancer late in life, one who passed last September) and give them the best life I can. Compared to other places I’ve taken them over the last decade, their prices are dramatically lower and from all I’ve seen the quality of care is not lower.
The primary caveat I think worth calling out is that communication is not their strongest point. You will need to make sure you are proactive and understand what to expect, what you need to do, etc. - otherwise it can all go by a little quick. I get the sense they genuinely care for the animals they help but that dealing with people and considering the sorts of communication issues and emotional readiness may not come as naturally.
The biggest example was when it was time to put Simba down I wish I had been given detailed info on exactly what to expect during the procedure before hand and that I had been directed to pick out his urn before ever stepping foot in the clinic. I was already exhausted on several axes when I arrived and the confusion of having to make a decision while taking in information and not knowing that there was some urgency after setting up the IV all led to me feeling rushed (which is on me) and agreeing to move forward. I didn’t realize it would take literally 0.25 seconds for Simba to go from alive and there with me to completely gone - somehow I had it in my mind it took time to set in. As such I wasn’t mentally present in his final moments there with him.
All this said, I am still giving a 5 star rating b/c outside of this they were critical in diagnosing Simba and helping me prepare and understand how severe his condition is and what to expect (my explicit asking likely helped), and I was able to give him a send off in his final weeks that dramatically helped blunt the pain from his death and make it much easier to cope. Now they’re helping me with Baxter. And importantly the whole way even though I’ve spent thousands at this point they’ve made this level of care within reach for me because if I’d gone else where I would have very very likely paid tens of thousands instead which is not feasible for me.
So long story short, thank you so much for being there. Despite the flaws I’ve mentioned I deeply appreciate the service and care you provide me and many others in this area.
[EDIT] Since writing this I’ve taken Baxter in a few more times and he had to have one major surgery. In that time I’ve seen noticeable improvements in the quality of communication from them. It’s not perfect but I see a genuine effort on their part - particularly the head vet. I feel it worth calling out here - it’s noticed and appreciated!

This clinic, most likely permanently, injured my cat. I brought her there almost 2 months ago to get her teeth cleaned. When I got her back, later that day, she was limping very noticably on her back right leg. Her leg was bent at an abnormal angle and she could no longer jump onto furniture or walk well. Right out of the carrier she was like this when we got home from the procedure. I called the office and brought her in to see Dr. Nagra. He said that she may have been injured when he was pulling her out of her carrier as she tried to bite him. This was an immediate red flag. I have had many cats and a frightened feline trying to bite a vet is common. If something happened and she was injured, I should have been notified of this when I picked her up. Regardless, her "trying to bite him" does not justify or explain the placement or extent of her injury. He gave me some pain meds and said he would give her an x-ray if she didn't get better. Well, after 3 visits, 10 days of pain meds, and multiple X-rays, that he reluctantly did, I was told that there is nothing wrong with my cat--who is still limping and can't walk properly 7 weeks later. I have had to set up steps for her around my house as she falls off my bed and couch trying to jump up there. My cat was totally HEALTHY before I took her to Dr. Nagra for a routine teeth cleaning. I did finally get a $175 refund from the $600 that I paid him, but he didn't want to give me any money. He stated, and this is a direct quote, "me giving you this money is not me accepting fault for my mistake." Bottom line: Dr. Nagra does not care about your pet. He showed absolutely no empathy for my cat and never once apologized to me. Beyond the injury itself, which is already completely unacceptable, the way this was handled is unprofessional. I went to him for over 10 years with 3 pets of my own and 2 fosters, btw. I was a very loyal customer. Not any more! Stay away!!!!!!!

Absolutely the best veterinarian I have found in Kent. Dr. Nagra has saved my cat three times now. Quick appointments, the most knowledgeable and efficient place and the only place I trust to take care of my fur babies.
