Our winery participated in Old Bellevue Wine Walk yesterday. I’m reviewing Veritables from a business perspective. My initial introduction to the staff was incredible. Everything was setup for us in their garden space behind the store. They were very anxious to help us in any way. The owner was actively involved in encouraging people to try the wines. It was obvious that she has a devoted customer base. Our winery has been doing wine walks for many years. Veritables is our new favorite place.

Expensive but worth it! I wandered in today while waiting for the bar next door to open. The person working was friendly but not pushy, offering tidbits on items I was lingering on in a very helpful way. The store is full of wonderfully-unique items, some of which were far beyond my pay grade, but there were so objects that caught me eye - lampshades, glassware, candles, pillows, you name it - each were unique in a way that few stores have replicated. I ended up purchasing some gorgeous rocks glasses and almost sprung for a few candle holders. Even if you don't end up buying anything, it's definitely worth a stop in!

JOY Every visit am filled with Joy Sometimes I I walk out with something ...a beautiful cashmere scarf ... an inspiration... some great advice Her store is fun classy and always leaves me feeling satisfied. When I am ready for a néw decor makeover am going to her! For now I pick up fun items ... a new piece for me, my home or a lovely hostess gift. Marie is the visionary and longtime owner who has weathered the pandemic and so many ups and downs over the years here in Bellevue. She is contemporary and classic all at once. You can find something for all styles. Oh and the sumptuous throws and pillows.... The whole store is gorgeous Oh and to the parking. Yes It costs a lot to have dedicated parking for her clients . Her spots behind the store are just for her clients. There is a parking lot next door for all the customers to the many stores including hers and the nearby coffee place. But the two behind her store are exclusively for her customers. Lucky us!! Let's support our local businesses especially the women led small business. This is part what makes old Bellevue on main especially charming - a sweet lovely neighborhood with high quality stores If you appreciate all the beautiful flowers along old Main Street You have Marie to think. When she was president of the local shop owners association, she took the initiative to get the large flower pots made I am local craftsman group on bainbridge island- work with her fellow colleagues to have to planted and to divide up the watering. She takes care of quite a lot of them. We all benefit from that. Thank you so much Marie. (I happened to discover this when I saw her watering the beautiful hanging flowers .)

I am a hard sell, I like things a bit quirky and fun. Marie is amazing she listens, observes your surroundings and magic your space is absolutely you but better. When you want a positive change she is the one.

Lovely store itself, but not so lovely service. I saw a few items I liked from outside and stopped in the store. There were three colors of the item and the associate thought it was necessary to explain to me that there were three different colors (did I look like I didn't have any eyes?) Then, due to the imperfect and unique nature of the item, and because I was buying them as gifts, I was picking through to find the best of each, and the associate proceeded to tell me that due to the price point, it wasn't the high end quality of similar items at the shop next door and not to expect what I'd get spending 4-5 times at the other shop. AS IF THAT WEREN'T OBVIOUS. I still have a right as a consumer to pick out which one I liked best and didn't need her looking over my shoulder and making thoughtless comments. I have never come across such rude and condescending service. Again, lovely store, but I would not shop there again.

Since moving to Hunts Point a few years ago, my wife and I have began furnishing our 8000SF home from the small shops in old Bellevue. But never again will I give my business to old town until this woman leaves! This lady is crazy. Just because I parked in front of her shop she yelled at me. Am I not allowed to shop at other locations? Am i not allowed to park on the street? Her inability to control her temper and attacking the shoppers of old Bellevue now has me shopping elsewhere.
