I have used Chucks on a number of occasions for transmission rebuilds with quality work. I had Larry his son rebuild my Tahoe transfer case ( it was not broken, I wanted new bearings ans seals). After installing it, it would not go into gear. I removed it and returned it to have it fixed. Larry said it was repaired and I reintalled it. Same problem. It would not go into gear. I removed it and attempted to return it ti have it fixed. I had paid them $650 for their work. Chuck told me 'all you do is complain' and was angry and aggressive and refused to fix it or make it right. I took it to another repair shop who said it had been assembled wrong and parts were not available to repair the damage caused by Chuck's Gear. My perfectly good transfer case was ruined by this shop and I lost $650. I was forced to go to Spaldings to buy a used replacement transfer case.

Don’t waste your time and hard earned money. They don’t stand behind anything, even though they will assure you that they do. They are a joke. * I had them rebuild my transmission 3 times because THEY didn’t do it right the first time. I know I should have went else where the first time..

Took in a working Chevy transfer case to have new bearings & seals put in. After installing it would not go into gear. They blamed the broken shift fork on the shift motor. They 'rebuilt' the transfer case again but it broke with a damaged gear after less than 100 miles. They refused to repair it. Another shop found two bearing that had not been replaced as well as other issues indicating poor workmanship. I lost over $1500 in costs for a box of bad parts. Their warranty is worthless and they lack integrity, seeking blame rather than taking responsibility for their failures.

If you have a transmission that is popping out of gear. Or your transmission is making noises. Just pulled the tranny out or take it to your local shop and tell them to send it to Chucks gear. They will do the full rebuild and repair. And stand behind their work.

Is there an option for zero star?? These guys are some of the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. Larry and Chuck are very abrasive to talk to and resort to arguing about nothing. They definitely over promise and under delivered. The best is how their stories go around in circles and change. Wanted to support a local business but I'll go back to my people.

I don't even want to give them a one star. They "rebuilt" my transmission, not even 5,000 miles later the same problem happens and I moved to Utah to go to school, a little after they rebuilt it, so I don't have the money to ship the transmission nor a car to bring the transmission to them! They won't pay for shipping because they don't know if it's their fault, they won't work with me at all on the warranty, won't even send me a copy of their warranty policy so I can read the fine print. Won't let me bring it to a shop in Utah to have them look at it and Honor the warranty because they have to look at it and say it was their fault. So now I'm without a vehicle, no money, because I just moved and going to school. All because I trusted these people, and they screw me over. Don't waste your time, and do your research these people have no respect and no wish to help you when it comes to them possibly being at fault
