(GO TO BROTHERS AUTO ON 500 Naval AVE !!)Went in for a vehicle inspection for $200 and had it done. i got told that after they speak with my dealership about the problems, they will send me the quote and list of problems but that never happened even when I called I kept getting told that “the person who dealt with you will give you a call”. surprise surprise that never happened either. they would end up never sending me anything so I basically spent $200 for them to “inspect” nothing I asked the dealership they were SUPPOSED to call but they never heard from them either. I eventually took it somewhere else to actually get the stuff done and just about 90% of what they told me was wrong with my car ended up being completely false and the other mechanics were completely flabbergasted on why they would say such things because it was not nearly as bad as what LK auto TRIED to make it out to be

My car was making a noise, so I took my car to the dealership for a diagnostic, and it was my cv axcel. I called LK to try and get a quote, but the lady on the phone couldn't provide one. She said I had to make an appointment and have them take a look at it. I then asked how much their diagnostic was, and she couldn't provide me a number. So I made the appointment and then immediately called Frontier Auto parts, and they quoted me 300, so I made an appointment with them as well for a different day. So the day before my appointment, I called LK again and asked how much their diagnostic was, and the same girl told me she didn't know. So the next day I go to my appointment, I tell one of the mechanics that I know what the issue is, and I offer them the car dealerships diagnostic and just ask for a quote to replace the axcel and he told me they can't use the other diagnostic, they have to look at the car before they could quote me. I was upset cause I had called 3 other mechanics at this point, and each of them were able to quote me for parts and labor. I should've taken my business else where, but a friend recommended LK so I gave them a chance and they wanted 160 for their diagnostic but they told me they would only charge me half cause it would only take a half hour for them to look at it. Long story short, the issue was indeed my cv axcel. They charged me $110, and they quoted me $750 to replace it. No thanks, that was $100 more than the dealership wanted, so I got out of there as fast as I could and went to Frontier instead, and I couldn't be any happier.

They were friendly and got me in quick, that concludes the good part of the review. First they charged me $200 to hook their diagnostic machine up to my van, that was the first 5 minutes they spent on it. Then told me it would be $1,200 to replace my glow plugs. When I asked how much time they were figuring for labor I was told two and a half hours. They charge $160 an hour I was told, so that equals $480. That would mean the glow plugs were $720. Bought the glow plugs for $120 and did it myself. The auto repair trade is filled with unscrupulous people and LK did nothing to separate themselves from the pack.

I had my truck with them for almost 2 weeks for an electrical issue. I only have my truck to get to work so everyday I would have to drop it off and pick it up. They replaced a filter and did not actually fix the issue. They told me it is probably the EGR and said I should do it myself. They also told me their diesel tech was going to call me but that never happened. I don’t recommend taking your diesel to them and definitely don’t take your vehicle to them if it is an electrical problem.

Typical auto repair shop that is money grubbing. Took my Prius in to get it fixed because my hybrid system wasn’t working. They charged me $200 to run a test and told me the battery was a dud and it needed a refurbished battery for $3500. Got a second opinion from Reddit of all places and the fine folks on that site told me the battery was fine and that I should try unplugging it and plugging it back in. It worked and now the car has been fine for several weeks.I reached out to let them know I was disappointed and I got no response. They should know that the hybrid system could be reset and they should have tried that at the very least. Had they actually tried to be helpful I gladly would have gone back for any future issues I will have with my car.Instead I’ll never go back and now I’m leaving my first bad review I’ve ever bothered to write.

Find someone else. My check engine light came on and our code reader gave us a code. We called LK’s and they told us to come the next day at 1pm. We dropped the car off and didn’t hear anything the rest of the day. We waited until 10am the following day, still nothing. We called and when they returned our call it was a $900 estimate. We asked for the quote emailed. $700 of that cost was labor. Upon quick googling of the issue everyone said it was an amateur 15 minute job. So we spent the $20 on Amazon for the part and my husband spent 20 MINUTES switching the part out. He is not any type of mechanic at all. This was literally half a step above changing an air filter. I am just absolutely baffled we almost spend $900 on something that didn’t even take an hour. That also doesn’t even include the $160 diagnostic that doesn’t even apply to the work . It’s hard not knowing which mechanic to trust. Steer clear of this one and make sure you do your research. I still can’t even believe our experience.

Everyone I know has been recommending LK's for the last ten years, yet I just now finally tried them out for myself and I now finally understand why.I got a brake job done on my 2013 Spark and, frankly, there are a number of things they could easily have cheated me on - parts I thought would need changed that they verified were fine. They worked around my awkward work schedule, offered me free shuttle service (though I didn't need it), and STILL managed to stay below other mechanics' estimates (probably because they didn't try to screw me over, unlike literally every other auto shop I've ever worked with). And they stand behind their work - two year warranty on parts & service ain't no joke. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust. But these folks at LK's are the real deal; there's a reason they have such a strong reputation here in the Kitsap area. They earned it, and I'll definitely be bringing my beloved little Spark back to them next time it needs work.

Excellent service. Shop was very clear on particular concerns with the vehicle and didn't pressure me to get unnecessary repairs. Repairs were done the same day (though somewhat extensive), and the mechanic stayed late to ensure vehicle worked above standards.Services: Vehicle Inspection

Worst experience ever taking my vehicle to a repair shop. I made an appointment and dropped off explaining exactly what i wanted done and repaired. Over a week went by with no word about my vehicle. When i called **** (the mechanic doing the work on my vehicle) said he would call me back later that day with parts an work estimate. He did not. He called me two days later with estimate an went through everything with me. I told what to go ahead an do an what not to. A mo nth later i call to find out whats going on an **** tells me they finally have an appointment with the guy to weld the exhaust and hes coming in tomorrow. When i got estimate, i was never told someone else was coming in or someone else was working on my vehicle, i was told **** was doing it all and capable. 2 months later i go in upset an ask what the heck is going on and he says, \

Apparently labor hours here are guessed and/or incorrectly billed - consumer warning. Was billed over $900 to replace a power steering pump brought all the parts and had them replace the attached belt and a pulley at the same time. Should have been a 2 hour max job. They billed each item as if it were a separate (standalone) job even though the work required taking the belt off. Charged me for a flush without telling me or asking to have that done - not required. When questioned about the bill they said “oh that makes sense” and told me they would call back. No call the following week so I show up and it looks like they have no accurate way to determine labor hours - a guess. Paid $190/hr just for labor - that’s higher than a dealer would charge! Not a good first visit and will be my last. Can’t imagine how many people have been taken advantage of here that don’t know better. Two stars because they did refund me partially eventually, but no explanation on the partial refund amount and no apology. Took me 3 separate visits to get a refund and this should have been a $400 max repair still ended up paying over $600. Oh and they drove the car 8 miles while it was there - that’s a bit much for a “test drive”.

Nobody likes to spend money on Auto repairs, but if you have you, I recommend you spend it here. The entire staff (that I worked with or spoke to) was incredibly friendly and professional and they were great about contacting me with status updates and any pay increases or decreases for the work being done and sought approval before moving forward so there wouldn't be any surprises. My work was warrantied for 2 years and my car is running like new, thanks to them. Will definitely be using them again for future needs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Service: Auto maintenance

I am very happy with the business at Lks. They are always nice and courteous and friendly and always seem to work with you when you're trying to get things fixed. They explain everything to you how much it's gonna cost what needs to be done. I don't feel pressured.I don't feel that they push anything on me that doesn't need to be done and that's why I like going there. I think they have the best prices in town. Overall I am very happy with them and will continue to take my vehicles there. Keith the owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful.Service: Brakes

Took 2000F150 in for steering pump quote, quote cost $200. Backed out and off fell power steering pump pully and sheared belt to ground. The quote was $700 I believe. I was pleased he did the job for $500 total. After I drove off I saw the check engine light on, brought it back and they reset it. Within 4 miles it came back on. (never was prior to pump replacment). The other thing I noticed after picking it up was my left blinker blinking very fast, and the left rear blinker was out. I could not get it working and soon after the right side was doing the same. I finally got the truck into Town and Country where I get all my work done. I was stuck using LK since it fell apart in their parking lot. Town and Country found the wiring loome that runs along the front left frame had been crushed and seven of the 15 wires inside were broke. Said it appeared a vehicle lift was improperly positioned and it caught the wire loom. One thing I really dislike are laze workers that don't pay attention to detail. Fix cost me an additional $300....Merry Christmas to me, thank LK...
