Ace hardware is always a great place to shop. They honor their warranties without an issue. Products are reasonably priced. It's a bit of a trek but worth the time to get there.

What happened to customer service at Ace in Bremerton? I went to this store to buy a deck coating product on 7/15/24. I waited at the paint counter and eventually had to walk back to the front of the store and ask for an associate. I was met by an employee who's entire attitude was very negative. She eventually called another employee and he completed the order and got me on my way. I received a text message 7/16/24 saying my order was ready for pick up. I left work to pick it up. Upon arrival the staff seemed to have difficulty finding my product. It was eventually brought in. A staff member asked me if the guy who took the order had tinted it. Now, how would I possibly know. That is not my job. No one apologized for wasting all of my time. I drove home thinking all this out. I called the manager...who was said to be out of the office. I was talking to one of the 3 women that "helped" me an hour earlier. Still no apology. I canceled the whole order. I like to support locally owned smaller businesses. Regrettably, I am now shopping big box style. Very disappointed.

The employees were friendly and helpful when I needed to find items in the store. It was a pleasant shopping experience. It's better than going to the big box stores.

If I don't feel like running across town to lowes or to silverdale or port orchard definitely nice having them closer to home now that kitsap lumber on loxie Egans and national is closed
