This is the closest post office to my home so it is my local go-to for all USPS services. I have found the staff to be cheerful, pleasant, efficient and they always take the extra time to help me with my packages. I really appreciate the friendly personalized service.

Elizabeth and Giovani are two of the sweetest people and postal workers ever. It's always a pleasure to go in to the counter and chat with them, and they have been nothing but helpful with all of my shipping, receiving, and postal needs. Shocked to see all the bad reviews; be nice to your local postal workers and they will be nice to you!

Picking up my mail for my family has never been so annoying. The lady that’s usually there shouldn’t be in customer service. Idk her name and I don’t care if she sees this, she’s straight up rude and needs to be fired.

Disclaimer: I'm aware I'm in the wrong for not putting down a PO Box number when shipping to a PO Box. Be aware that if you also make that mistake, your package will be returned to sender, and quickly. That said:The shorter lady is quite rude. I made the mistake of not putting down a PO box number (I never default to USPS shipping, and always will pay to avoid it). I arrived minutes after I got the notification it had arrived and she insisted on lecturing me about the PO number, withholding my package until she was done. I understand the message, but dang you need to refine your people skills. Terrible customer service. Avoid like the plague.

Experienced a rude almost aggressive employee. She had my package and refused to check for the package. I eventually retrieved it from a much nicer mail carrier. It was a pretty awful exchange from her.

I know it is weird to review a post office because I don't think people go looking for post office reviews. But on the off chance that they come across this one I want to make sure they know what they are in for. I live equidistant from two post offices so depending on how I am feeling I will go to one or the other. I typically like going to the one in Indianola vs Kingston because it is a prettier drive and cute quite little place. But yesterday when I went in I had an awful experience. I immediately could tell the lady behind the counter was in an extremely bad mood. And she was taking it out in everyone else. Every customer that came up to her seemed like the biggest inconvenience to her and they all left feeling a bit grumpy them selves I'm sure. Then it was my turn, in an effort to make her day better I was quite and as polite as possible. Problem was i was shipping a dvd media mail and she tried to charge me first class prices. No big deal i thought i will just politely remind her i am actually shipping media mail. But oh no that just pissed her off more she started sighing and stabbing buttons on her touch screen and even slammed my movie down on the counter. Then she interrogated me on what kind of movie it was(it was Spiderman) which according to the website doesnt matter and according to the 10 other times I have shipped out movies in the past 2 weeks doesnt matter. But for some reason she made it a point to argue with me and tell me she couldn't send it media mail. So I pulled up the rules on their website and she just said in a Huff that she would ask the post master. (Which was fine with me because I hope he will be more reasonable than her.) She was rude, unprofessional, uncourteous, and uncaring with customer packages as I was not the only one who had a package slammed on the counter. I will be sure to do what i can to avoid this place in the future.
