“Another truly great pet store that typically has above average knowledgeable employees and line of products available. Prices also seem to be fair. We happened to be in this area and they happen to be open 7 days a week (at 9am!). They do carry Dave's brand pet food (for sensitive stomachs). It was not stocked with the regular pet food but the clerks showed me where. They also didn't have a lot of it but they did have 5-6 flavor options and does not expire til 2026. Definitely recommend this little shop (same shopping center as REI, Haggen's, Rite Aid and Starbucks (and many others!)”

“Amazing selection of products and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. A little pricey, but in my opinion, worth it. They carry the best raw food brands at a price that's very competitive with any other option. That is huge for me. I have two cats, one of whom with stomach issues, so I'm just grateful this store exists. Everyone in the store is always eager to help but never pushy.”

Everyone is nice and they have a great selection of treats and toys. Highly recommend!”

“Clean and well stocked. Helpful staff. My dog is on a special diet because of ph in her urine, and I usually get her dog food directly from the vet. I ran out on a Saturday but the vet was closed and panicked when I realized I wasn't sure what to feed her till Monday when the vet would be open. The PetSmart manager was super helpful in finding a solution for me. I can easily recommend PetSmart. It's nice to know there are employees willing to go the extra steps to help.”

“We ordered 2 JUMBO beds for our large dogs (both are over 80 pounds), one a puppy and one a senior with hip and leg issues that makes it hard for him to be comfortable. The beds are huge and so comfy! Normally they don't share, but they both LOVE to sleep on one together, with plenty of room. So now we have a bed for the living room and one for the home office. Great quality, quick shipping.”

“I think this is wonderful place. I haven't done a lot of shopping here for my cat, but I've enjoyed wandering around this nice store while my partner gets supplies for his birdies. He introduced me to Petco, and I became especially glad that he did when I searched all over town for Arm & Hammer Absorbex cat litter. I had tried two of the other Arm & Hammer varieties of clumping cat litter, and I did not like them (too easy to leave the box along with the cat! Not a happy experience if the cat gets into my bed!) But I liked Absorbex very much, and the manufacturer kindly gave me $60 worth of replacement coupons. The trouble was finding a place that carried sufficient volumes of litter for me to be able to use the coupons fully.I called all over town (B'ham is small, after all!) And one of my last calls was to Petco. Not only do they carry my preferred litter, but they had the size I needed! Po-ou was true to his word, saving their last box for me, along with instructions on how to follow-up if needed. When I went in, I was helped by Kim who was wonderful. The staff were so helpful, good-humored and just terrific.And at the end of my saga, I was rewarded with an amazing sight: A huge metal container filled with giant Lamb Chop stuffed toys--and I do mean giant!--at a steal of a price. Having fantasized that my mom named me for Shari Lewis, I had to indulge, and Lambie is now happily ensconced in my home.What a great store!”

“Came here for a new collar and leash for our Newfoundland. Like other pet stores, large and extra large collars don't have many options. While they didn't have any neoprene collars, they had enough of a basic selection. The staff were helpful and friendly, and gave a couple treat samples.”
