Mixed Experience at Bright Horizon Preschool, EverettPros:Well-Designed and Clean Facility:The center has a good architectural design providing effective isolation of different class areas.Security :The main gate is secured and there is always someone at the front desk.Cons:Front desk not friendly:They will just give you a fake smile; prolly different for different parents but you can live with it.Inconsistent Teaching Standards:While my child adored the primary teacher who was engaging , encouraging, communicative with my daughter, our experience with a secondary teacher was concerning and unsettlingSecond teacher:Lack of encouragement and Guidance:I observed that when this specific teacher is in charge, my child is expected to manage independently without adequate supervision or engagement from the teacher. For instance, when my child arrives at the center and stand alone somewhere in the class the teacher leaves her alone because she expected my child to assume a sit. The teacher does not intervene or encourage participation in activities.Putting my child on 'dirty' table for purpose of photo:This particular teacher, since she, most of the time, left out my daughter during activities outside or inside, during the photo time, she would put my kid on dirty table( where other kids played and painted), give her some painting pen or toy and take a picture of her and post this on My Bright app. You can clearly see this because she is just there sitting alone but not as part of the group photo. This is NOT JUST A SINGLE INCIDENT but multiple times. My kid sometimes arrives late and she missed one activity but there are plenty after that the she could have engaged and a photo could have been taken by then. FYI, this didn't happen with the primary teacherOutside in rain without rain suite:A particularly distressing incident involved outdoor activities where all children except my daughter were provided rain suits. When I pick up my child, her clothes were changed. I asked what happened; the teacher said her clothes are wet because they were outside. I asked her how this could happen since she has rain suite, the teacher initially claimed the inability to find my daughter's suit (which she has used it before), which we have provided on the first day, but later retrieved it. and she didn't even apologized ; she just said she will have it next time.Concerns of Potential Bias:The culmination of these experiences, especially the incident with the rain suit, raised concerns for me about possible racial bias or negligence.Because the second teacher, we had to remove my kid from the center.FYI: My significant other had arranged a meeting with the teachers about this concern and it was the second teacher who attended this but things never changed after the factRecommendation:For parents considering Bright Horizon, I recommend thoroughly discussing and observing the approaches of all potential teachers to ensure they meet your child's needs. In addition, ask your child detail about her/his day at school

Our family has had an incredible experience with Bright Horizons at Everett! From the moment I enrolled my son, the care and attention he has received have been outstanding.First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude to Leslie, the Center Director. Her positivity, responsiveness, and solution-oriented approach have truly made a difference in our experience. Leslie's commitment to ensuring a nurturing and enriching environment is evident, and I appreciate the leadership she brings to the center.Additionally, I'd want to highlight the exceptional care provided by Ms. Candy and Ms. Lacee. My son has had the privilege of being in their classrooms during different years, and the consistency of genuine care and dedication they've shown is remarkable. It's clear that they are not just teachers; they are mentors who genuinely care about my son's development and well-being.Bright Horizons at Everett has become more than just a childcare facility for us – it feels like a second family. The warm and supportive atmosphere created by the staff, coupled with the enriching educational experiences, has made a significant impact on my son's growth.I wholeheartedly give Bright Horizons at Everett a well-deserved 5-star rating. I am grateful to be part of the Bright Horizons family, and I highly recommend this childcare facility to other families seeking a nurturing and educational environment for their children.

We've sent all 3 of our kids to this Bright Horizons from 2016-present. Our kids developed strong friendships, learned how to share, how to clean up after themselves, and even how to act somewhat civilized when eating from the teachers at the school. Our children aren't always easy (each one seemed to go through a rebellious period at about 4-5 years old) but the teachers are loving and supportive. One other mention - Bright Horizons was strict with signs of sickness during COVID (our kids did get sent home when they showed symptoms) but they're a lot more flexible now. They do occasionally get sent home but only if something is really bad (fever, throwing up, for example). I haven't seen them get sent home for a runny nose in a long time (and they've definitely had runny noses!).

I have sent my 2 kids at Bright horizons. It's been a great experience. The staff are friendly, the school is clean and well-maintained, and the play area is great. My kids love going to Bright horizons every day and never complained. I Will definitely recommend it.

I could not be more impressed. Seeing my kids better off emotionally, socially, and intellectually than when I dropped them off was priceless. They just thrived there. That isn’t true everywhere. It’s hard to drop off your kids. Knowing/seeing this place has a top-notch and safe environment where they thrive and experience significant/different experiences was amazing. They experience all the fun things that they really want to do and help them develop. The staff is SO great. My kids are happy, more mature, confident, and better educated, just to name a few things. It’s fun to talk and hear the growth after we leave. I couldn’t be more grateful. Drop off your kids with confidence. They are better for it. Thank you!

Our family simply cannot find enough good things to say about Bright Horizons. After a stint in New York (at Bright Horizons Roosevelt Island) and at Woodinville in Washington State, we bought a house further north and enrolled our two children at Bright Horizons Everett. We have one child in Pre-K and our nine month old is in the infant room. The teachers, staff, and leadership are all beyond five stars -- creative, nimble through changing times, and attentive to the needs of kids old and young. It is a very inclusive environment and we will be part of the BH family as long as we have day care aged kids!

Don’t waste your time and money. Ridiculous restrictions that aren’t the same with any other daycare facility. They literally sent my son home for having a runny nose after crying. The staff obviously lacks common sense.
